New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Melody Anne begins a sizzling and heartfelt series about Joseph Anderson’s long-lost nephews.
Finn Anderson is a loyal military veteran who has no desire to live a life of luxury and ease, but sometimes a person doesn’t get a choice. His life is flipped upside down when he and his four brothers learn they’re long-lost relatives of the absurdly … relatives of the absurdly famous and wealthy Joseph Anderson. The eccentric but generous billionaire puts the brothers to work building a new veterans center, and that’s not all: Joseph won’t stop until each nephew finds love.
Finn has never expected or wanted an easy life, and he struggles with his early retirement from the elite SEAL team. But when a very confident Brooke Garrison literally sweeps him off his feet during a self-defense class he’s teaching, he thinks less about his past and more about a brand-new future.
If Finn knows anything for certain, it’s that he can’t let this woman get away. Though Brooke is tough and compassionate, the loss of her brother has left her vulnerable. She isn’t sure she can risk loving and losing another person in her life, including a very determined ex-SEAL. Can the two of them look beyond their past wounds and embrace what they’re feeling?

Loved this, a fast paced Romantic Journey
It was so good to read an Anderson Romance and these long lost Anderson brothers (cousins really) all sound drool worthy. Joseph is in his element once again, blazing forward with more good deeds and if love happens along the way, well, that’s just bonus and he won’t admit to a thing lol.
This one is Finn and Brooke’s journey and she did not make it easy for him at all. Both of them fraught with emotional wounds old and new, scared of moving forward, of loving and losing again, Brooke was an emotional mess, and wanted to ignore Finn. Well Finn was in love from the first minute he met Brooke, and he just kept pushing forward little by little, seemingly knowing exactly what Brooke needed and how much she could handle. He was fantastic! Every woman’s fantasy man, in touch with his own feelings, not afraid to own those feelings either, just doting on her, yet challenging her and it was beautiful to feel it all as I read right along on all their non dates lol.
There’s drama, life threatening it is, which just adds another layer here, and shows what family is really all about, and it’s not necessarily blood that makes that happen.
We are introduced to Finn’s three brothers and Brooke’s two best friends since forever, I can hardly wait for more from these Andersons!
Oh, surprise of surprises, one of my favorite tropes and it’s a doubly good sigh worthy HEA!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC thru #Netgalley and am giving my honest thoughts and opinions on #Finn by #MelodyAnne
The Andersons! Oh, how I love them! They were the first family I fell in love with when I got my first kindle and I continue to love them and am so glad to see them back!
Imagine growing up without much except a Mom that loved you more than life itself, but with a dad that was beyond atrocious. Now imagine suddenly being on your own with younger brothers that you feel responsible for raising. You do that and do it well. Everyone is successful and doing well. But love has never been in the cards for you until . . .
You discover you are an Anderson! Yes, those Andersons. The filthy rich, meddling, close knit family that believes in the power of love! Now you don’t want to trust or believe, but then she comes along. You know that woman that makes you believe in things you never thought possible. That woman that makes you take in that second, third and fourth breath.
Joseph (yes, that one, the patriarch of the meddling family) discovered you don’t have much faith in family, but you do believe in love, decides to school you in both family and love.
Finn and Brooke are so much fun. He decides she’s the one after the first meeting and she decides she isn’t having it. Well, maybe the sex part but not the love part. What transpires is what makes us love the Andersons.
Sometimes you can go home again, and this was going home!
Finn is Book One in Melody Anne’s newest series and the first story I’ve read by this author. Even though it’s obvious this is a spin-off series, I was able to jump in easy enough and look forward to catching up with past Anderson stories.
Even though both Brooke and Finn were recovering from the death of a loved one, it was a fairly light, easy read with a dash of steam! Brooke was an independent, no-nonsense kind of woman who “literally” knocked Finn off his feet. Finn was a bit cockier than I normally like in a hero but I enjoyed watching him pull out all the stops to win Brooke.
I look forward to reading more about the Andersons.
ARC for honest review with no compensation
Finn is book 1 in the new Anderson Billionaires series by Melody Anne and so enjoy seeing Joseph Anderson back in the saddle matchmaking again!! Another branch of the Andersons has been found and like the other Anderson series we reunite family and find love!!
