Everyone wants me dead: a demon, a lamia vampire lord, even a dragon. But now an unknown enemy wants even more… the “Black Death.” If it’s not stopped, the dragon will slaughter thousands. I’m Angie Ritter, former army mage and the first source mage to be born in centuries. I might be able to stop the dragon.
If I can learn to control my new magic.
If I can master the ancient entity possessing me.
If I can act like a grownup and stop fantasizing about the sexy were-jaguar I’m traveling with.
Oh, and if I can avoid getting my heart cut out, or drained of my blood, or burned to death… or, well, any of the countless other grisly deaths that await me.
Now something haunts my dreams.
Something hungry.
FML.
Warning: Contains scenes of sexual situations, realistic violence, and soldiers talking like soldiers.
If you like Myke Cole, Michael Anderle, K.F. Breene, and Shayne Silvers, you’ll love this exciting new series.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this book. Mr. Stacy is such a great writer that he pulls you in from the first page and never lets you go. I have read all three of the books in this series and I hope there will be more from these characters. Mr. Stacy has become my favorite author from the first book that I read of his and he has continued to be my favorite author with each new book that I read of his. If you like action and adventure and romance (yes there is a little bit of romance) then you need to pick up his books and read them you will not regret it!
This series totally rocked this genre: hard core. It hit the ground running in book one, and never looked back. I completely loved every single page of action, loyalty, suspense, pain, WTH, triumph, romance, and they’re-totally-FUBAR-now moments. It seemed like there was just never a moment to catch my breath in the entire series–there’s no such thing as down time when dragons, mages, lamia, vampires, were-animals, and chupacabra are bent on your destruction, I guess. Holy moly. I haven’t had a decent night’s sleep since I started this book…
This author has created a magnificent world with characters so real they will capture your heart and your imagination. Angela Ritter, Tec (The Jaguar Knight), and the Seagrave siblings (who are both amazing soldiers as well as being werewolves) can seem so normal one moment. They’re likable, genuine, loyal to a fault, and fun to be around. But each of them has amazing gifts and talents without equal which they use with reckless abandon in what seems like a futile effort to defeat an opponent that cannot be beaten. Along the way they will lose good friends, they’ll destroy powerful enemies, and they’ll dig to the depths of their souls to save humanity, never giving up.
As you may have guessed, this is a violent story about people who fight a terrifying and extremely violent enemy. There are plenty of adult themes and situations within this book, so reader be aware. While this, book three, could possibly read as a stand-alone, it’s not advised. Do yourself a favor and start at the beginning of the series with “Source Mage.” You’ll be glad you did. As for me, I highly recommend this entire series.
WOW! THE BEST ONE!
William Stacey has outdone himself on this third book of the “The Awakened World Book 3.” I truly did not think this book “Firestorm” would be as great as it was. It really had to go some to beat the first two in the series because they were awesome. Well, kudos to William Stacey, Firestorm is such a nonstop action book that even if you have to put it down for some reason your mind is still thinking about it and trying to figure out how are they going to get out of this mess they are in at the moment. Stacey had the answer. This book has so many twists and turns and ups and downs, I have to say it is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Also, it answered and tied up all the little strings that were left hanging in the first two books. And the ending, oh the ending is so very good. I was totally surprised. I truly loved every book in this series but I think “Firestorm” is the best rock and roll nonstop action I’ve ever read. I love this author and can’t wait for his next book, whatever it may be. Grab this series now and be prepared for nonstop action, weird monsters and even a love story all rolled together in three fantastic books.
I didn’t want it to end. This series has been a delight to read. Great characters, always evolving. Intrigue and twists to keep you thinking and love and action to keep it feeling real.
The author has done it again – he has created another military sci-fi thriller that is spellbinding in its intensity. It has been a long hard journey of self-discovery for Angela Ritter, but she now stands as a beacon of hope, learning and cooperation in a world rebuilding after a magical apocalypse overran Earth, followed by the invasion of mages drunk on blood sacrifice. For a woman who thought she was a monster, she has stepped up to carry on what her adopted mother began. I wonder what the world she and her friends will create will look like. Excellent read!!
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a very entertaining and action packed ending to the present series. I am sure Angie and Tec will be back for more adventures. Loved the characters and the woken world of magic. Angie is a super character and so relatable. I like the depth of the supporting characters as well. It makes for a very enjoyable and exciting book.
I received this book as an ARC and wished to leave a review.
