— Who is really directing the Trump administration’s strategy in the wake of Bannon’s firing
— What the secret to communicating with Trump is
— What the Trump administration has in common with the movie The Producers

“Essential reading.”—Michael D’Antonio, author of Never Enough: Donald Trump and the Pursuit of Success, CNN.com
“Not since Harry Potter has a new book caught fire in this way…[Fire and Fury] is indeed a significant achievement, which deserves much of the attention it has received.”—The Economist

Going in, I knew to be wary of this book. I’d read that the author had a somewhat problematic history with journalistic integrity, and there were plenty of misgivings in the media about the validity of his account. But spending a year in the Trump White House with almost completely unfettered access to the goings-on of the administration is a compelling premise, and I’m glad I gave this book a chance. While I would not recommend taking Wolff’s account as gospel (sources are not always clearly traced throughout the book and it’s often unclear how much is fact drawn from direct observation and how much is speculation based on various after-the-fact accounts), I do think this book is worth reading. Wolff, for all his sensationalism, writes intelligently, accessibly, and, most importantly, largely unbiasedly. His familiarity with and proximity to the administration is obvious, and he traces the timeline of the Bannon-influenced White House in a way that manages to illuminate the personalities and motivations behind the president and his closest advisors – again, not as a point of unarguable truth, but as another source of information that sheds light on and adds color to a White House unlike any other before it.
What’s that, Hair Twitler? You wanted this book to be effectively banned? LOLOLOLOLOL
Really, it wasn’t that great – rambling writing and didn’t really say anything we all didn’t already know – but I will do pretty much anything, including read this book, to support the first amendment and cause the ManBaby to meltdown and soil his Depends.
Mostly not new, but the completely tragic era of Trump summarized in one spot
Must read for every American.
Everyone should read this book, which reveals the complete dysfunction of the Trump white house. The author does not seem to have a political agenda, but presents a surprisingly objective account. It was hard to put down.
While there has been much said about the veracity of any number of things in this book, I couldn’t help but think that largely it was an accurate portrayal of our white house during this period.
The book was a quick read and it further cemented my views of our current leadership from the executive branch of the government. I don’t believe it was intended to trash the President particularly.
People can take what they have read of the President’s tweets, news accounts, and other books and see that they all pretty much align I’m afraid.
Good book for insight into the machinations of the current white house.
Feb 2018. We see via the news (aka fake or factual news depending on ones’ perspective and need) that there is a daily crisis in our White House and that all is Not OK in Oz regardless of how you hear it. This book is sometimes NY Times article, sometimes Washington Press office release, sometimes Trump Tweet Quote, often fly-on-the-wall, second hand or overheard reporting and gossip rag. It’s a jaw-dropping hoot, but it shouldn’t be and you catch yourself laughing until you nervously don’t feel safe anymore. But then, as Sean Spicer says: “you can’t make this **** up”. Wolff offers an introduction that explains his reporting narrative style. It is believable. It isn’t the easiest read because of often convoluted run on sentences. Having lived in NYC during Trump’s notorious reign with slumlord lawsuits and bankruptcies, I think Wolff fleshes out much of the rest of The Donald’s history. It’s a disturbing look into the psyche of DJT and his band of ? (). Unsettling.
An interesting and entertaining look into what is going on at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Wolff’s book was the first tell all about Donald Trump’s unhinged behavior as president. After four exhausting years it is one of many such books but still worth a read.
This is the 1st book I read by Michael Wolff. I’m not really into reading about politics but I was curious about what was the big deal. Some of the facts I heard on the news but a lot of the facts I didn’t know. Now I see what like hype is. Thank you Mr. Wolff for writing this book I’m glad I read it.
Interesting read but I would have preferred more ‘named’ sources for legitimacy.
This is too much like reading the Washington Post or New York Times; So it must be rather accurate. Another take on it is that this represents more evidence of the miss management of our government.

Most of what the author included in his book, I had already read in the New York Times Newspaper or heard on national news broadcasts. I was disappointed.
Sad scary stuff about our “pretend” little boy president.
By the time this book came out, we already knew most of what had happened up to that point. There was very little new information.
Trashy political gossip for the junkie. A guilty pleasure if you abhor the president.
Too many “facts” are proven to be otherwise.
Disappointed. We already had an idea how Trump acted. Disappointed
Ivanka and Jared are definitely villains
