Sydney flies to Wyoming for her brothers wedding Everything look like it was going great, she got bumped up to 1st class flirted a little with the guy behind the counter. But it all like the description says literally went downhill from there 1st her very pink and flowers based luggage was lost. She was so excited to see her brother Dean she forgot to use the restroom and Deans house was a good hour and a 1/2 till they reached his house and it was late at night so she had him pull over on the side of the road she tinkled but then tripped and fell down the hill with her pants around her ankles. This book so far has alot of laughs between characters but it seems like in side jokes and I’m not laughing. Sydney thought about all the times she visited over the past couple of years and the friend she made in the bartender Jared. Seemed like something good to look forward to seeing him again. But Dean and Jessica, Deans Fiancee other plans for her. Since the last time she visit her brother, Dean has disowned Jared as a friend so he was not invited to any of the wedding festivities. Although Jessica seemed to be talking about somebody named Travis with Sydney living in Orlando FL 2,300 miles away from Wyoming she did not want to start a relationship. She had a home, a job and her parents lived in Florida. She was a middle school teacher with big dreams of becoming vice principal in the next couple of years. At 27 her big brother was just looking out for her only wants her to be happy she had no person life hasn’t dated in last couple of years try 5 so Jessica Dean and Travis set up a little matchmaking so to speak. This is where I started laughing with the characters, some of the things that popped out of Sydney’s mouth were hilarious. At first Sydney wouldn’t hear of it then she met Travis all thoughts of Orlando flow out the window until it didn’t and memories would surface that she would have to be going back home and week. She was either kissing him, pushing him away or saying the most hilarious stuff. Jared shows up and shows his true colors forcing Sydney to the dance floor then laying a kiss on her, Travis didn’t respond to nicely knocking Jared to his butt, then an embarrassed and mad Sydney kneed him in the groin. Travis mistook the dreamy expression on her face, when actually she was thinking how wrong it felt not to be in Travis’s arms it was her ah ha moment his misjudged. Little did she know that week would turn her life upside down she and a boyfriend then a fiancee, headed back to Orlando. In the weeks that followed they communicated by phone and face time with Travis. She did not know everything about Travis he was super protective of his life. Not really knowing a whole lot about him but she loved him. Until the day of the accident everything was going great wedding planning was in full bloom Sydney was trying to find a job in Wyoming she was planning on moving there, then she gets the call somebody tried to kill Travis..
When she entered the hospital room she went into care giver mode. He was in acoma but she talked to him every day night and day.
Then things people were saying made her mad , one of the detective’s treated her poorly.
Then Jared showed up at the hospital?
People were coming to the same conclusion Travis was targeted.
Sydney would not leave the hospital to eat, in a weeks time she was losing weight and becoming emotional. Travis is at this point paralyzed from the waist down.
When they started to lessen Travis’s meds to wake him, things were looking up. Until all the secrets came out about Jessica and Travis? His ex girlfriend? A baby? He is super Rich? Evil aunt?
The information was given in between Sydney’s outburst of confusion and commentary. When they finally tell her the truth she just simply accepted the information not dwelling on the money thing, some of the lying to her from her brother were upsetting it was after all his idea to lie about Travis’s wealth and past. But when Dean and Jessica leave the room to give the couple some privacy Travis goes and puts his foot in his mouth and unintentionally insults Sydney and she storms out with the knowledge that their relationship is OVER. That was the last straw. This book has wonderful characters, witty commentary, sexy moments and deep emotional drama. Read the story this book has three sets of siblings, hmm. Who tried to kill Travis?

A well written story that held my interest from beginning to the end, it shows how you can depend on the people you love when you need them. I enjoyed reading Sydney Shaw and Travis Wainwright it kept me smiling as I read, but I also needed the Kleenex near by. This is a new Author to me and it looks like this is her debut book. Fantastic book, love the laughter in this entire book. So much teasing with siblings not to mention a very outspoken mom who just wants what’s best for her children. Lengthy book, but it was more than just a love story, it shows the character that someone you love will give you the strength to work through the tough times and still love you when your at your lowest and depressed. Wonderful and surprising ending that is well deserved.
