While we’re not able to travel, Anna’s books will take you to exotic locations with swoony love stories and adventures that will keep you turning pages! Plus all her books are in audio so you can listen too!
Ms Lowe just keeps me entertained on our voyage around European countries.
I loved feeling like I was in Ireland with all that beautiful greenery and scenery. I could hear the lilting Irish accents and envision the places as I read.
Very different having Irish Elk shifters and the characters and story were entertaining.
Loved both Finn and Grace and the fact they had met as children was sweet.
More turmoil with the Lombardi’s involved and discord within the family and village and in relation to neighbouring power hungry wolves.
This is my honest review of this book.
I love this series and book 5 is awesome. Each book is it’s own story with it’s own happy end but you get a hint who will be a star in future books because he helps out in mission before. I love it . You get a crush before you even start a book lol. The magic in this book takes place in the homeland of my great grandparents! So this one is special to me.
Grace Connolly inherited a cottage in Ireland. She would visit the area as a kid so the cottage held a place in her heart as did a little boy she would play with in the area who had saved her life.
Finn Hurley very mysterious and hot is that little boy lol he is a Dragon shifter
Grace’s family has lots of secrets, there is magic and shifters, danger, spice, action and much more in this story. I love the characters and couldn’t put it down. Don’t miss it. Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it. Own this one on audible. Wow its amazing
Another perfect addition to this series. I love the way these two met and how the story progressed with their love and understanding. This is a great series so far and I can’t wait for the next.
Book 5 in Fire Maiden series by Anna Lowe
Finn is a dragon shifter that finally goes home after growing issues of not having a Fire Maiden in Ireland.
Grace is from Boston and after a great uncle dies and leaves his cottage to her in Ballyfianna. This is a small beautiful village with a very close community.
When Grace comes to village she finds Finn and realises he’s the little kid she played with as a child when visiting her great uncle.
I really like that there a lot more to Grace then just one side of her heritage being possible magic.
Grace talks about both sides of her family her father is from Ireland and her mother’s from Saint Kitts.
I was wondering how the narrator was going to do this one and I was worried it could possibly be a bad Irish accent but I shouldn’t have worried.
Kelsey Osborne is a wonderful narrator, with this book is doesn’t do a accent she just narrators in her own current accent.
I would prefer this rather then doing a terrible fake accent. Absolutely love this storey but it’s definitely improved with the fantastic Kelsey Osborne narration.
I thought this story was sweet how it opened with Grace and Finn. Of course as things go, there is a reality that sets in when Grace suddenly finds out a lot more then she ever suspected about the world around her. Grace and Finn face the magic of the Isle as well as the dark underside. It is a whirlwind story for both of them that we get to tag along. Once you start reading, the story will sweep you in.
Everyones treasure is unique but it is out there
You just have to search for it.
And trust your heart. Trust your instinct and trust your inner voice.
I love Anna Lowe books and this one is no exception. I love the dragons and the goodness in the storylines. I love the way the story meanders like a lovely irish lilting melody. And the way each Fire Maiden and their mate have their own unique song to sing but they are all a part of the same choir and singing with all their hearts.
There’s just something about an Anna Lowe book – I know I’m going to love it before I even crack open the virtual cover. Her characters live and breathe on the page. They’re multifaceted, they’re flawed… they’re human (inner “animal” notwithstanding). Her stories may be Paranormal Romance, but I defy you to pigeonhole her! There’s always something unique in her stories. Beloved tropes and themes are used – good vs. evil; long lost love; Fated Mates – but never quite in the way one would expect.
In “Fire Maidens: Ireland” we have a charming mix of Romance tropes here: Friends-to-Lovers, Childhood Sweethearts, Good vs. Evil, Mixed-race Romance, and Fated Mates. I would contend, however, that we also have a lesson in choosing how we use our power.
Grace could have grown up using her familial gift for her own gain – she could have looked at it as “witchcraft,” and decided that it (and she) were evil – but Grace chose to use that gift in a positive way, which ultimately resulted in even more good being done. She also uses her more “mundane” gifts and talents to give back to her community, helping her neighbors.