Finn Anderson, former military and oldest of 5 siblings learn they are part of the famous and very wealthy Anderson family and as we know Joseph wants his family reunited and will do whatever is necessary to make that happen…so…he decides to build a veterans center and include Finn and his brothers in making this happen but…also matchmaking to find that one person each man will fall in love with…
Brooke Garrison, petite, former military, still coming to grips with the death of her brother, teaching self defense classes to women, feels vulnerable and isn’t sure she can risk loving and losing another person if she opens her heart again.
Can these two find a way to let the past heal them and move forward to a HEA or will the past keep them in forever in the past with no future??
Finn finds out that he is related to the billionaire Joseph Anderson and gets an inheritance a special project to be completed by him and his brothers. They move to build a veteran’s place in a small town and once there he meets Brooke, a woman who literally knocks him off of his feet. He knows she’s the one but she’s ignoring and dismissing him, it will take all his charm and persistence to woo her over.
A great read with steam and a man who doesn’t give up, no matter what, to win the heart of a woman who he falls in love with at first sight. There were times when the book dragged a bit for me but otherwise it was a great read. I liked these two and how he ends up breaking her walls, showing her there is more to him than meets the eye and taking her on epic dates. I liked Brooke, strong and independent and once she finally lets down her walls, she’s all in and doesn’t make excuses or runs away…loved it.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and engaging romantic journey filled with exciting charters, fun witty banter, emotional twists and undeniable passion…… was a great read from beginning to end. Loving this group of brothers and their new found turn in life. Loved it!
Finn turned out to be an OK read for me, I truly wanted to love this one. Families in books tend to be my favorites because that means more stories and there’s usually plenty of awesome banter between the family members. I normally don’t mind an insta-love, but I think it happened way too quick for Finn. And just his whole notion of how he quickly fell in love with her before they were technically together.
To me, Brooke was more realistic about everything. At times I didn’t quite understand her hang-ups about being with someone since Finn showed her many times how much he ultimately cared for her. Despite his insta-love madness, his genuine character is what I liked the most about him.
The military veteran project; I was dying to know more about that and was hoping for a more emotional connection with it. I did like that Melody shared Brooke and Finn’s story about their military life.
I really wanted to love this one, but it didn’t quite work for me. However, Melody sets up the story for the next book, which I definitely looking forward to reading.
**I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY READER’S COPY FROM THE PUBLISHER. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR CONTENT OF MY REVIEW**
The Anderson’s are back!! I’t a little silly how excited I was to read this book. The first book I read by Melody Anne began with the introduction of Joseph Anderson just like Finn’s book, but now Joseph is bringing some of his extended family on line in the form of Finn and his brothers. I love it!!
Finn and Brook’s story was everything I hoped it would be and more. The Anderson books have always had a strong family feel and this one continued with that, but it also had some spice to it (sexy wild spice)
I have read all the previous books in Melody’s Billionaire series about the Anderson family, this one is the start of a new set of stories about a newly found branch of the Anderson family who suddenly find themselves billionaires.
Finn is a war veteran who was injured and now has to make himself a new life at home. Brooke is a nurse practitioner in the same small town who is still grieving the loss of her brother. As soon as they meet sparks fly between them. Finn knows that Brooke is the woman he is going to marry. Although Brooke finds herself attracted to him she is not sure that she is ready for more.
In this story Finn is, determined to get the girl no matter what, even if it means that he has to go to great lengths to win her, while Brooke is fighting her attraction to him every inch of the way. While the love story is playing out, Finn and his brothers are trying to wrap their heads around suddenly being wealthy and part of a large family. Finn’s biggest problem is accepting what family Patriarch is offering him, namely wealth and a future as he has always had to work for everything before.
It was a great start to a new series, though I did think that the love story it dragged on a little in the middle where it seemed that there was lots of hot sex going on and feelings being shared but Brooke’s refusal to admit that her future lay with Finn got a bit annoying. Luckily there was some drama to brighten things up.
It is worth the read to get yourself acquainted with this branch of the family as there are sure to be more stories about these five brothers.
I’m so excited to start this new Anderson Billionaires series. I love that we still get Joseph Anderson and the whole family. Now we get to meet Finn and his brothers. Each I’m sure, are going to steal your heart just as much as Finn does in this one. I love Finn. He is strong and persistent. He is amazing with his brothers that will leave you smiling and laughing out loud. Brooke, she is incredible. I love how she is with Finn. She is strong, independent and knows how to put Finn in his place. You can feel the sparks flying between them. You will love Brooke so much and see how good she is for Finn. I loved every moment of this one and so can’t wait to watch more Andersons fall.
