Sometimes being a psychic vampire can, well, suck. And since Georgia was turned by her sexy hybrid boyfriend Zak, she’s been wallowing in regret. But when her long absent Aunt turns up on her doorstep, convinced that Georgia is a witch, she has to pull herself together. In the meantime, the Witch Hunter has woken and he wants nothing more than to obliterate every last witch from the planet. … the planet. Starting with Georgia and her Aunt. His plan of attack? Take control of Zak’s body.
Zak not being himself has put a serious crimp in her sex life, but there are other things to consider, like how to create the mother of all spells that will immobilize the Hunter – and save a coven of witches. To find the answers she seeks and recover what she’s lost will take all of Georgia’s courage and a touch of the power she feels flowing like electricity through her veins, but she’s up to the challenge.

What More Can You Ask For In The Pages Of One Amazing Book?
I absolutely love the ‘Australian uniqueness’ and colloquialisms’ that were used in the book like di@#wad.
It’s nice to read some of our local language in a book for a change rather than all the usual ‘Americanisms’!
A brilliant Strategy on the part of Mrs Hinchey was the character ‘The Hunter’!
His name was never used.
Always referred to as ‘The Hunter’ or ‘Zak’ & never as a person, a skilled piece of writing. Often by naming a character it gives that particular person more power & I think if he a name we would’ve hated him more, because we as a reader or Georgia herself (for those of us luckily enough to walk in her skin had that wonderful love-hate relationship with him just like Georgia did! A name holds great power the more we use it!
And the way I read the story – we always had ‘Sympathy’ for him, he did not choose his part in life nor did he want it.
It was cursed upon him!
I think (in a way) Georgia was his ‘One’ or ‘The One’ for him too, through ‘The Bond’, if circumstances were different…
She showed him love, compassion & what real life & relationships are all about.
And he returned that kindness & compassion by finding an easy way around the problem & doing what needed to be done! (I need to be careful here, No spoilers).
This book had everything the first book had, but more!
The real difference – Book 1 had great characters, action, romance and interaction between the characters, but it just seemed to lack a bit of heart & possibly description (I believe).
Not description of world-building as such, (the book was set in our world),
I think It’s harder when a book’s set in the same world we live in as we don’t have to imagination for some far off place in the universe or see it in our minds eye, but that’s not what I mean exactly.
I think Jane’s first book First Blade (Book #1 The Awakening Series) was a great attempt at writing a first novel.
To me, it slightly lacked that bit of something, I can’t quite put into words.
But Book 2 Had It All, And In Spades!!!
Congratulations Jane on a brilliant second attempt! You Nailed It Girl!
How many authors get it so right, especially on their second attempt?
It can take years for all the pieces to fall into place!
I Can Not Reccommended This Book, Book #2 First Witch, Highly Enough.
And Now Eagerly Await Anticipation Of Arrival Of Book # 3 First Blood!
I Rate First Witch 4.5Stars Out 5

From The
(Bye Love From The Crazy Australian Bookworm)!
First Blade (#1) – Well-written, interesting characters, story draws you in, the fight scenes believable and exciting. Only complaint – sometimes the vulgar language wasn’t necessary; yes, the main character has a few issues, but you’re in her corner. I read this book, and First Witch, in one sitting. Get First Witch, it surpasses First Blade.
First Witch (#2) is better than First Blade, which is a good, standalone book, too. A standalone continuation from FB, just as well-written, full of interesting, believable characters – even the known and unknown enemies. Packed with fast-paced excitement and a couple of twists. I couldn’t put the book down. Again, only complaint, sometimes the vulgar language wasn’t necessary. It has a lot more sex than FB did.
First Blood (#3) – A fabulous ending to a fabulous series! Another well-written, intriguing novel with interesting, developed characters and a well thought out, fast paced plot with twists. Full of action and humor keeps the reader glued to the pages. Jelly Bean is a wonderful, complex character, and that was before JB was born. Compared to First Blade and First Witch, the sex and vulgar language was practically nonexistent.
Wow oh wow! I loved this book better than the first one. Plenty of suspense and action that kept me reading till the end! I can’t wait to read the next book of the series! I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.
The intensity picks up in First Witch with Georgia, now a vampire, learning that she’s also a witch. There’s a hunter looking for Georgia and the tale gets quite creepy when he comes on the scene. The story is fast-paced and packed with suspense, action, betrayal, and some great twists and turns (the one at the end is a whopper). We do learn more about the ring and the blade and the connection between them, but the reason for their creation is still a mystery.
