How can he want to call his best friend’s son Sir? Or even worse… everything he’s dreamed of, Cornell aches to call him Sir.
And when Rhys makes him fly, Cornell soars higher than ever before.
But there’s one problem. Rhys is twenty years his junior…and he’s Jonas’s son. How can you want to call your best friend’s son Sir…or Daddy?
Firm Hand is a standalone slow burn MM romance with daddy boy care, an age gap, a very caring Daddy and a boy who needs it, hurt/comfort, mild D/s play, and all the feels.

I loved the emotions that this book gave
The acceptance to love and be who You’re meant to be was truly amazing.
Story was really good, feelings were intense, author kept me invested throughout.
Cornell has been through a lot but Rhys is there to help him. As they get to know each other better they realize that their wants and needs meet up. But there are some roadblocks like age and their history together. But when there is love and caring and people communicate they can find ways to overcome the roadblocks to get to the relationship. I loved seeing them come to the relationship of what they want and how they fit. I love how Rhys is so strong and will stand up against anyone who doesn’t understand.
I listened to the audio version and it was a very enjoyable experience.
Cornell thinks he is too old and broken to find a Dom / partner, especially after losing his best friend Jonas in the same car accident that left him nearly crippled. But Rhys has been in love with Cornell for most of his life. The younger man takes Cornell in after his injury and together they move towards a relationship that heals and fulfills them both. The hurt/comfort themes are strong and beautiful in this book, and seeing the men finally reach their happy ending was immensely satisfying. Wonderful writing, engaging character develpment, and a small cast of warm and supportive side characters make this a wonderful romance that I’ll read again and again.
Cornell plight broke my heart! All he went thru, the pain, the heartbreak, how he became lost after all that happened…
Rhys was his rock from the start… he stepped on when Cornell needed him the most… together they would discover how to make their relationship work, how to deal with their pain and loss… how to be happy and complete again…
loved it!
**AUDIOBOOK REVIEW – 13/09/19**

I loved this book so much when I read it, that I simply NEEDED to listen to the audiobook…
i got really disappointed that the voice used for the younger Dom sounded totally wrong… he’s younger, i was expecting a young man’s voice, being all Dom over an Older sub voice… it took me ages to get over the fact that the young guy sounded like a REALLY OLD guy and the older sub sounded like a teen… that really bothered me…
When I managed to somewhat get over that, I really enjoyed the audiobook.
Nora Phoenix did a wonderful job with this story…
One of the sweetest most touching love stories I’ve read! It just warmed my heart.
What an amazing story.
I’ve never read anything quite like it.
It captured my heart on the 1st chapter, broke it on the 2nd one, and throughout the story it was slowly mended back together.
I found myself crying, gasping, smiling, grinning, laughing, and completely enthralled.
Beautifully narrated and highly recommended!
A tale of grief, loss & steam!
I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. It’s the first time an MM romance has grabbed me. I enjoyed Rhys and Cornell navigating their complicated relationship set on the backdrop of their shared loss of Rhys’ father and Cornell’s best friend.
Can’t say I’m a huge Daddy kink fan, but as that was only in the latter chapters, the rest of the book more than held my attention.
Another excellent read by this talented author.

Wow, what a story!
I loved Rhys and Cornell. Great dynamics, great characters, great writing!
I really enjoyed this ‘different’ take on the dom/sub dynamics and then the daddy/boy relationship. I love minority stories and sadly this one falls into the minority of young dom/daddy, older sub/boy. The opening of the story was absolutely heartbreaking and I’ll admit to tears. Cornell is recovering from a serious accident that claims his best-friends life. The care, emotions, and feelings evoked for Cornell throughout his healing process were so authentic I felt like I’d lost a friend too.
Nora’s writing is passionate, emotional and raw. I felt every shift, every tear, every stab of grief as both Rhys and Cornell adapted to their new normal and then their new relationship. Rhys is a very powerful character and I loved that he had pined for Cornell for years before acting on his feelings. Even though Cornell is obviously old enough to be Rhys’s Dad those dynamics were never present and I never felt uncomfortable with their connection or relationship. Rhys was the perfect mix of care and ‘authority’. He is exactly was Cornell needs and while it was a tragedy that led them down this path, it was a wonderful journey to read.
I loved Rhys and Cornell and I feel like they’ll be with me for a while. A truly great read!!!

Wonderfelt!
Imagine sitting down to enjoy your favorite meal. In the center of the table is your most favorite decadent dessert. You know as soon as you take the first bite of your meal you are going to savor every delicious mouthful, and no matter how full you get, that dessert will be waiting at the perfect moment to make your taste buds soar even higher than your entree did. That’s what reading, “Firm Hand,” was like for me.
It was a delectable slow burn MM Romance, with enough D/s, Reverse Daddy/ boy kink, and sMMexy goodness to satisfy even the most finicky reader. Mmm… So good!
Even though the book began with a tragedy that would bring the much deserved HEA for our MCs, the style and class with which the story is presented is quintessentially, Nora Phoenix.
My heart was broken and I could feel Cornell’s grief. He lost his dearest friend, nearly his own life, he would never be able to sub again because of the extent of his injuries, not that many Doms were lining up for him because of his age. So, all those emotions, ripped my guts to shreds for him.
Enter, one Knight in shining leather, Rhys! Cornell’s Gordon and best friend’s son. Physical therapist by trade who has had a “thing” for Cornell since he was 16. He also has a secret he is keeping from Cornell, that could drive them apart, it he doesn’t rectify it soon. But, what is a good romance without a little angst and drama, right?!?
So many perfect blends in this story, from the pacing, character development, just wonderful storytelling, Phoenix style!
