A lionhearted hero + scheming shifter factions = unforgettable PNR!“Rebel with a cause” Gemma Archer flees Boston one step ahead of a creepy stalker. Now she’s in London, trying to build a new normal — and absolutely, positively not getting involved with any men. That is, until an irresistible stranger prowls into her life. Liam is a sweet, sexy modern-day knight who sparks her sizzling desires. … her sizzling desires. The problem? He’s as loony as some of her relatives. Dragons? Lion shifters? Werewolves? The poor man really seems to believe the tales he spins.
Liam Bennett is fresh out of the military and doing his best to adjust to civilian life. But fitting in was never his forte as a shifter of mixed blood. He’s part lion — a member of London’s most noble family — and part rogue, with “undesirable” dragon blood. When the Guardians of London hire him to help maintain law and order, Liam jumps at the chance to prove himself. Soon, he discovers nothing is as it seems — not among his allies, enemies, or even his own family. The only thing he can be sure of is the danger Gemma is in.
A deadly foe has stalked Gemma for thousands of miles, and Liam has no choice but to spirit away his destined mate to his ancestral dragon home — the remote castle in Wales he’s been avoiding for years. But hiding out is not enough. Can Liam and Gemma survive cunning enemies and the deceptions of the past?

This is the second book in the excellent Fire Maidens (Body Guards and Billionaires) series. Anna Lowe has done it again, with an excellent instalment.. Gemma has recently moved to London to escape a stalker in her home town and now works in a book shop and lives on a canal boat. On the tube on her way to a rally, Gemma feels that someone is watching her. Also on the tube is Liam, a lion shifter, he is instantly attracted to Gemma and knows that she is in danger. He helps her escape the threat but loses her. Later at work, where he works for the Lombardi, London Guardians he is shown a photo of Gemma and told she is a Fire Maiden and told that he needs to protect her. Liam is a hero and whilst you expect Gemma to be a weak girl who needs protection, she is nothing like that, she takes no nonsense.
I really enjoyed this book. What I love about Anna’s books is they are all stand alone as have no cliffhangers, but in my opinion should be read as a series. I’ve loved both books so far and I think Anna has another hit series.
I loved this story. Gemma is a star. Unlike her predecessor Natalie in Paris, Gemma is a go getter, and self assured. Although she thinks Liam is as crazy as her father, she is still kind and caring, also there is that chemistry that Liam stirs in her. This one is a winner and I thought the Guardians were bad in Paris, they are even worse in London. It’s no wonder the magic that hides the shifters is weakening. The narrator brings a certain life to the heroine. I also think if the book was read by both a male & female reader, reading the perspective from the hero & heroines point of view would bring a whole new dimension to this story.
Format: audiobook
Another winner from this author with great characters and stunning locations. Liam’s shifter side is particularly interesting.
I Loved Gemma’s character she’s feisty and I couldn’t wait for her and Liam’s showdown with the scheming guardians of London.
This narrator does a pretty good job with the British accent, as a Brit myself it didn’t have me cringing and so didn’t distract from the story.
The Guardians of London assign the job of taking care of and keeping London safe to Liam. He is part lion and part dragon and wants to prove himself to the Guardians. Gemma is on the run from a staker and winds up in London. Liam will do everything and anything to keep Gemma safe; especially when he feels that she is his mate. He has one place in mind that they could go. He thinks this place will be safe but no everything goes according to his plan.
This story had twist and turns that will surprise you; making you anxious to see what the next page will bring. These are great characters and you want them to find their HEA. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait for the next one.
Gemma Archer is determined to change the world one rally at a time. Unfortunately, there is a creepy stalker after her who she can’t seem to get away from. When Liam Bennett steps in to save her she realizes there is more to the world than she thought. While fighting enemy dragons, dealing with past deceptions, and finding out she is a Fire Maiden, Gemma falls in love with Liam. But will it last?
I really loved Gemma. She was smart, strong, and wasn’t afraid to wield a sword. She was everything I love seeing in a heroine. Liam was strong, caring, and protective. I love these two together and was so glad Liam got his HEA. Also, I really love the side characters in this book. Sergio, Garrett and her father were great characters and I really want to see more of them in the future.

