“Essential reading.”—Michael D’Antonio, author of Never Enough: Donald Trump and the Pursuit of Success, CNN.com
“Not since Harry Potter has a new book caught fire in this way…[Fire and Fury] is indeed a significant achievement, which deserves much of the attention it has received.”—The Economist

Inaccurate. Poorly written.
I read this book and it was interesting, but not sure how much to believe. Did the author tell the truth or embellish it? Something to ponder…
Not worth the money!
This seems to be a work of mainly fiction, written to increase author’s name recognition.
Scary indeed, if even half of it is authentic!
You get my drift? Really one of the best books about DT’s years.
I do HATE that man !!!!!!
Informative
Fire and Fury is bananas, as in if even 50% of what Michael has written is true, Americans are doomed. Michael has an engaging writing style, and you’re riveted to the page because it’s a massive trainwreck. Most of what he exposes isn’t surprising if you’ve been aware of the first 200 days of the Trump presidency. It’s obvious Steve Bannon was Michael’s big source, and he treats Steve in a complimentary manner, even for those who think Bannon is WTF crazy in his thinking, actions, and why his support in making Trump president. We’re a fly on the wall as Michael brings us along this wackadoo journey that will leave you stunned.
The one big surprise in reading Fire and Fury was the Roger Ailes was the voice of reason. Ailes was the reason Fox News started, and was very involved in shaping GOP politics, and even if you think he was the devil, he does have great insight. He foreshadows the Trump presidency in the first few chapters and warns everyone, mainly Bannon to be very careful in backing Trump. Up until Ailes’ death, he was very vocal about Trump and how unfortunate him bring president could be the US. Michael treats Ailes with respect, and surprisingly when he talks about the others involved in the Trump presidency, it doesn’t come across as a bias view. It does have a newspaper article feel, or at times a tabloid gossip reveal that the reader can’t believe. But the reason this book is entertaining is because you get in the middle of everything and the reaction of the players Michael mentions throughout, most of which are well known, especially if you’ve been following the Trump precedence.
I was appalled, sickened and sad because this books shows a joke that is cruel and nasty. It’s right out of a Twilight Zone episode that I don’t even think Rod Sterling could have written. It shows unprofessionalism to the max, and the idea, which is very believable that Trump and all those who helped with the presidency, perhaps beside Bannon, who has his own ulterior motives, didn’t want Trump to win (including the man himself). The horror on these pages leaves you laughing and rolling your eyes, but after you feel sick to your stomach because you know everything going on is like something out of a horror movie.
Fire and Fury gave me the chills and left me with despair. Remember when it was reported former President Bush Jr said, “that’s some crazy shit” during Trump inauguration? Well, that statement is the perfect description for Fire and Fury and what the Trump administration is currently is, and what it’s future might be.
After reading, I thought, Abandon all ye hope, we’re beyond f*cked. Michael proves this with each situation revealed and all those who brought this sideshow horror to life.
Gives you a true idea of how unstable Trump is. He has some good ideas but can never finish them.
I purchased the audiobook, but did not finish it. I found the story too slow and boring. The information on how the inside of the whitehouse worked and the political situation interesting, but I prefer crime/mystery books.
If only 10% of what is written is true, then it’s a terrifying outlook for our country. And, unfortunately, I suspect that it is much higher than 10%, but the reader can decide for themselves. In any case, it’s an eye-opening into the life inside the White House.
True yet, it is so outrageous that it couldn’t be a movie script!
Spot on and topical
Scary look at the Trump White House and its disorganization. Anyone who prizes democracy should read this before they vote in the next presidential election
Thought it was great. Believed every word. We are in trouble.
Not nearly as lurid as advertised. True, it is really scary knowing what is going on in the White House on a daily basis, but with little effort you could have figured most of this out on your own. It’s a shame that when you google “dysfunctional” you get a picture of the White House.
Here’s my take. . . if you believe that Trump is a great President you won’t like or believe this book, if you think that Trump is in over his head this book will reconfirm this. This book took a bit of time to digest. For the most part this book wasn’t surprising as it confirmed some things that I had already learned. On the other hand some snippets were completely new to me. Now that there is some time between reading the book and reviewing the book I am finding that the book rings true as more and more comes out about this White House and how the drama that swirls around it is being handled. People named in this book keep coming up in the news and so far doesn’t negate anything in the book.
Insightful peek into the chaos occurring in every corner of the current Administration’s White House. Leaves the reader with more questions than answers, but certainly paints a thought provoking picture of the Commander-in-Chief and his “watch your back” atmosphere in and out of the West Wing. Satisfying reading about the unsettling questions behind Trump’s ability to run the country and his questionable mental status.
Thank you for this inside edition into the Trump disaster.
