Just like Rapunzel from the fairy tales, dreamy, romantic Amy lives a hidden life. She’s kept locked away in a tower for her own safety, with her sister as protector. Amy knows it’s for her own good. If a dragon catches her scent, she’ll be carried away and forced to become a drakoni’s mate. But Amy has a secret – she desperately wants to be stolen. She would love to be rescued from her life of … life of idleness and the thought of a devoted drakoni male charging in and saving her from her boredom sounds perfect to her. Of course, she wants a romantic, loving male who will adore her.
What she gets is Rast.
He’s not kind. Not romantic. Definitely not gentle. But he is utterly and completely obsessed with Amy and he’ll stop at nothing to make the delicate female his.

Another great book in this dragon series. I like how consistent they are: the stories remain engaging from book to book, and I don’t feel like I’m reading the same characters over and over. Each H/h is unique. I didn’t care for Rast as much as I did the other dragon heroes in the other books, but that’s just a personal preference and is no reflection on the quality of the story. I loved heroine Amy’s development and growth, and the way she takes charge at the end. I also liked learning more about the dragon’s life before the Rift. Each book in the series is a standalone read; each couple gets their HEA and their story is complete, but there is an overall story arc building, so I recommend reading in order. For a dragon shifter romance, these books are surprisingly believable.
Fire in His Fury (Fireblood Dragons #4) by Ruby Dixon – Amy is tired of being locked in her ivory tower like Rapunzel, but Rast isn’t quite the knight in armor she envisioned. Good thing she has the makings of a general herself! Happy Reading!
Fire in His Fury (Fireblood Dragons #4) by Ruby Dixon is a sci fi romance story. This is the story of Rast and Amy in this post apocalyptic dragon series. The series is about dragons that came through a rift in the sky. When they descended on earth something made them crazy and they destroyed the world, with only a few humans left alive to rebuild a life. Ruby took us on a few unexpected turns and a few interesting twists.
My absolute favorite book by Ruby Dixon. She does alien/post-apocalyptic romances like no one else!
I love fireblood dragons! I just gobbled this story up. It is refreshing. It has all the things I love dystopian, dragons and romance. I highly recommend and can’t wait for the next one.
Ahhhh I just ate this one up… kinda like the dragons gobble up food 😉 I loved the characters in this one so much! I love the transformation in Amy. She is seen as so weak because her leg was injured and she had trouble getting around. Then she mates with a dragon and begins to see herself as he sees her. As strong. As someone who has a lot to offer. And we watch her self-confidence grow. We watch her step out of her comfort zone and become the woman she was meant to be. Rast is fierce, scary, uber protective, jealous and only has eyes for Amy. He remembers a lot from his past and because of these memories he feels he is not a good person. But he is sweet and gentle and loving and romantic with Amy. And you can see he is truly a good person… errrrr dragon.
I can’t wait to see what is in store next for our Fireblood Dragons!
Amy and Rast make such a wonderful couple. He’s the muscle and will that she needs and she’s the kindness and love that he needs. They balance each other so well and I adored their story.
This series just keeps getting better, I can’t wait to see what else is in store for the dragons and their mates.
This book was well written and has a HEA.
The H and h were well explored. . I have not read the books that preceded this one and that would have been helpful. But it is still a standalone book.
Story 4/5
Steam 5/5
Narration 5/5
Overall 4.5/5
I absolutely love the Fireblood Dragon series! Such fun books and each book leads to the next. I picked up one after another and could not get enough.
Texas Hugs and Happy Reading!!
I just love this series and I get so freaking excited when a new book releases.
I will admit, I was a little hesitant about Amy at first because she was a little too damsel in distress for my liking but she totally got over that and got her confidence and strength with time.
Rast was very different from the other dragons but not in a bad way. As soon as the bond formed between him and Amy and his mind cleared he remembered a lot more than the others and had a lot of clear memories. That’s not always a good thing either.
He and Amy really become one but at the same time they are perfect partners. He doesn’t think she is weak because of her leg and she understands what he’s going through with his memories and is always there for him with quiet strength and support.
As always with Ruby Dixon books she had plenty of action, suspense, adventure, alpha males, and HOT SEX! Loved this book and I can’t wait to find out who will be in the next book.
Couldn’t put this book down and didn’t get any work done today once I saw it was available for download (SSHHH! hehehe) This is another great addition to this series, at least in my opinion. Of course, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea but if you have been reading and follow this series, it doesn’t disappoint. I like that in this book, the main bonding scene was told from the hero’s point of view. Mainly, it is written from the heroine’s point of view. A little different but a nice one nevertheless. I was hoping that this book will go into some more detail regarding the queen of the draconi’s but it doesn’t. There is some more information about the draconi and salorians relationship but not enough to answer all the questions from the previous book. There are more mysteries to solve though so I hope this series continues for a little while longer (fingers crossed)!