Anna takes us on a journey through London and Wales that will have you captivated from start to finish.
Knowing all the landmarks and having seen most of them myself made me feel like I was experiencing the story first hand and the quest for Fire maidens to protect the cities and bring peace just hold dear to my heart.
Gemma is truly a fire maiden after my heart as the causes she fights for a close to me and I hope and pray everyday that we will all live in peace and harmony.
You just cant help rooting for Gemma and Liam as there chance first meeting reminded me of rush hour crush in the metro.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Book 2 in Fire Maiden book by Anna Lowe
I was apprehensive to read/listen to this because it is the London one. I love audiobooks but not many narrators pull off British accent and I love Kelsey Osborne narration and I shouldn’t have worried. Even though Kelsey Osborne didn’t really do accents as such with the characters but got posher when dealing with the upper class characters instead. This a totally enjoyable instead of me thinking that is a terrible accent I was just able to enjoy the story and get completely suck in like I usually do with a Anna Lowe book.
Gemma leaves America to stay with her British father after being stalked by a weird guy but when she get on tube to go to a rally she comes across another weird creepy guy but before he can do anything Liam a lion shifter steps in a saved her.
I absolutely love that this is based in uk and that the writer took the time to really research London and even tube stops but also has beautiful Wales in it as well.
Really looking forward to more in this series especially Liam friends that helped him in this book.

Overall: 5 Stars

This is another well-crafted story by Ms. Lowe. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Gemma and Liam. He was sweet, charming, and funny. Gemma was smart and sweet. Loved the side characters of Gareth, Sergio, and Gemma’s slightly addled father. I even found Electra amusing. She was the perfect semi-villian.
The narration was well done. Ms. Osborne certainly has grown as a narrator since I first heard her.
I’m looking forward to book 3. I bet it’s going to be just as lovely!
Disclosure: I received a free copy of the audiobook. I also purchased the Kindle version.
In this second book of this series, we get Liam and Gemma’s story. We met Liam in the first of the series, but these books definitely can read as standalones. Liam is the lion-shifter with dual bloodlines, lion and dragon, so the Guardians consider him – of mixed heritage and undesirable because of the dragon bloodlines from his father, but when they see that Gemma – a Fire Maiden, they task Liam to the job of seducing her and bringing her in to the Guardians. But Gemma is Liam’s mate, he feels it deep in his soul, so how will he convince Gemma that she’s his soul mate after she finds out about his orders?
It’s fun to get to know these two, Liam is still the same sexy, fun shifter we met before and Gemma is a strong heroine that shows she’s not a pushover or someone to be kept in a corner. The action scenes are fantastic, the sex scenes – hot, and the world building is still developing with this world and the author makes you feel like you are there. Highly recommended and looking forward to the next one.

Just like the first book in this series, I absolutely loved this book! So much action and love as well as attempted deception and an awesome surprise with our lovely shifter this time. I don’t want to give anything away but will tell you that you will love this book!
Fire Maidens: London is the second book in the Billionaires & Bodyguards series. While it isn’t necessary to read them order (they all are complete stories with no cliffhanger), I recommend reading in order because there are characters that come from previous book.
Read to find out how Liam convinces Gemma that not all is as it seems and that he is more than just any shifter. He is her mate. The journey is filled with action, deceit, fated mates and overcoming the past.
Fire Maidens: London
First let me start off by saying that this is the second book in the Fire Maidens Billionaires and Bodyguards series. Each of these books are written as a standalone however I always suggest waiting them in order to make the little things flow better.
I am loving this series so far. The characters are engaging and perfectly written. I love getting to read about all these different species of shifters. The world Anna Lowe has created is one where I want to live. Gemma and Liam are so great together. I’m really looking forward to the next book in this series.
I love this new series by Anna Lowe! We meet Liam in the first book, Fire Maidens: Paris and my heart went out to him hoping he’d find his match and boy did he find his match!
Gemma is being stalked in the US and flees to London where she runs into problems but Liam immediately is there to rescue her. Gemma doesn’t really believe in shifters and whenever her dad talked about them, she always thought he was crazy but suddenly she’s starting to wonder.
Liam and Gemma hit it off immediately but then he starts talking about shifters and Gemma thinks he’s kind of crazy too! Liam has to report to the Guardians and they want Liam to woo Gemma so that they can control her. Unfortunately for Liam, he’s already fallen for her and now he’s afraid that she’s going to think the only reason why he’s interested is so that he and the Guardians can control her.
As always, all isn’t as it seems to be. Enjoy this shifter series where lions and dragons come to life!
Ms. Lowe is off to a wonderful series as we learned with the Paris maiden now we get to travel to London where Gemma arrives fleeing from a mysterious and creepy stalker. As she is trying to get away Liam comes to her rescue.
Thus begins our journey as Liam faces his clan and discovers who Gemma is and being told he must mate and bear babies to so the council can take them and raise them.
Mystery and love come together in this new exciting series. Grab your copy and hang on for thee ride. I voluntarily chose to read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for my honest opinion.

