One woman on a mission. Four cursed men. A primal magic that threatens to destroy them all… her home to do her bidding, Sophie has no choice but to venture to the magical town of Twin Rivers.
Instead of viewing her presence as a curse, four men see Sophie’s arrival as a blessing. Carrigan, a psychic who hears everyone’s thoughts at all times. Hagan, a bear shifter who transforms at the slightest provocation. Jonas, whose losses have left him isolated and jaded. And Valor, a vampire without conscience or remorse.
Drawn to Sophie, these irresistible men find themselves caught up in a dangerous whirlwind of magic that runs deeper than they can imagine. But Sophie can’t allow her mounting attraction to keep her from her mission—because Mother’s wrath destroys everything it touches.

A pretty good read. I loved the imagery and descriptiveness of this novel and will definitely be keeping an eye on this author in the future.

I don’t read a lot of fantasy but I thought this was a really unique tale… great characters, a totally different representation fo vampires than I am used to reading, and great heroine. It does have a cliffhanger, so be warned.
I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review of the book.
I enjoyed the book and its broken characters. Each of them is a different paranormal, each broken in their way and desperately looking to find resolve in our reluctant witch lead. Though the coupling…er, joining, really, of our characters is predictable, such is the genre itself. But so long as you don’t go in expecting the most earth-shattering of fantasy reads, it’s an entertaining story.
Our lead has a deep connection with Mother Nature, far surpassing that in other witches. Though we’re told this often, we don’t yet know why. This bridge has cost Sophie everything she cares for, until she stumbles the various men who appear to be trouble at the onset and grow more tolerant, then downright necessary, as our story progresses.
This is the first book in a series, and while it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, it doesn’t resolve the overall story either. Looking forward to the next.
I enjoyed the book though felt like the story didn’t progress in the plot line as much as it should’ve before a cliffhanger leading to the next book in the series. I feel like while the story did progress, gave a lot of depth to the characters, and sprinkled intrigue in that they should’ve at least reached the first step in the quest (the great mage’s place) and end on some possible twist rather than where it ended. I enjoyed the story and the characters and will continue reading the series.

This is a story that is fresh and unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Yes, there are a ton of RH around these days. And Yes, there are lots of PNR. But this combination was truly unique. A curse to one becomes a blessing to 4 others. I really liked these characters and was happy to read something that was fresh. I’ll be waiting for book 2.
September Stone is a new author for me, but based on her Fire Possessed, the first book in her Twin Rivers Possession series, I’m promising myself that we will become well acquainted. This novel truly is, quite simply, a perfect example of what a “Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy Adventure” should be, and quite wonderful. Action, adventure, twists and turns, the start of romantic burn and so much more. This tale had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and great cast of characters. Sophie, the heroine here, is perfectly crafted and her supporting cast (especially her yummy guys, Carrigan, Hagan, Jonas and Valor) is also superb. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommendand I’m definitely looking forward to book 2.
**I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.**
At the very start of the book, I hated/was annoyed by Mother. After the first guy is introduced that annoyance calmed down enough for me to continue reading. After that the rest of the book went well enough that instead of resting to get better from an illness, I stayed up till the early morning finishing this book.
As for the guys, I liked Carrigan almost right away, Hagan took me a little more time to like, Valor I’m growing to like and I’m not entirely sure about Jonas.
There is a few downsides to this book, the main character is a Mary Sue. Another downside is that it felt a little unfinished, even for a series. Also the ‘relationships’ are not great relationships, more like codependency. Except for one they stick like glue to her.
I may want to continue on reading the series, but with these downsides and that it will probably be darker than I can handle, I’m not entirely sure.
Paranormal. Rh. 5 guys. Slowburn. Sophie has the power to cancel out other super natural’s powers. So when 5 guys come along that need to have there powers cancels they stick to her side. Sophie’s direct link to Mother Nature has her going to a twisted wizard for help finding the Lost River. End with a minor cliffhanger. Not your everyday everything falls into place Rh.
I really like Sophie – she just wants to be “normal” and live a simple life. Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans. Honestly, the prologue almost lost me. It seemed a little too out there and I wasn’t entirely sure who/what Sophie was talking about. But then it got into the story. I really liked Sophie’s meetings with Carrigan and Hagan, and looking forward to some redemption for Valor and Jonas. I hope book 2 is out soon.
This is an action packed read that is completely captivating from page one.
The characters especially Sophie, are incredibly dynamic and are just unfolding.
This is an incredibly fast paced and enjoyable read.

This author has taken the old reverse harem and completely re-written it. It is such a fresh and novel approach and not just based on physical attraction. Each of the people in this harem gives basic human values and cares to each’s need. Characters are vivid and vibrant with an excellent storyline. There is a cliffhanger and a book 2. I can’ Wait. This is my first read with this author, but definitely not my last!
