Dylan King never intended to get involved with Christmas Town. He’d arranged his business trip to include a short visit with his Aunt Odette. But now he’s fixing furniture for Over the River Retirement Home residents, welding a fence for the carousel and extending his stay every other day. If he stopped making up excuses to spend more time with Sadie Kent, he could finally get back to business … like he wanted.
Sadie Kent has fallen to a new low. Not only has she ditched Santa School (a birthday gift from her young daughters to regain her Christmas spirit after her holiday divorce last year), Sadie has seriously embellished her culinary skills. Between keeping her volunteer commitments and trying to find a job that won’t interfere with her daughters’ school schedules, baking and decorating Christmas cookies to help raise money for the carousel refurbishment might be one step too far. If Dylan King stopped offering suggestions and distracting her, and reigniting her holiday spirit, Sadie could prove she had everything under control.
Welcome back to Christmas Town where wishes in the heart, no matter how deep they’re buried, find a voice. And the power of family and love endures.

Will Sadie and Dylan find their Christmas spirit?
Five Golden Wishes by Cari Lynn Webb is an astounding book that I just couldn’t put down. Ms. Webb makes sure that her readers are entertained. The two love interests here are so well thought out as individual characters and are even better when they come together as a couple.
Dylan King
Dylan King is the male lead of the story, and he is an interesting character. Dylan throws himself into his work because he was going through a bad breakup, and this is a way to be with his dad. Well now with his dad gone, Dylan is trying to keep the company afloat without having to sell. Dylan’s aunt, one of the Knotty Elves, takes it into her hand to keep Dylan in Christmas Town while he is figuring things out. Let’s say Dylan is a very stubborn character, but he does alright.
Sadie Kent
Let’s meet the other stubborn character, Sadie Kent. Sadie is forever done with falling in love unless it follows a schedule, like a recipe, so that she won’t break her heart all over again. Except none of that happens. We can plan, but just because we plan doesn’t mean it will work. Sadie is another one of those characters that will bend over backward to help you, but when it comes to herself, she doesn’t.
I think the Knotty Elves have teamed up with Sadie’s young children to interfere in Sadie and Dylan’s love lives.

4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed this cute and sweet holiday read. It put me right into the holiday spirit. I truly loved the small town atmosphere and the descriptions made me want to go visit this town. Both Dylan and Sadie a little help regaining their holiday spirit and with the Knotty Elves on the mission they just might. I loved the humor the Knotty Elves added to the story. Sadie’s little girls are precious and just added another layer to the book. Then when Dylan interacts with them total swoon. It’s a great book I highly recommend. I’m going to go back and read the connecting books in the series.
A fun and delightful book. The writing is easy to read, the plot is well-paced, and the characters are easy to love. Sadie, as a single mom of two girls, needs Christmas Town to start her life over again after a messy marriage that messed her up some. Dylan, a business owner grieving his father’s recent death, needs Christmas Town to revamp his inner creativity and discover what he wants out of life. Dylan’s aunt and her retirement community friends are hilarious and definitely add humor to the story. If you enjoy a quick Christmas read that is uplifting, you will definitely enjoy this book (and probably all the Christmas stories set in Christmas Town; I’ve read a few and they are all equally fun).
I received a copy of this book via Prism Book Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
Five Golden Wishes is a delightful, fun, magical and quick read. I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas story. Dylan and Sadie were so sweet together. I could not help to giggle at some of the scenes throughout the book.
I am giving Five Golden Wishes a well deserved five plus stars. I would love to continue to read a story with the secondary characters from this one. Cari Lynn Webb has earned herself a new fan.
