I’m a lot of things. The youngest Dixon. Town handyman. Best you’ll ever have . . . you’re welcome. One thing I’m not? The guy who falls in love. When Rae Jacobs enters my town with her ever-present laptop and caffeine addiction, she offers me a fleeting glance and a simple demand:Don’t fall in love with her.Bold.Assuming.Laughable, considering she isn’t exactly my type.Wasn’t.But she inadvertently … exactly my type.
Wasn’t.
But she inadvertently shook up my life with her alluring, carefree spirit until I wanted more.
Until I made her mine.
She’s a habit I can’t quit. A fix I can’t get enough of.
Each day brings me closer to saying the three words I’ve always mocked.
But with one call, the piled-high secrets she’s kept start unraveling around her, and I have a feeling the demand that first day wasn’t so simple.

Woohoo! Fix is such a great start to a new series of stand-alones! I love small town romances. I am so excited about the Dixon boys! I can’t wait to read each of their stories. I just know that they all have a story to tell!
I loved Sawyer and Rae. I felt their connection and was immediately committed to their journey. I liked how their two broken pieces fit together and how they made each other feel whole again. I loved the humor, the heart, and the heat in this story. I did not expect it to be as emotional as it was, but then again, it was written by the infamous, Molly McAdams. It will definitely keep readers turning the pages!
As much as I enjoyed Sawyer and Rae, I enjoyed their family and friends just as much. Rae and Savannah are the very first of the girl squad, and I can’t wait to see who joins them next. I have a feeling we’ve only been given a small taste of what it yet to come! Eeek, I can’t wait. I want more!
Review by Lys
Molly McAdams is back to her Contemporary writing. And I have kind of missed this writing from her. Don’t get me wrong I loved the Mafia stories she gave us. But she does Contemporary really well. McAdams does what McAdams does best. She gave us a angsty emotional swoon worthy read.
I love a great story told with the small town vibe. Where everyone knows everyone. And there is a past within the characters and the town. And that’s what this series is all about. I loved Sawyer! He was definitely book boyfriend material. Rae had to grow on me a little. When I first met her I wasn’t sure if I liked her. She came across as a little selfish and hard at times. But after awhile se grew on me. Once I learned her story and what had happened to her.
This book had all the feels. Love, loss, abandonment, heartache, betrayal, forgiveness, acceptance, trust, hope. It was a beautifully written story. And at times I felt like I could relate to Rae. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.
Wow!! Wow!!! Wow!!!!
To have the first book in a new series grip you and hold you emotionally hostage like this one does is EVERYTHING!! I can only hope this series will have many books to come. Be prepared to be transported to the quaint little town of Amber and never want to leave. I actually looked it up to see if Amber Texas was a real spot…. because I want to go visit!! (Sad to report, it’s not)
A love story w a gorgeous curvy woman and a handsome handyman. A love story between two people who grew up with very different pasts. Pasts that are so different but no less tragic than the other. Those tragic pasts keep them both stuck in their ways, making moving forward extremely complicated. If they could just get over their own crap they might be able to see what’s right in front of them.
Books are MY FIX and I need more of this family especially. If Molly McAdams could clone herself so that she can write this series faster I would greatly appreciate it. And after you read this book, you’ll appreciate that idea too.
