Five fiery, fated, and forever stars! Addicted. Unexpected. Special
Before I start my review for this book, I want to thank Angel Devlin for the paperback copy se kindly sent me. She was a new author to me and wow her writing is something else! It didn’t take me long to become addicted to this stunning tale. Absolutely full of a bit of drama, healing and new chances to start a new chapters in life. Waiting for Milo is unexpected and epic journey that surpasses all expectations. A fairy tale developed in family drama and packed with many laughs and all the feels but also a serious side that made this book unique.
Inside the pages of this book, you will find a charming romance. Angel Devlin did an excellent job to introduce us to the White family in a way that makes you eager to read more in the series. Those White men are dangerous for any hot-blooded woman!
This is the story of Rapunzel and the Prince, sorry I mean Violet and Milo. Things between those two weren’t simple, at times things were quite complex in more ways than one. Their story reminded me that every Prince wants a Princess and realizes they’re worth waiting for. Forget the consequences or family drama. Forget everything. And go for it when your heart is on it. That’s what this book is about. It is a tangled tale with funny bits, heated moments and a delicious storyline. The chemistry between Violent and Milo is out of the charts and the witty banter between those two had me laughing a lot.
Violet and Milo’s story is a modern fairy tale set in a small English town where the enigmatic princess with golden hair is finally discovered by the prince with strong body and stronger loyalty and humour sense. Violet is determined to have a fresh start after her divorce, so she buy’s her grandmother’s house which is a disaster and needs a lot of work but luckily for her, the White family still live next door and run a renovation business. Enter here Milo who sooner rather than later offers her his help with the renovation. For Milo, it won’t be a simple job because he had a secret crush on her since she was a little girl. Violet was the girl who he secretly named Rapunzel when he was a young boy. Fate brought her back to him and this time he won’t lose the opportunity to conquer her.
Milo is a force to be reckoned. He is overprotective and he goes all caveman when is about Violet. Something he must control because Violet needs to explore her independence. As they draw closer, some things from the past threaten to end their blooming romance unless they focus on the future.
There are a lot of twist and turns that you don’t know what is coming next. There are steamy moments and passion that keep you turning pages. Secrets are uncovered. Love is blooming wild. Friendships are born. Family ties are strengthened.

This is funny and quirky with a little sexy thrown in. Milo is hilarious but with just the right amount of alpha caveman style that you can’t help but give in. I love that Violet goes through her own process of doing things on her own but still knows when to accept help. The relationship is cute although I feel some things were either left unresolved or just skipped over. I can’t wait to see what happens with Cal and Becca next though.

Waiting for Milo is a cute story with a side of seriousness. It follows the characters Violet Blake who is looking for a new start and is nostalgic about the former house that she used to stay in with her Nan. Moving back to the small town is all about thinking about the past and moving into the future, but along the way Violet bumps back into the Waite family, who used to be her Nan’s neighbours and especially bumps into Milo Waite, caveman, protector and stubborn mule who has had a crush on Violet since she was a young girl and even labelled her Rapunzel. We see that life isn’t a fairy tale for either Violet, Milo or the Waite family and family secrets come to the forefront, whilst Milo helps Violet with her new house and they both try hard to not fall in love.
There are a lot of twists and turns in this book as well as character building scenes due to it being a new series. There is a lot of banter between characters and some steamy scenes thrown in to keep you turning the page. There is a lot of nostalgia, what ifs and just life in general problems that come with growing up. A sweet book with a good story-line.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review
“Rapunzel is all grown up now. She doesn’t need a prince. Doesn’t need rescuing. She’s got this. ”
Kinda sorta
Straight up this had me rolling my eyes one minute at the absurdly impossible then laughing the next at their insane antics
Know going in this is a light-hearted romance with a small touch of angst and a whole lot of “Milo, No!”‘s (you’ll see)
Speaking of
Let’s start with Milo.
He reminds me of my neighbor’s overly excited pup.
I’m serious.
He is full steam ahead and when he does try and slow his roll its like watching your pup slide across the wood floor.
You know its gotta hurt a bit but you can’t stop laughing.
Let us not overlook his extremely excitable libido either
Then there is our sweet Violet
The girl has had a rough start on life but she’s still getting where she can. Which is a good thing for the most part.
She is still running from her demons but it’s okay, now that she’s home her knight will lend a hand.
Even if she doesn’t want one, or need one.
It was highly entertaining watching her try and manage the wrecking ball that was Milo.
This is pure enjoyment for the senses.
Far fetched fiction packed with lovable characters (looking forward to their stories), hilarious antics and a whole lot of heart-stopping sweetness

After a bad divorce, Violet buys her Nan’s house at auction without taking a look at it. When she goes to move in she discovers that the previous owners destroyed the home that she once loved. She runs into the oldest Waite brother and convinces him to have his brother, Milo, come buy and give an estimate on the family business fixing up her house. Milo had the biggest crush on Violet aka Rapunzel when he was a child so he was overtly excited to help her fix up the house.
I was not expecting this book to make me laugh so hard. Not sure what I was expecting honestly but it was to laugh this much. Milo and Violet were hilarious. How over the top he was about wanting her and how she was flat out denying him because she just wasn’t ready for what he wanted – it was all just comedy gold for me. I really enjoyed how their relationship grew and progressed. Then with the family drama that they had and that Violet further uncovered this was a fun and emotional read. And his family – they were a riot. I can’t wait to see their stories.
