Bloodlust and insanity rule my existence. As a fierce drakoni warrior, this strange new world I find myself in eats at my mind until there is nothing left. There is no light or clarity…until she arrives. I save her life, plucking her from the sky. From that point on, she is mine. But the human I have chosen for my mate – Sasha – is fragile and wounded. She does not trust me and fears my presence. … fears my presence. I will not give up, though. I will do anything to give her my fires and bond us both in body and spirit. How can I convince her that I want nothing more than her happiness if she will not let me touch her?

Wow. There are so many reasons to love this book. Wonderful storytelling with a great hook. Likable characters. The story grabbed me from the beginning and wouldn’t let me go until I finished the book. It’s a dragon shifter story, but feels surprisingly realistic. For sure the post-apocalyptic elements are, and the way the characters act is realistic too. Just great writing and a great story.
My these dragons sure have taken me by surprise. I loved this story so much. Dakh way of always wanting to care for Sasha is endearing. As is his strong alpha male tendencies, can’t get enough of him.
Can’t wait to read Emma’s book.
I liked this but not as much as the first. Sasha was iffy for me. Sometimes I liked her and sometimes I thought she was a bit…I don’t know a bit spiteful I guess. She didn’t communicate with her friends, she didn’t communicate with her dragon and she didn’t do anything to understand from anyone else’s POV and she’s just kind of selfish. I realize though it’s a different world but she was iffy for me. The rest of the characters were great and I will definitely read the next one.
Fire in His Kiss by Ruby Dixon — This is on kindle unlimited. Sasha fell from the sky and was caught by a dragon fighting the demons in his own head. This series has some really fab world building and characters! Loving every minute! Happy Reading!
Fire in His Kiss (Fireblood Dragons #2) by Ruby Dixon is a post apocalyptic erotic romance story with dragon shifters. Each book in this series reveals a little bit more of the world of dragons and what happened when a rift tore open and let them through. I love the dragons they are very protective of their mates and will do almost anything for them unless it involves them being in any sort of trouble. The story picks up where the first book Fire in His Blood left off. Sasha has been taken by a dragon named Dakh. Sasha has problems with her past and worries it will affect her relationship with her dragon but Dahk doesn’t seem to be a far gone as the other dragons which makes communicating a little bit easier.
Meeting a drakoni warrior sure is not an easy accounter. Here on Earth their minds cannot stay sane. Nor do they posess the communication skills to talk to the humans they meet. Humans see them as evil creatures who are hellbent on destroying everything and everyone they know. So what happens when a dragon swoops down and grabs a woman who is falling through the air? What happens when he flies her to safety and watches over her? Can true love bloom in this post apocalyptic world?
There were so many moments in this book that just delighted me. I loved how excited Sasha was when she found tons of romance books that she could read. It did this book whore proud! I would have been over the moon as well! I couldn’t help but giggle when Dakh listened into her thoughts while Sasha was reading! But really the man, uh dragon, needed to learn how to woo his woman!
I loved how friendships and memories were such an integral part of this book. Truly they are such important things in all of our lives, that I loved seeing that reflected here. It is hard to move forward when you don’t have a firm grasp on your past and how you got to this point. And no matter how nice it is to sometimes hide ourselves away, in the end it is so key to have people (or dragons) on your side when you need a helping hand.
Fire in His Kiss was a captivating read. It was full of action, survival, friendship and let’s not forget how hot it was — Dakh’s kiss definitely has FIRE in it! I am eager to jump into the next Fireblood Dragon Romance!
I absolutely love the Fireblood Dragon series! Such fun books and each book leads to the next. I picked up one after another and could not get enough.
Texas Hugs and Happy Reading!!
You guys, how are there no reviews for these books yet? They are free on Kindle Unlimited and so much fun. I started with the third book and loved it so much I came back to read the first and second. Now I’m on book hang over and drumming my nails impatiently for the fourth. Everyone else is crying over GRR Martin and I’m over here pouting at Ruby Dixon.
This book is great. I loved Sasha and Dakh was adorable, his picnic was so funny. I loved the random things he came up with to try and woo his dear Sasha. I found the characters fun and relatable, even through Sasha’s whiny spells. I appreciated that we got to continue with more about Claudia and Kael, and that this one segweys nicely into Emma’s story. Super fun. I guess I’m off to check out the Ice Planet series.