In our daily lives, each time we choose to be kind, instead of turning a blind eye, we don’t always realize the impact we have on the lives of others. One act of kindness can truly turn a person’s life around. For Grace, she can see the changes in the lives of people she teaches about savings and money. That’s a truly important and generous gift.
As for Finn, while he may seem more laidback, less intense than some of the other Heroes in this series, he’s exactly right for Grace. He’s known he’s been in love with someone he may never see again for most of his life, and when he finds her, rather than demand she stay with him in Ireland, he’s willing to let her go. Finn is willing to make his home wherever Grace is. His willingness and ability to acknowledge her strength, to support her in anything she decides to do, makes him one of my favorite or all Anna Lowe Heroes.
Of course, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the locale of “Fire Maidens: Ireland.” The little village of Ballyfianna, Northern Ireland brought back lots of hazy memories for me. The Giant’s Causeway, the castle ruins… throw in the addition of giant Elk shifters, and Irish folklore, and small-town characters, and I was in heaven.
It’s always a complete pleasure to review an ARC for Ms. Lowe, and I barely wait until the next book is released!
Fire Maidens: Ireland is the fifth in the series and is the tale of Finn and Grace. Their story begins when they befriend each other at a young age during Grace’s family vacation. Years later and they still are single because every person they have come in contact with over the years never meet up to that chance meeting. When Grace suddenly inherits her great uncle’s property in Ireland, she thinks it will give her what she has been missing all these years but finds that and so much more.
Read to find out how Finn and Grace handle the mating call, the intrusiveness of the locals and Finn’s family, and the evil that is lurking on the outskirts of town. Can Grace accept that Ireland is where she needs to be or will she sacrifice her heart for the love of her music?
Grace inherits a cottage in Ireland and heads there to deal with it. Finn has headed home to help out with some things. They are both surprised when they run into the friend form their childhood that they never could forget.
I love this series, each couple is so wonderfully unique. Finn and Grace are one of my favorites. and I am very much looking forward to Lachlan’s book.
This is such a great series and this one is set in Ireland with Grace and Finn.
Grace has just inherited a small cottage in Ballyfianna. She’s returned to Ireland to see it and is walking around a nearby castle, when she gets yelled at by a townsperson. Finn, is a dragon shapeshifter who happens across this encounter and when he sees the woman, he realizes it’s Grace. Turns out that Grace and Finn were best friends when they were little kids until Grace went to Boston and never returned to Ireland. But she’s here now having inherited this cottage.
This books introduces you to the wonderful characters and different shape shifters of Ireland while also bringing you this beautiful love story between two adults who were so close when they were young.
Anna Lowe writes another beautiful tale of shapeshifters in love. Such a great story!
“Fire Maidens: Ireland is full of wondrous surprises with fantastic character interaction, brilliant vivid scene descriptions, magic, edge of your seat suspense, action, emotional moments, humor, life-threatening moments, fiery, passionate romance and a spectacular happy forever.
Finn and Grace met years ago as children in the country where exciting tales are told of pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. Grace was from America visiting her uncle. Though their time together as friends was short they never forgot each other. Now years later Grace is back in Ireland to claim the quaint cottage her uncle left her with his passing. Finn and Grace meet again and a whirlwind of memories and fantasy dreams through the years surface. They have a few hurdles to conquer before reaching there happy forever.
Fantastic fast-paced, well-written read with an intriguing storyline. Finn and Grace’s romance is convincing and their devotion shines. Grace is quite the heroine and Finn’s is a force as a hero. Finding this to be a terrific entertaining read, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-released copy via the author.
Once again, Anna Lowe astonishes me with her ability to weave a tale so epic, you can’t put it down. Her characters are vibrant, sassy, strong, and will have you wishing you were one of them. This series, although each episode is considered a stand-alone, is best read in sequence in order to get the most from them.
