I am demon. I’ve never known the kind touch of another. Love and empathy are foreign to me. Emotions that I didn’t know I possessed until Jeremiah walked into my life.My angel was stolen from me and now I want him back. If rescuing him destroys me, so be it.I protect what’s mine.
I really enjoyed the interactions between the couple; I just had trouble getting into the story, maybe if I had read the others in the series? It was a decent quick read.

I enjoyed this quick fantasy read about the love between an angel and a demon. I liked the characters and the connection between them. There is some action, fun banter, and just the right about of heat. This was my first read with these characters/world, and I am eager for more.

This is a quick, intriguing story about an angel and a demon who fall in love. Loved the chemistry between Berus and Jeremiah and how they fell in love not caring about what would happen to them. This book is full of angels, demons, intrigue, drama, action, suspense and twists that kept me turning the pages.

I did not read the first book in this series and I still did not feel lost. I would have liked a bit more background detail, but there was never a point where I was lost in the timeline or did not have enough backstory to understand what was going on. I enjoyed this novella very much. There were interesting characters, a wonderful world, and a decent amount of rules of “magic” or powers. There was also plenty of action, sexually and plot-wise. I enjoyed Berus finding something he likes. I loved there was a character that seemed to be trans, but could’ve been drag, it felt trans though. There was never an explicit mention of whether the character is trans, but it reads that way to me. I loved that we got to see Berus and Jere explore their relationship and show their devotion to one another in the end.

This is a short little novel to see what happens Jeremiah and Berus. It is a quick read
full of steam and conflict.
A good companion to the series.

I enjoyed reading this intriguing MM romance; it has a fantastic story-line & plot. The characters are well developed and interesting.
There is: demons, angels, humans, portals, a netherworld (Hell), drama, intrigue, twists & turns, verbal banter, fantasies, insecurities, unintentional deceit, discovery, family issues, abduction, conflict & some steam.
I really enjoyed this one but I love reading story’s like this one about a falling angle falling univer with a demon who decided to be good after meeting the love of his life and being cursed with a set of wings. Berus and Jermiah are living on earth together in the city trying to blend in and live normal lives together as a couple after escaping a dark realm. But seems like they arent as safe as they thought they were when Berus starts getting visits from shadows at his window and decides must continue to protect and keep his angel safe. Then when he fails to do so and his angel is taken, he knows he will go through whatever it takes even if he must go back to the dark realm which he escaped. This was a cute and fund read and I really enjoyed both characters and got a good laugh when Berus was out looking for a job so he could help contribute. I look forward to reading the series that lead up to this one just so I can get more of their back story.
