Blaise needs a woman to get him out of the past
Blaise can’t understand how much his dragon brothers have changed since meeting their mates. He was raised very differently and led to believe that men don’t bow down to a woman. So it was really fun and yet heartbreaking when Blaise comes face to face with his mate, who is ever more strong-willed than he is.
Chyna was a character that I liked overall but yet I got frustrated during certain scenes. I felt bad for the way that she treated Blaise after she realized how he felt about her and how mates worked. Towards the end of the book, it is explained why but up until then she was getting on my nerves. I wish this had been explained earlier in the book.
I look forward to reading more in this series.
Blaise – bayou bad boy?
Well, here’s another hot time in the steamy swamp. Dragon shifter Blaise meets the mate he never thought to have – and nearly messes up big time before he gets his head on straight and the lady in his arms. Dragon moonshine and well-meaning bad advice from the brother dragons notwithstanding, he finally learns to paddle his own pirogue to happiness.
arc review For honest review chyna is feeling like everyone is finding relations in her life but she’s still a virgin so she sets out to have a one night stand only to find her mate but she afraid . Awesome story of find that sometimes love is supposed to be scary.
I adore dragon shifters and this dominating, sexy, witty, charming and engaging hero is no exception… Really enjoyed this action packed and emotionally thrilling romantic adventure that had me laughing and crying it was so fun to read.
Keeps getting better and better with each one
Chyna, an agricultural professor, goes out to find a man for a night. Blaise, a dragon shifter, goes out that same night to find a forever mate. Little did they both know that reality was different than their wants. As the story progresses their pasts form perceptions of what they believe to be true, a dangerous situation occurs that brings the issue to a head and to get a happily ever after they must both make changes to their thinking and learn to be who they are versus who they think they should be. Candace Ayers’ Dragon’s of the Bayou series keeps getting better and better with each one. With emotional growth, steamy instant connections and realistic relationship issues; you can’t go wrong reading this book.
I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Blaise is an old-world dragon and not familiar with cleaning or cooking and is looking for his mate. Chyna is lonely now that her sister, Cherry, is mated to Cezar. So Chyna decides to look for fun and she finds the dragons at a bar. When Chyna leaves with Blaise she is expecting just one night of fun, but what she gets is a whole lot more. The description of the Louisiana bayou is realistic and believable. I laughed at the description of Blaise’s castle, because I could see everything described. One of my favorite parts is when Blaise accidentally sets the cooking school on fire. Or when Cherry broadcasts Chyna’s interest in Blaise to all the dragons. That is so funny. I did not like how Chyna used Blaise and then was mean to him. I found her selfish and rude until he puts his foot down. I can’t wait for Blaise’s brother, Remy’s, story. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
I thought this book was delightful. It has a fun storyline that is balanced out with plenty of heart. I loved Blaise and Chyna’s book. Both these characters were complex and had baggage that weighed heavily on them emotionally and on their blossoming relationship. They were a study in contrast with how they tried to deal with this. Chyna was fierce and quite often came across as unkind or even simply mean. This did make her come across a very unlikable at times and although you knew it was just her way of protecting herself, it didn’t ease the pain that she inflicted upon Blaise. Blaise went in the other direction and tried to overcompensate by trying too hard. In the end I was very happy to see these two wounded characters find love and get the HEA they both deserved.
This story is both fun and intense a great read!
This the third book in Candace’s series Dragons of the Bayou. The world building and characters cohesively came together and made sense. How can a bossy domineering thousand year old dragon shifter learn to be a excellent mate? Cooking and cleaning classes! Blaise came from the most backward kingdoms in the old word and from a domineering inflexible father. He knows two things he wants a mate and he wants Chyna as that mate. Chyna, Cherry’s twin sister (from Cezar’s book), doesn’t know how to do love or permanent relationships. Who would if you were dropped off in a orphanage and spent your whole childhood being shuffled around from foster home to foster home. The only constant love in her life was her sister. But Blaise is an alpha male with a heart! All he wants to do is take care of his mate. So he decides to learn how to cook and clean! There are some really funny scenes and some intense and salacious scenes between these two! Loved this book! Can’t wait for Remy (Blaise’s twin brother) and Armand to get their mates!
He needs a mate. He goes out to a bar to meet his twin brother and friend. As he walks up to the table where she is talking to his brother and friend it stops him in his tracks that she is his mate. She is the twin of Cezar’s mate. She has also been abused up to then. He had a horrible life too. But he doesn’t know how to keep house or cook and looks like a slob. She keeps pushing him away. It is funny, suspenseful, emotional, dramatic and so much more. I highly recommend it.
CAPTIVATING DELIGHT!!!
Man, I have to say this is one interesting tale. You have a fast paced, action packed, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention and holds steady till the last word. The characters are realistic, well developed and believable with just enough flaws to relate with. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The scenes are so graphic and descriptive it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. The twists and turns, ups and downs, along with unexpected circumstances that make for one incredible experience. Throw in all the suspense and danger along with uncertainty and fear you have yourself one wild ride. Candace did a remarkable job bringing this read together beautifully. Thanks Candace for sharing this awesome read with us.
