FIRST COMES LOVE-an Amazon Top 20 Bestseller!
First comes love.
Then comes marriage.
Then comes a—
Hold up. You’re joking right? As if life works off a neat little list like that, moving down, checking things off before jumping to the next task. We’re not married. We’re not lovers. Hell, we’re hardly even friends. Noah Wilson isn’t exactly “life partner” material, and he sure as hell isn’t … and he sure as hell isn’t “father material”. He’s my older brother’s best friend, and has been off limits, sworn off, locked in the highest tower and out of reach since we met over ten years ago. With his devilish good looks, tattoos, motorcycle, and trail of broken hearts and tears, I’ve had good reason to stay away from the bad boy my mother warned me about.
Until one night. One stupid, regrettable night that changed both of our lives forever. And now I only have nine months to decide our fate, to see if Noah’s rebel heart is capable of anything more than a one night stand.
This isn’t a love story. This is a life story. And life doesn’t go according to plan.

I really love this book it my me cry and smile and will read it again
There’s nothing really new here. In fact, the falling for my best friend’s little sister trope isn’t even done particularly well. It’s not bad, either. It is what you’d expect. Noah had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, he remained pretty static for most of the story. Lauren’s neurosis became tiring, but her determination offset it well enough. Did I finish it? Of course! Did I consider DNF-ing it? Yep, but I didn’t and I’m more than OK with that. I loved Ms. Goodwin’s Dawson series. Maybe my hopes were too high for this one because of that. First Comes Love is OK.
This was a good book about Lauren, her brother Collin’s bf Noah and an unplanned pregnancy. There is a hea but they had to work very hard to get there. It is a great story but I don’t want to write too detailed of a review (shocker huh!) I’ll let you guys read it for yourself and decide. Till the next book review see you later!
Good story
I have reread this book several times. I just love it.
I honestly adored this story. It was heartfelt and genuine. These characters were so loyal to their loved ones that they never revealed their true feelings. One night changes everything for Lauren and Noah. The situation is bittersweet because they both have the opportunity to finally get to be together. However, past demons and relationships play a huge part in the success or demise between these two. It was packed with feelings and it was a truly brave story. I loved it!!!!
This book, *sigh* hit all the right buttons for me.
Brother’s Best Friend

HEA
“Someone like Lauren doesn’t happen twice. She didn’t walk into my life. She ran. And though we collided, only one of us got hit.”
It’s hard to dislike Noah, even though he started out as a bit of a douche. He is the kind of wrong that makes for an addictive read.
Overly positive heroines grind my gears, HARD. Luckily, Lauren is not one of them.
“I want an epic love, one that can stand the test of time and a villain or two, and come out stronger in the end.”
She gets that wish and it was a pleasure to watch it come to fruition.
A great read that will grip you from the beginning and leave you wanting more from this couple.
I enjoyed reading this book!
Out of Order isn’t always a bad thing
Secret crush on her brother’s best friend
Secret crush on your best friend’s little sister
The goody two shoes of the family
The bad boy and town screw up
Everything needs a place and to be done in order
Lives in the moment
Lauren is the most responsible child in her family. She is never impulsive, she has a plan. Her goal motivate her and if she can’t find the one, who cares. She’s trying to finish school first.
Noah is an only child to a broken home with some serious family issues. He’s a love them and leave them kind of guy. Everything is no strings attached.
Well,it was until Lauren. One night and nothing will be the same. Everything changes. Plans are in the wind. Living for the moment is harder to do.
Both Lauren and Noah are figuring out what they want, but will they be able to handle it?
It is a fun story that has secret crushes, reformed(?) Bad boy, and a good girl. What’s not to like!
I will say the editing errors were frustrating but not enough to detract from the Book.
I liked this book but there was a lot of back and forth on Lauren’s part. Some of it was understandable but sometimes it just came across as immaturity. Also, Noah towards the beginning of the book … I was like how does this guy get laid? The way he talks to Lauren was a total turn off for me but as the book goes on he stops talking like a total dirt bag and becomes sweet.
I couldn’t stop reading!
I really enjoyed this read. I didnt foresee certain plot twist early like in other books when you can just tell what’s going to happen. I enjoyed the characters. Was expecting more of an intense reaction from Colin but it all worked out well. The story line was very captivating I couldn’t stop reading and finished the book in one night stayed up till 2am cause I was so invested. I actually plan to re read which I didn’t normally do.
What a cute story. I became so invested in the characters I didn’t want to give them up at the end of the book.
I can’t say that I disliked this book, but I didn’t necessarily love it either. It was just ok. It’s a popular trope that just needed more substance. Things could have been done to make this book better and I liked it for what it was.
I did like the main character Lauren. She’s the goody sister who does what shes told and never gets in trouble. She is very kind and caring. I wanted to like Noah and get that his MO is to mess up and get into trouble. But Noah has like Lauren since they were teens, but he never acted on it since he found out she’s his best friends sister. I never got the feeling that he was as in love with her as Lauren was in him. This has to do with the writing. He didn’t fight for Lauren after he messed up or even after they hook up. I get the author’s reasoning for Noah’s actions, but it was disappointing. I also wish that Lauren would have stood up for Noah when her family bad mouthed Noah. He had been around their families for years and I get that he got their daughter pregnant with his bad boy record, but how they acted was unacceptable, judgmental, and snooty. Lauren’s sister-in-law Jenny was harsh as hell and should have been put in her place for her behavior. She wasn’t happy for Lauren throughout her whole pregnancy and said the worse things about Noah and being a father and Lauren should have called her out for it. But this issue never gets brought up and I think it should have.
I wanted to like this book but it just meh. It was an ok read that I finished pretty quickly. There were things I liked and things I didn’t.
This is the first book I have read from Emily Goodwin, and I am not ashamed to say that I wanted to read it first, purely, on the title. I loved how the title sounded, to me, all cutesy.
Noah is the quintessential bad boy. Was in high school and still is as a 26 year old.
Lauren is a quiet Vet Tech who is looking for her ever after, like her favourite Disney movies.
Lauren is Noah’s best friends little sister.
Noah isn’t allowed to want her.
Lauren isn’t allowed to want him.
Then one disastrous date for Lauren happens and she walks to the closest bar to wait for a friend to come and pick her up. This bar also happens to be Noah’s local bar to hang out at.
Lauren gets wasted.
Noah gets wasted.
Guess what happens next…..
Noah and Lauren need to figure out if they can spend a life together. And they only have 9 months to do it!
This book is a super cute and easy read. The main reason I didn’t rate it any more stars was because I found the last half of the book a bit repetitive. The start of the book was great! Really gave you a good insight into the characters and really enamoured you. But then it felt a bit like it just needed to get finished, so quickly write the ending.
Having said that – I would definitely recommend it and look forward to reading more of Emily Goodwin’s stuff.
The characters were terrible and I just wanted them to die tragically and quickly. Quit trying to read this garbage after 35%.
It was a hopeful situation but not that realistic which is okay because I love happen endings.
Omg
