Fires of Alexandria was an engaging and fun read. All lives have challenges and some people make decisions that are more sacrifices than desires and are based on the good of others. I enjoyed the characters and the drive to make a difference by applying all that they have to progress and overcome. Inspiring story!
Nothing better than being able to feel like you know the people in ancient times. What a gift!
Not knowing much about Egyptian history, I had a difficult time getting into this book, and I didn’t think I would finish it. But, the author proved me wrong, and I couldn’t stop reaing it. I enjoyed it, although I had to look op definitions of many ancient terms. Good book to read on a Kindle!

Engaging tale about what really was the cause of the fire that destroyed the library of Alexandria. In a time when men conducted business and women were pampered and at the whim of the man who protected them we meet an astounding woman with a great mind for engineering clock work devices. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