Basically entertaining book, writing style didn’t always work for me
This author has been on my radar for a while now, so when I saw this was the first book in a new series, I thought it would be a great time to give her a try. Note this is a spinoff from at least one earlier series about the Anderson clan (Billionaire Bachelors), and there are a couple of drop ins by characters from earlier books (besides Joseph Anderson himself) that fans will probably appreciate.
This is an easy read, relatively light and funny—I especially enjoyed Finn’s banter with his siblings, and Brooke’s back and forth with her friends. Military (or ex-military) guys are some of my favorites heroes, so I was on Finn’s side from the start. As for Brooke, I liked her independence and sense of adventure, and if I thought she was a little stubborn when it came to Finn, I have to admit it’s a fault I suffer from as well, lol. I like that they have a lot in common: they both served in the military, both had abusive fathers, both have recently lost someone they loved very much. Finn was a little arrogant for my taste which I normally don’t mind, but while I admired his determination and persistence, it also made me a little uncomfortable at one point as Brooke keeps telling him she’s not interested and he continues to pursue her. It’s one of those things that a lot of people will find romantic but did start to cross over the line into creepy stalker territory for me.
As for the story itself, while I loved the setup, early on I was missing a real connection to the characters, and there wasn’t much depth of emotion. When Finn was telling the story of his last mission to Brooke, for example, I just didn’t feel it. While I can see a character might need to disconnect from his emotions in order to speak about something like that, I didn’t get the sense that was happening either. I was surprised that an author as popular as this, and with as many books in her backlist, didn’t have a smoother writing style (scene and chapter transitions felt awkward or were non-existent, dialogue didn’t really flow, there was a level of detail missing such as medical information in a couple of sequences), and the writing just didn’t draw me in as well as I would have liked. At about 30%, either I adjusted or things improved, and the last third especially I was much more into the book.
At the end of the day, this is a basically entertaining book that may have suffered in comparison to two of my most recent reads, both superlative books that are going to end up on my “Best of 2019” list. While I did truly like the setup, mix of characters, and touches of humor, this author’s writing style just didn’t always work for me. 3 stars.

Just when I think I’ve gotten out those Andersons reel me right back in. Impossible to ignore, hard to forget and always a delightful way to escape. Melody Anne is always introducing heartwarming stories into an unstoppable family. Love and family are something no heart can every grow tired of. Anne and her Anderson brood serves as a constant reminder that in a world full of heartbreak, love always finds a way to win. Finn is a MUST.
Finn is the gentleman your mama warned you about! A story about two people that come from similar backgrounds, suffering from their own losses. Overall it was a cute story, especially with both of them overcoming their past and learning to live life again. Not one of my favorites from the author, but I’m looking forward to seeing future stories in this series!
So happy and excited that Melody has decided to continue with the Anderson series! After a difficult childhood that made him jaded and weary, Finn finds out that he is related to the infamous Anderson family and his life is changed forever thanks to Joseph’s continued meddling. Giving Finn and each of his brothers a project much like he gave the rest of his family, they all arrive in the town that Brooke lives in and start their projects that while they enjoy are reserved about. When Brooke and Finn meet in a comical fashion, Finn’s life is changed from that first meeting and from then on decides she is the one who he will spend the rest of his life with. Brooke on the other hand is the complete opposite and jaded from the life she has lived and the circumstances within her life in addition to the recent death of her brother. As Finn continues to peruse Brooke, she is adamant to not fall for his charms and become vulnerable within a relationship, but he is determined to not take no for an answer. While the premise of Finn and his determination to be with Brooke was a bit unconventional, I always enjoy Melody’s storylines and writing and this book was no exception. Can’t wait for the rest of the stories in this series as we get to know the other brothers!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Finn is the oldest of five brothers and has always been the one to look out for his younger siblings when their mother dies a secret comes out Their father was a member of the Anderson family and now Joseph Anderson and his wife have a proposition for the five boys. He wants them to work together to build a veteran centre he knows that the men aren’t used to having family and are baulking at it especially Finn as the eldest but he will give them all the time they need to adjust. Meanwhile Finn meets Brook Garrison she is a Army whose brother was recently killed while in the military The moment Finn sees her he wants her and will do anything he has (pretending to be injured Really) Will she give him a chance or will she keep the walls around her heart You will have to read to see. As always it is Joseph and his interactions with his family that steals the show
3.5 stars
This is a sweet military romance of insta-love and persistence to claim and hold on to that love. Finn and Brooke were both incredibly lovable and endearing characters.
