Lawrence
Lauren is mine from the moment I first spotted her, she just doesn’t know it yet. When I put my mind to something – whether in business or in my personal life- I’m the sort of guy who follows through, normally.
I vow to woo Lauren, to convince her she’s the shining beacon that’s been missing in my world, when an unforeseen revelation ruins everything. Once I find out her last name, it opens up a world of complications. I’m in business with her father and he isn’t going to take kindly to our affair.
If I want a chance to claim her, just how much am I willing to give up – personally as well as professionally?

Love the story of Lawrence and Lauren and the insta-love was so worth reading this book in one sitting. I thought it was funny how her father reacted but it made my heart so happy that Lawrence stood up for what he wanted and didnt let her dad bully him into leaving.
Who is Lauren? How does she meet Lawrence? Why do relationships not work out for Lauren? What adversity do we see in this story? I enjoyed reading a book that showed body positivity towards bigger sized women! It was great to see how realistic the struggles could be in the real world show up in the story. Enjoy the HEA!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
I didn’t expect this story guys. If I’m being honest, I judged it before I even began reading. Every age-gap/insta/BBW Novella I can think of that I have read in the past has read very OTT and it has only worked for me very few times. This story worked for me 🙂 Cute, sexy, entertaining with likable characters and not OTT in the least!! Can’t wait to read the rest of the girls!
Fireworks is the first installment of the three-book series – Coffee Shop Girls – by L. Moone. I was drawn to this series because they were stories of body-positive, curvey women. You see, I am that demographic and love to read stories that I can relate to. I was not prepared for this new thing called “instalove.” According to Urbandictionary.com, instalove is “when someone who just meets you thinks that you are their soul mate and they want to spend the rest of their lives with you and have kids with you.” I guess this is not really a new thing since this definition if from 2011. How have I missed this term? Instalust is one thing but instalove, I’m not sure that I am going to like instalove in a book. You see, I REALLY like seeing a relationship blossom and grow into love. Grab your iced tea (you might want to make it a Long Island) and let’s chat about Fireworks by L. Moone and this topic of instalove.
Lawrence is a real man not like the boys that Lauren has been dating. He has tan skin with salt and pepper hair and a few crinkles in the corner of his eyes but maturity, like a fine whiskey, has only made him more delicious. He is forward and mouthy. He knows what he wants and after one look at Lauren, Lawrence wants Lauren not just for a quick taste. She is the woman of his dreams.
Since finishing her design degree, all Lauren has dreamed about and worked for is opening her own storefront featuring her very own designs. She is determined to prove that she is more than her father’s last name. Lauren is not prepared for the man who tried to steal her coffee at the shop around the corner from her store. He takes her breath away and twists her stomach in knots but its easy being with him and feels strangely like home.
I have to be honest…right? Even though I prefer a longer book with a romance that develops, I ended up really enjoying this novella. L. Moone has worked hard to develop the characters so that nothing feels missing in this quick read. Lawrence is drool-worthy and I love the sassy Lauren. My rating for Fireworks by L. Moone 4 out of 5 propellers!!
We met Lauren in Mistletoe, she is best friends with Emily. Emily who is happily in love with her ex-boss.
Lauren bocks at that idea until…
Lawrence is in a bit of a pickle and when a beautiful curvy female tries to take his coffee it’s lust at first sight at first for him. He has to know her.
When they both find out more about each other everything may come to an abrupt stop for this couple.
Flirty, great chemistry, and a fun story to read. Can’t wait to see who gets a story next.
