Entertaining and Insightful
“They take everything I’ve ever said and exaggerate it.
It’s all exaggerated.
My exaggerations are exaggerated”
At every one of my corporate jobs, we’ve participated in an exercise where the entire department takes a personality assessment like the Meyers Briggs or Strengths Finder. As a team we are tasked with utilizing the insight these tools provide in order to frame our perceptions of and interactions with those working with us. For example, expect KN to be fair but rigid, and BW to want to give everyone a chance, even if it slows things down. The message: We all bring different quirks to the table, so find a way to deal with them effectively.
I have found Fire and Fury to be similarly insightful. Is this a solid piece of investigative writing? Hardly. This reads as something slapped together faster than an obituary for a young and healthy celebrity. But does it help us frame the motivations and seemingly random actions of our chaotic (“wild as shit”) White House? Without a doubt, if you accept the emailed declaration that “Trump is less a person than a collection of terrible traits”. In the author’s opinion, this personality analysis provides the puzzle piece that fits. It’s almost comforting to realize the “post-literate” DJT is not malicious, though his long parade of handlers may certainly be. He’s merely a caricature: narcissistic, childish and selfish.
And with this insight it all seems to make sense, in a “you have cancer but it’s not terminal” kind of acceptance. There’s a tough road ahead, but you *can* live with it.
Wrote like a National Enqiour,no evidence from a phony writer, already who has been caught in lies in past reports. This is his mindless dribble. Not worth buying after all the hype. Just made Americans duped into making Wolfee rich.
Its a really long Drumpf tweet. The president is an idiot on terrifying levels but we knew that already. This books isn’t worth it.
