All Olivia Lawton needs to do is buy a property for a new client, and she’s on her way to the biggest payday of her life. It should be easy—after all, she’s the top real-estate agent in Plymouth Falls. But when the same gorgeous stranger that’s been flirting with her all night turns out to have bought it first, she decides it’s game on. Now, all she needs to do is find a way to convince him to … sell…
Aaric Drakon is the first dragon to be awakened after a century of deep sleep. Unsure why he’s chosen, he’s desperate to help awaken more of his kin. If he wants to do that, though, Aaric needs a mate. In an effort to find her, he sets himself a mission to open an Outreach Center for his family, in hopes of getting to know the new generation of humans he will protect, but also to find her. And he’s not going to be distracted by anyone, not even by a feisty real-estate agent who’ll try anything to buy his land.
At first it’s nothing but a challenge for Olivia. She will have this property and the big payout coming her way. The only problem is, Olivia’s new partner is proving less than understanding in a terrifying way. When things escalate to a new level, her only hope is to go to Aaric and tell him everything. But it turns out she’s been swept up in a conflict centuries in the making, and that’s just what his enemies intended…

It is an excellent short read.
Entertaining. A enemy to lovers romance. I think the ending was a bit weird how they eventually said they loved each other. But still enjoyed the book.
I gave this one 3 stars because it had a decent storyline. I liked the story and the strong characters. It really could have been more developed though, and been even better.
an amazing read
Great read
Enjoyed the book!
I had a problem likely Olivia.
Fascinating book, enjoyed being taken to “another reality”! Enjoy shifter books, so creative and innovative! Really likes this book and characters
Would read again
Love dragon romance stories which are well written.
Great read
Great book
My Likes and Dislikes
The prologue of Fire Dragon’s Bride by Riley Storm pulled me in and the first chapter was okay. Then this read spiraled downward with just a few bright moments to keep it afloat.
At first, I was not liking either the hero or the heroine, but later they were both more tolerable. However, I did like the supporting characters.
I did like the story, but as I suspected, this is not a stand-alone read. The over-arching danger is not resolved in this book.
The writing (descriptions, dialogue, internal thoughts, storytelling, etc.) was pretty good and somewhat easy to read. The story is what saved this from a one star review.
Based on the cover alone, I expected some sex. That said, the sex was very explicit and over whelmed the story.
Lastly, the extreme amount of vulgarities (44 F-bombs plus all other forms of swearing) did nothing for the plot, and did not compliment the author’s writing skills.
I’m not inclined to read any more of this author’s works.
It was a great read. Loved the female character. She’s spunky. The male was a bit dense but eventually he came around.
A wild ride into a fantasy world of shape shifters that brings their world into reality. Wait until the teaser ending.
This book had such great potential. The male character, the dragon, was spot on, but the female character was a shrew. I didn’t want her to end up with the nice dragon at all. The sex scenes, and there were plenty, seemed to lack finesse, instead going for crude language. There really was a great story line here but it just didn’t deliver at all.
Sometimes they have trouble seeing that their mate is right in front of them. When they do see, it can be funny. Very good story. The author has the words to make you feel all that Aaric is going through. With his friends death and then the weight of what all he has to do. Very well done.
I love that the dragons are back! Aaric Drakon has been awoken after a hundred years asleep. Evil is coming to Plymouth Falls and the other Houses will need the dragons. He must carry on after the death of his beloved mentor and feels helpless, until he meets Olivia. She needs to buy the property that Aaric now owns, he life depends on it. This is a case of rivals turned lovers, and mates. When the evil that is coming tot town is the same evil that is threatening Olivia, Aaric will tear the town apart to save her. I can’t wait to see what happens whey they appear at the coronation at House Canis, and when he lets the other Houses know what is coming for them all!
