Arden Lennox’s charmed life may be in pieces, but she’d sooner get her hoohaw bleached than move back in with her parents. She’s no longer the prom-queen princess married to the football star. She’s a broke, penniless widow, and it’s time she stood on her own two feet.An under-construction unit in a quaint Chicago brownstone is cheap (free), but it comes with an unexpected surprise. Tyler … Tyler Ramirez, her brother’s gawky high school best friend, is now a smoking hot firefighter who spends most of his spare time in her unit hammering, drilling, and screwing. Usually with his shirt off—a temptation she has no intention of indulging.
Tyler can’t believe his high school crush is living right across the hall, or how fast his fierce lust for her comes blazing back. She’s still gorgeous—a little sadder, a little quieter, but still with the amazing smile and sweet body that fueled his awkward teenage fantasies.
Despite her best intentions, Arden can’t resist grown up Tyler but the sparks between them send her into full retreat. And by the time she realizes the heat between them could last a lifetime, it could be too late to tell him…

Sweet brother’s best friend story. I admire Arden for wanting to prove to herself that she can be a big girl after having everything handed to her in the past. Tyler was just the sweetest, not giving up on Arden but also backing off when he needed to. The side characters were even more amazing. I hope there will be a book for Jamie and Mila next because those two need to get together.
A sweet and sexy romance. Loved Arden and Tyler. From their first re-meet to the last page, they had undeniable chemistry. Found myself rooting for Arden in her effort to move beyond her past to embrace her future. Tyler was everything a book boyfriend should be. I hope the rest of group of friends get their stories told. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC received via NetGalley.
What’s not to love about this book. Kelly Jamieson knows exactly how to draw you in from the very first page. We meet Arden Lennox, a woman who is trying to pick up the pieces of her life and looking forward to a better future. She will find out that family and friends is just what she needs to help her but what she never expects is that her brother’s best friend Tyler Ramirez would make the biggest impact.
Tyler Ramirez is a firefighter, a handyman when need be, a Fantastic Son, and friend but what he does know that when Arden comes back into their lives the crush he always felt for her grows even more so now.
Tyler & Arden will tiptoe around the feelings that are developing but you will watch them navigate through them and see if they can overcome fear on her part and his overprotective feelings he has when it comes to her then maybe they can just find a HEA that they both know they deserve.
Sometimes stories about a friend being attracted to their friend’s sibling can be the same. This one differs in that Arden is older than Tyler and that her brother, Jaime isn’t the typical “No one can date my sister” brother. Not that he’s thrilled but he’s accepting. Arden has a lot of issues that cloud her feelings while Tyler is very patient and understanding but learns that he has some issues that he needs to work on. I liked the interaction of all of the people that Arden gets to know and who are already in her brother’s and Tyler’s circle. This was an easy read and hope to read more about the adventures of Jaime, Mila, and others.
