Exercise is good for you, or so they said. So why is the Pilates instructor dead? Adina signed up for Pilates because she wanted to get some exercise, not to find another body. Initially ruled an accidental death, the victim’s business partner has her doubts, which are soon reinforced by a series of suspicious incidents. With no obvious motives or suspects, Adina sets out to identify the killer – … killer – with or without help from her favorite detective.

Adina thought she was getting some needed exercise, what she ended up with is another dead body. Ruled as accidental death, there are things that keep happening that make that hard to believe for Adina and the deceased business partner. Adina really puts herself into this case and all the characters in the book. Another great story in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I very much enjoyed reading Fit For Murder. This book is a well crafted mystery with several possible motives and murderers. In fact, the death is first ruled accidental. But Adina has a “gift” for sussing out murders and proceeding to solve them. I did not “solve” this one – always a plus. If you have not checked out this series, you should do so immediately.
Rating: 5 stars!
Fit for Murder is the fourth book in the Adina Donati series and these books must be read in order. Seriously, start at the beginning of the series! These books are everything I could want in a cozy mystery series! If you’ve read the previous books in the series, you know Adina has a “gift” of being drawn into murders and then solving them. What I love is that this isn’t a forced situation, it really does just seem to be her lucky/unlucky gift. The author does a great job of writing these situations, and she has created a fantastic character in Adina.
Adina is a strong female character with strong female friendships. I absolutely love this in a book! She is dating someone but he was a very minor part of the book this time. And, if you want to know my feelings about this guy, check out my previous reviews! Of all the books in the series, this one really felt like a strong woman book. There were so many great, diverse female characters and their interactions were just real-life interactions. Well, with a little murder thrown in, but you know, it’s Adina’s gift!
I loved this book just as much as I loved the previous three! The mystery is well done and complicated and Adina is a natural at finding clues without even trying. I’m a little out of practice with my mysteries, so that’s totally my excuse for not figuring out the mystery. 😉 I had two different people that I suspected of the murder, so I’m not completely out of it, because one of those was correct but only partially.
The author has really done a great job of creating a cozy mystery series that is fresh and doesn’t feel like you’re reading the same thing with each book. This is a series I will always recommend, especially for anyone who likes strong female characters and cozy mysteries. I’ve mentioned in previous reviews that the author has created a character that I’d love to be friends with, from a distance and that hasn’t changed! The more I read about Adina, the more I like her. I really look forward to more of Adina!
