Invested with the powers of Mother Nature, four women have been charged with the almost impossible task of maintaining order in the supernatural world and—when the crimes are extreme—the human world as well.
Diana, a fire Elemental, is almost burned out. Alone in the world (save for her Elemental sisters), she takes satisfaction in punishing those who’ve strayed so far into the black they’ve … far into the black they’ve disrupted the balance. But her contentment is increasingly short-lived as she struggles with the limitations of her ability. An Elemental can track murderers to the ends of the earth, but not before it’s too late for their victims.
So when a child from a previous case goes missing, Diana is determined to find her. The only problem is, she may have to take on an entire coven of vampires to do it.

I loved this book. As the saying goes,Don’t Mess With Mother Nature, well it’s true. L.B. Gilbert brought Mother Nature alive as THE Boss of four Elementals. Considered sisters there is Fire,Water,Earth and Air. In this first in a series this book introduces you to Diane, the Fire Elemental. She keeps supernaturals and when needed humans walking the straight line. She has always been alone until she meets Alec. He is a very intriguing Vampire that wants to team up with Diane to solve a case that hits close to home for them both. Can these two bring their secrets out to share or will they go their own way. Read to find out you will not be sorry.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

This is one of my favorite authors I love the charters I love the plot.. Diana has to be one of my favorite ones yet
First in the series and a fantastic read! It hooks you from the beginning and has plenty of twists and turns to keep it interesting. And the character development and interaction is great.
Diana is a Fire Elemental who travels the world, along with her sister Elementals, to help keep balance and to protect humans and supernatural alike. She is fighting depression, getting tired of losing so many innocent lives, and on the verge of burn out. She is on an assignment when she learns that a young girl she previously saved is missing along with her mother and aunt. Thinking vampires are responsible she barges in during a party to confront them and meets Alec.
Alec Broussard is a vampire prince and scholar and holds a carefully guarded secret about himself from his family and coven. Learning that a servant’s son has gone missing, he starts asking his own questions. Already thinking his coven may be involved, when Diana shows up with similar questions regarding the young girl, he offers to team up to get answers, find the children and hopefully clear his coven’s name.
As an uneasy friendship forms between the two, the more questions they ask, the more dangerous the assignment becomes. Just when they begin to trust each other, Alec’s secrets come to light and his life threatened. Diana has to determine what Alec truly means to her and if she is willing to risk it all to save him.
The fire is dying inside her as the children disappear and she struggles to find them. She is lost but when another one goes missing she goes looking. She must join with a vampire for help. How is it going to work! Can they save the child? Can she save him. See if she can

While I am a loving PNR fan, normally I shy away from the elementals. I may have to rethink this after finishing the book. This novel can be read as a stand-alone even though it’s part of a series. Great beginning world building and character development. Loved Diana the fire spitting elemental and Alec the scholar and kick a** vamp. I think it’s a great escape from our mundane world.
I liked the characters and the pace. The story was original for me and I was quite intrigued by it.
I recommend the book to any paranormal fan.

Fire is the first book in The Elementals series and it is an interesting read. The story took a bit to get into but once it took off it was action packed and entertaining. Diana and Alec are a great couple and their steamy connection grew as the story went on. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

This is my first read by this author and I absolutely loved it. I’ll need to hunt down the next in this series.
Diana is an Elemental, she controls fire which is a deadly weapon against vampires. So why isn’t Alec afraid of her, he’s one powerful Vampire but Diana is so much more. They had great chemistry despite her trying to avoid him, it was inevitable that they’d end up together.
This story involved the mystery of two missing children, some rogue witches and the Vampire Coven.
I enjoy reading a story when the woman is a kick a$$ heroine.
If you love Paranormal and Fantasy then I highly recommend this book for you.
I love when an author can take supernatural creatures I think I know and make them something unexpected. Nothing in this book was quite what I was expecting. The vampires, elementals, witches, and weres aren’t typical. Even the way magic is used is slightly off-kilter from what mainstream media would have us believe. And that makes this book priceless to me. I also loved the snarky pop culture references that delighted my inner nerd-girl. For me, it was in the developing relationship between Alec and Dianna where this book really shone. It wasn’t love at first sight, it was something they both had to work up to which made it feel all the more real.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.
This book is awesome. Very well written. Diana is one tough fiesty chick. Was a great read. Many twist and turns. Keeps you interested.

Diana is such a bada** strong independent woman! Heart her and her bada**ery so much!! Whoa… she hunts the bad guys and destroys them! Such a feisty chick!
Monster hunts… missing children…evil people… an addicting read full of action and adventure! Along the way she finds a partner and… falls in love!
I loved every word, every action, every adventure… so thrilling and captivating! Cannot wait to read the next book! I was sad, angry and happy at times (won’t say anything else because spoilers!).
Full of family, Elementals, bad people, witches, vampires, love, secrets and suspense.
Perfect for readers of paranormal/fantasy romance.
