Not as good as earlier books in the series, but well worth reading.
Great series, start from the beginning. Always new and returning characters!
Loved it!! I enjoy each and every book in this series!!
Love everything Patricia Briggs writes!!!
Patricia Briggs brings it on again!
One of my all time favorite book series. Fun with characters you get to know and care about in a world where some myths are just some characters everyday reality.
Fire Touched is a fantastic addition to the Mercy Thompson novels by Patricia Briggs. This is one series that it really is best to read in order. The characters all have so much history. Basically, Mercedes (Mercy) Thompson, is a Coyote shifter who fell in love with the Alpha Werewolf (Adam) of the Columbia Basin Pack. The adventures from the first book in the series to Fire Touched simply have to be read to be aware of all of the twists and turns Patricia Briggs gave to the many characters. After many books, Adam and Mercy FINALLY got married which ended up making Mercy “second” in Adam’s pack. Jumping to this story, it is a fantastic adventure! One event after another, basically beginning with a fight on a cable bridge with a gigantic Troll! After an unbelievable battle, the Troll is vanquished with the aid of a new character – Aiden, the Fire Touched. Aiden looks like a 10 year old boy but is very, very old. He came seeking sanctuary from Adam’s werewolf pack from Fairyland on the Walla Walla Reservation. After he aided the pack in the fight on the bridge, Mercy granted him sanctuary (Adam was unconscious so she was in charge of the pack at that moment). That action had unbelievable consequences! The Fae WANT Aiden back! Mercy and Adam have to protect him. Wow! They have jumped feet first in Trouble! One event after another! The Pack’s house is attacked by astonishing versions of Fae trying to acquire Aiden. Their house is really badly damaged, but the pack wins the fight! Adam and Mercy meet with Fae to try and determine a way to resolve the standoff between the Fae who want Aiden back and the honoring of the right of the Columbia Pack to protect everyone in Adam’s territory – humans, Fae, werewolves, vampires, etc. Quite a story! Patricia Briggs is an amazing storyteller! Even if you haven’t read the earlier books, you will be pulled in by the constant non-stop action in this book. Read it and I guarantee you will be a fan forever of the Mercy Thompson series.
Strong characters, great pace.
Patricia Briggs hits another home run with Mercy the coyote. Every time I read a new chapter in this series, I have to go back and reread all the books from the beginning — and every time, they are great. Great characters, suspense galore and top it off with just a bit of romantic drama — love, love, love it.
I absolutely love the Mercy Thompson series!!

Patricia Briggs books are just fun to read!
These books have gone from funny and interesting to weirdly abnormal ,trying to find something to write about. Disappointing.