Definitely Must Read!
The Lombardi DragonShifter Clan wants to take over London. Now the Fire Maiden has been spotted, they think that if they capture her, London is there’s. Will they succeed?
Gemma Archer has left Boston, more like running to London from a stalker who kept telling her she’s his Maiden. This world is crazy, Dragon are here! Right! So she runs right into prince charming’s arms.
Liam Bennett is a Lion Shifter of mixed blood, which makes him low on the totem pole. Finally getting a chance to climb up with the guardians, until they ask the impossible!
This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love reading all her books, She put me right in the middle, heart pounding, sweat breaking out! The fear, the joy – she has me every time.
Fire Maidens: London brings us Lions and Liam! This was enjoyable to read for the drama of the Fire Maidens as well as the romance of Liam and Gemma.
How Gemma couldn’t fall for Liam or Liam for Gemma. They had chemistry with a push and pull against each other, Liam protecting Gemma and Gemma letting Liam while trying to figure out how to help him. Gemma was perfect when dealing with the everyone whether it be the council or Liam’s family. Liam took a leap of faith for his love for Gemma and learned more about himself then he ever expected. I loved Gemma’s dad being a little out there. But I loved even more Gareth “the butler” for Liam’s family. He was perfect, there is so much more there.
London followed Paris but was completely its own story. There were references to Tristen, Natalie & Paris, but you didn’t have to have read the story to enjoy London. Tour Europe and the Fire Maidens starting where you want!
Gemma headed to London to hide out a bit from a creepy stalker. She has started making her self at home, embracing her new city, when she seems someone that seems really familiar, and not very friendly. Liam just happens to accidentally come to her rescue, then heads off to a meeting. His meeting isn’t at all what he expects and he isn’t happy with the orders he receives.
I loved Gemma and her no nonsense attitude and the fact that she trusts her gut, even when maybe her brain would have her rethink things sometimes. I wish we had gotten to know more about Sergio. I am looking forward to reading the next book and the adventures that await in Rome.
Gemma and Liam’s journey to their happy forever is full of spine-chilling suspense, superb action, powerful shifters, humor, fantastic vivid scene descriptions, and fiery, passionate romance.
Gemma abandons her home in Boston to escape a stalker who claims she belongs to him. London is the home of her dad who is certain she is in grave danger from evil dragons. Not believing that dragons exist, she humors her beloved dad. Liam Bennett is part lion/dragon shifter who never fit in with his noble family. He lost both his parents at a young age, and no one ever told him the truth of how they met their demise. When they meet for the first time, flaming desires rise between them. Together they face horrific life-threatening danger before reaching their happy forever.
Fabulous well-written imaginative shifter read. Gemma is a courageous force, and Liam is full of protective surprises. Their romance is genuine, which makes them a perfect match. (I enjoyed this story so much I reviewed the pre-release E-copy received from the author.)
An innocent meeting turns into so much more.
Paris is run by Dragons, London is run by the Lions.
Great and thoroughly enjoyable second book that just gives us so much story and has lots happening. I love how this plays out and how it ends.
I do recommend reading Fire Maidens Paris first, to get a good feel for this series and Liam as he is in book one.
Once again Ms Lowe has written a captivating story that is hard to put down, full of descriptive writing describing London, making you feel like you are there.
The lions are exactly as one would expect. Haughty, overly proud, indomitable and controlling. The rest of the council though is quite eclectic with some interesting shifters amongst them.
Into this mix of machinations comes Gemma, an American who is visiting and working in London. She is a strong believer in acting for good causes and also has her father living there, but the biggest reason she is in London is due to having to flee a creepy stalker.
Gemma is smart, likeable and has a few different tricks up her sleeves when it comes to defending herself and others.
How Gemma put the council members in their place at the end was fantastic.
Liam has been in the French Foreign Legion for the last ten years. He is a mixed shifter, the only child of a dragon father and a lion mother. He has been raised by lion relatives after the deaths of his parents who have denigrated his dragon father for all of his life.
Due to being a soldier he was such a strong, able character but a sweetie too and his lion side was a real character.
I loved what happens once he returns to his ancestral home, finds out some home truths about his parents and relatives.
The big battle scene with Gemma taking up arms and how Liam finds his true self absolutely entertained me.
Though I can understand Gemma’s disbelief, when Liam talked about dragons being after her and other types of shifters, I thought she would be more open minded. Gemma thinks he is suffering PTSD but her dad has raised her on the belief that these things exist and she doesn’t even start to wonder if it could be true, even a little bit.
Boy does she get a big surprise.
Liam’s fellow soldier Sergio plays a big part in this story and I am looking forward to his story in ROME.
I was kindly given this book to read for an honest review and have read it through KU as well.
I also have the audible version which I enjoy too.
I loved Gemma and Liam, they’re so selfless and unassuming. Gemma’s “wacky professor” father adds to her backstory. Destiny, though, has big plans for them. With Liam as her protector the baddies don’t stand a chance. If he can only bring himself to explain to her what is going on, maybe she will accept his affections. In the meantime he’ll do anything to keep her safe. Even face his own demons. The storytelling in this book drew me in from page one and I couldn’t put it down till the end. Love, love these shifters.