In this book, we have the great pleasure of getting to know Finn better, as well as meeting someone new. Someone who will play an integral part in securing the safety for the people of Ireland. Grace has been gifted a cottage in small town Ballyfianna, Ireland, by a great-great uncle. But her unknown heritage is so much more than she could have ever imagined. When she happens across her most cherished childhood friend, the only one she has longed for over the years, her life as she’s known it is about to change. Life in a sleepy little town is often not as it seems, as she’s about to learn.
Full of excitement, rekindling of friendships, new friends and a love like no other, this book will capture your heart from page one until the end. A beautifully told love story with intrigue and lore all wrapped up together. Definitely a story you won’t want to miss.
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
Grace and Finn get a second chance when she inherits a property in his childhood hometown. She visited once and they made quite the impression on one another. She discovers the supernatural world and gets a chance at real love.
I really liked them as a couple. They had great chemistry and a real respect for one another. They pulled together in dangerous times. The village has some interesting characters and I liked the mix of shifters.
It is a great series and I recommend you read them all.
I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.
Very well written and attention grabbing. They met when younger when she almost had an accident with a cliff. They bonded then and have never forgot each other. He is needed in the village where he and his family lives. She inherited a relatives cottage. You have excitement, danger, drama, emotional situations, intrigue, suspense and so much more. This is my favorite author and I know when I get one of her books it will be good. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Fire Maidens Rule…
I love that these stories are always different, following the same path but from totally different directions. Grace is a contradiction a music nerd who plays a harp and has a business degree, yet is strong enough to teach adults financial basics when she was a child. Finn has had wanderlust his whole life can anything make him want to plant roots especially in his tiny home town? This angsty shifter tale has all the feels and just enough action. Fire Maidens don’t have to be bad@ss to be leaders and protectors, or to give us a fun heartfelt read.
I really enjoyed reading this rather sweet dragon romance with an “adventurous” undertone. The plot is well-written & highly entertaining with well-developed characters that have interesting, strong personalities. There is good support from the secondary characters. I do not want to give too much away about the story but this book is definitely worth reading & can be read as a standalone
There is: a young woman (Grace Connolly) inherits a cottage in Ireland & once there she comes into contact with a rather secretive neighbor (Finn Hurley), action, adventure, fated mates various kinds of shifters, fire maidens, witches, warlocks, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, mystery, magic, secrets, devious plans, conspiracies, danger, threats, villainous traitors, treachery, violence, vulnerability, fear, attractions, destiny, discovery, surprises, love, happiness, laughter, some steamy scenes & a wonderful well-deserved conclusion.
I enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it.
As the fourth of seven brothers Finn Hurley has always felt forgotten and unimportant in his environment. A visit to his hometown puts him back on the path of the girl who long ago awoke in him emotions and feelings that had left him longing for what he had lost. Unknown to her, Grace Connelly has interesting and mysterious ancestors that together with her musical skills make her special, magical and coveted. Meeting Finn, again, opened her eyes to her heritance and the power she was holding. Liked Finn’s character, his attraction to Grace, his need to protect and his understanding of her situation. An interesting and entertaining story with action, suspense, mystery, magic, legends, evil ones, romance and passion
I enjoyed reading this book , it has a good storyline. The interaction and chemistry between the characters of Grace and Finn is great, this book is entertaining and action packed. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Love the Ireland setting; love the visuals the author created with her words! Love all the dragon and elk shifter fun and action! Loved the backstory of how Finn and Grace first connected; so sweet! Finn, a dragon shifter, and Grace, a non-shifter, were childhood friends, but haven’t seen each other in years. They’ve thought of each other through the years and are now finally back together when Grace and Finn both find themselves back in Ireland. Finn knows right away that Grace is his mate and Grace knows right away that there is a major connection between them, but things aren’t necessarily going to go smoothly.
I’ve loved this whole series so far! This one was a little slow moving for me and I didn’t quite connect with Grace, but the story is still entertaining and lots of fun. I think it may have been Grace’s reaction to certain things that rubbed me the wrong way; felt too ungrateful to me, but I did love the musical aspect to her character. Finn is a total nice guy; loved how supportive he is of Grace. They have a cute and passionate connection. There’s also a cool magical element going on that added some fun whimsy. Really looking forward to the next book in Scotland!