Finn was instantly smitten with Brooke from the moment she took him down. Her independence and strength only intensifies his feelings for her. But a Brooke has only known love from one person in her life and now that he’s gone, she’s not eager to open herself up for that and risk losing it.
Im not sure if it was my frame of mind at the time I read this, but I had a hard time focusing on their story. No matter how many times I picked it up I found my mind wandering. My only issues was the speed of their story. It was just too slow to keep me engaged. Aside from that, I truly adored Finn and and Brooke. They were wonderfully relatable characters. It was just their story that felt drawn out.
Finn as the older brother looks out for all his brothers and is very leery of Joseph Anderson. He has a hard time letting go of that feeling of “things are just too good to be true”.
I loved how Joseph knew when to approach Finn and when to back off. The project that Joseph recruited the Anderson brother’s for not only seemed tailor made for each of them it also had special meaning to Joseph and his wife. Which in turn pulls them all in closer as a family.
Brooke, the town doctor, meets Finn during his self defense class. He knows instantly that she’s the one for him. She recently lost his brother and has no interest in dating. He’s doing his best to change her mind. I love Brooke and Finn together.
This is a wonderful start to a new series.
Oh how I love the Anderson family and this new branch included. I think each one is my favorite until the next one comes along. Joseph once again uses his powerful presence to nudge Finn and Brooke along. Both confirmed single forever sure changed. When it’s love, it’s love! I loved the phrases from Friends, I loved that show. The reference to Ruth Cardello was a welcome surprise too. It’s great to see authors that support each other. I wish this family well and can’t wait to see each brother fall and I can’t wait to see if Brookes besties become family. Well done once again Melody Anne. And with the service men and women getting recognition it means so much.
“For time and all eternity, we’re together”
This was a good, emotional story with interesting main characters. The rest of the Anderson brothers also added to the story. As did the other unexpected family members that suddenly popped up into their lives.
Finn doesn’t trust easily, not after his life experiences starting with his bad-to-the-bone father. So when his “uncle” Joseph shows up, he doesn’t believe everything he’s heard about how good he is supposed to be. Rich but a good man with an intense love (and some meddling) of family. Finn is respectful but also quick to set up boundaries with his uncle. He finds doing that with some of the rest of his “family” not quite so easy. The rest of the family is loving and quick to pull them into the group.
Brooke also had a lousy childhood having no one in her corner expect for her beloved brother. He was always cheering her on. Now that he is dead, she is left trying to overcome her grief. And her walls are up high around everyone else. Well, except her longtime best friends who are like sisters to her. Sarah and Chloe definitely add spice and understanding to her life. Finn scares her. Besides her attraction to him, she feels like he sees too much and too deeply into her.
How does Finn feel about Brooke? He falls fast and hard for her and enjoys the challenge that she often brings. He’s got a fight on his hands and his usual techniques with women just isn’t going to work. I liked how creative he got when he went on the chase for her. Not one of their “non-dates” was what would considered a normal date but they were interesting.
Yes, there will be sex in the story (lots actually) but Finn is in it for the long haul not just for a night or two of sex.
A couple of times it felt like the story dragged a time or two but it was probably because a couple of issues were re-addressed a bit repetitively.
I would also like to have seen more about the veterans center but I guess the story was really more about the people and their challenges.
There is a good twist or two towards the end with a feel good H.E.A. and Epilogue as well.
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
An incredible 5 star read from Melody Anne. Touching on the needs and lives of our Veteran’s. The story of Finn Anderson and Brooke Garrison will make you feel proud of those who served but also tug at your heart strings and give you a story that will you move you to the tips of your toes.
Finn didn’t know how he was going to come to grips with life outside of the military, until new family member members and a new project was presented to he and his brothers.
Brooke was struggling with the loss of her brother and just existing in life trying to do it one day at a time.
As with all the books featuring Joseph Anderson it is so family oriented, this one however does require tissues.
