Blake Anderson was stuck. Firefighter Blake is madly in love with his sexy baker but he finds himself pinned in the hook-up zone. Blake works at Station 2 fighting and rescuing the locals of Mark’s Corners. While doing 4 days on and 3 days off doesn’t give him much time to spend with Karen, he knows the time he does have he wants to give to her. After two months, Blake wants more and is ready for … more and is ready for Karen to be his.
Karen Proctor doesn’t know what to do.
Hocking donuts and pastries everyday is fun, but Karen feels there has to be something more out of life. She might not know much but she does know she wants to take her fun and flirty relationship with Blake to the next level. With the limited time they have together, Karen wonders if Blake would even want more.
Five Alarm Donuts flare up when Blake and Karen finally figure out how much more life has to offer.

I absolutely love this author and I do not know how I missed this and book one in this series!!
Thankfully I have quickly rectified this and absolutely loved both books. Light, fun, hot and sexy af!! Just what I needed!!
For national donut day, Winter released this cute story. It is a short story as part of an anthology. The only complaint I have is I want more! We first met Karen and Blake in Slow Burn. Which that review is above. Since they are short reads, I thought it was good to combine them.
Karen works at the bakery with her best friend Brynn. after Brynn found love, Karen though maybe she had it in Blake. While they date, she is afraid to say those 3 little words. The humor Karen brings has you laughing with them. Her and Brynn made this story. I loved how Brynn helped Karen’s love life along. Even though it was a super short read Karen’s personality shined through.
Blake loves Karen. He is a great character and you can see how after a year of this song and dance with Karen he wants to move forward. I really like how he treats her and watches out for her.
Overall this short story is done well. You get as much info as you can. I highly recommend reading Slow Burn first to get more Karen and Blake. As it goes for short reads, I give it 5 Pointe Shoes. It’s a snapshot in time but not unrealistic and I like that. I also want to read it again and crave more.
I loved Karen and Blake’s story. It was full of funny moments, steamy sexy times, and of course donuts! Blake and Karen are both ready to take it to the next level of their relationship but they don’t know how to tell the other how they feel. Will they get the chance and the courage to reveal how they truly feel…read this hot, quick, steamy read to find out! Another fantastic book…well done!!!
A Yummy little morsel .
Blake and Karen were so cute .Just the right amount of Sweet & Sexy to keep me satisfied .
Feed me donuts and call me pretty because this quick and sticky read made me as happy as a bowl full of ice-cream covered in caramel sauce and sprinkles. Blake and Karen have placed themselves in the hook-up zone with neither of them brave enough to take the first step to admitting their feelings. Two people who are both in love but scared to say the words out loud find themselves at a stale mate until a night of drinks, tacos and some extremely hilarious moments put a whole new spin on things. Five Alarm Donuts is hot, sweet, witty and will have you wearing a huge smile on your face from start to finish. Warning, keep a napkin around because you might just need to wipe the drool from your mouth with all the talk of hot fireman and delicious donuts throughout this book.
