Wow Cambria what a perfect ending to the GearShark Series. It was a total surprise to get another book as I thought #Blur was going to be the last book like everyone else but I was very glad that you wrote this book as it ended the series beautifully. Yay!! I totally love Hopper & Arrow, they’re definitely up there with Trent & Drew of my favourite couple. It was great getting to read more about them after all the heartbreak they both went through so they deserve their happy beginning. Joey did a amazing job with planning their wedding, it was so them. I was in love with Arrow’s wedding outfit and that Hopper wore high-tops to represent Arrow so adorably cute!! It was so cool how Trent & Drew brought Ivy & Rim in to help Joey plan her wedding since Trent just knew that she was feeling sad that she had no girlfriends to help her, the girls made her wedding beautiful & I had to laugh when her dad custom built a barn on his estate just for their wedding and how he tried to talk her out of marrying Lorhaven at the last minute haha it was so him and lastly it was so endearing how Lorhaven got brought down to his knees when his daughter was born and it was hilarious how he was dissing the ugly hat the nurse was trying to dress her in or how he was the one schooling everyone on how they should treat his baby girl lol who would’ve thought. What a perfect ending to an amazing series.Cambria I’m going to miss all the #Hashtag & GearShark characters as I’ve loved reading about them and fell in love with them all which started when I first read #Nerd. Like everyone else I secretly hope that you’ll one day write Trent & Drew another story but I’m really glad that your not forcing one out to make all your fans happy. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
I love ‘#GearShark’ and ‘#Hashtag’ series by Cambria Hebert and really enjoyed reading them. When I finished ‘#Blur’, I was upset because it was not enough for me and so when I saw the tweet about the ‘#FinishLine’ as you can imagine I was super excited to read more of Hopper and Arrow One of my favorite parts about the book is the GearShark interviews. It was great to see all the characters from the previous books. GearShark interviews Hopper & Arrow, Lorhaven & Joey and Drew & Trent. OMG! Reading the interviews of Lorhaven & Joey and Drew & Trent were hilarious I wish there was more of Drew and Trent but I am hoping they will get their own book for their happily ever after and it will give us more chance to get glimpses of the characters from the ‘#Hashtag’ series
So back to ‘#FinishLine’. I hope you all read ‘#Blur’ and already know about Hopper, a.k.a. Jayson Hamilton, and Arrow. If not STOP reading this review right now and start reading ‘#Blur’ Because I really don’t want this review to spoil the previous book for you.
If you read #Blur, you may continue. LOL! So you all know that Hopper and Arrow is happily in love. Arrow is up-and-coming NASCAR driver and after his interview with GearShark, all the eyes are on him, which is not helping Hopper because he is an ex- Motocross star and due to a tragic event he faced, he goes into hiding. Unfortunately, all the press and attention Arrow is getting, leads his cover to blow.
Being in love and living together with Arrow is not enough for Hopper. He wants to tie himself to Arrow forever in every way possible. However, after his identity out in the open and his past is plastered all over the media, past memories and hurts comes rushing back. Lucky this time he is not alone, Arrow is there to support him. Even though Arrow is trying to stay strong and support Hopper, he is also struggling with the emotions Hopper’s past brought up. I love the way Arrow is always there for Hopper and it was also heartwarming to see that even though facing his past, Hopper is always there to ensure Arrow that he is Hopper’s future. Together they are strong and the way they face their struggles together and their love for each other is beautiful. I am not going to give you any more details, if you want more you need to read the book
But be ready, because Arrow and Hopper is not the only couple you will be reading about in the ‘#FinishLine’. Second part, which is shorter, is about Lorhaven and Joey from ‘#Swag’. I didn’t realize how much I missed them until reading this and yes I will be going back and re-reading their story soon I am also not going into details about what happens but let me say this it was a nice catch-up If you enjoyed reading ‘#Swag’, you will definitely want to know what happens next with Lorhaven and Joey.
‘#FinishLine’ is another great book by Cambria Hebert and it was great to catch-up with the other couples from the previous books. I loved how Cambria Hebert emphasises the importance of family and love in all her books. All in all ‘#FinishLine’ will make you smile, laugh, and tear up. It is a sweet, emotional and sad story that you won’t be able to put it down until you are done.
Would I recommend this book: Yes
Would I re-read this book: Yes
Would I read future books by this author: Yes
This book was the perfect ending to one of my favorite series. I’ve read quite a few series and this book weaved an ending that was tied in a beautiful bow which allowed me to be satisfied and happy as I read the last page. I also carried a huge smile on my face and warmth in my heart.
Most of this series carried a certain amount of angst, which I love in the books I read. But that is the one thing missing here. I didn’t mind too much because I love all the characters which made their HEA so much deserved and I ate it up all the while swooning quite a few times. This author has the talent to take three couples, who had all struggled in life, to then weave their perfect ending. Be prepared for some laughter, unexpected tears and a feeling of completion in all the right ways. I really hoped this wasn’t the end of a really entertaining series and I definitely was in luck. While you essentially get the full ending for Arrow and Hopper as well as Joey and Lorhaven, you only get a quick glimpse of Drew and Trent. So I was so excited to hear that the author has recently released their story ending. They are still my absolute favorite couple and I will be diving straight into it. If you love true love, then don’t miss out. You won’t regret it.
All four for the price of one! I loved that the first half of this book was based on Arrow and Hopper and their continued love story. We got to see what happened with the fall out when everyone figured out who Hopper was and we got not one but two weddings and a baby in the second half when the story focused on Lorhaven and Joey! I love this series and these people!
This book is more of a wrap up put a Happily Ever After stamp on some of our #GearShark characters. It features Arrow and Hopper and how they are as a couple and just when you think they couldn’t fall more in love well they end up in Vegas.
Jace and Josie also have a feature that shows how she is dealing after all the hazing and proving herself worthy in a man’s sport, she is tired and ready to move on. Everyone is putting the pressure on Jace to pop the question but he wants to when he is ready.
I loved all the characters and it is bittersweet that it had to end, but thankfully everyone is happy and in LOVE and they all found their person. I will miss everyone but its time to let them live.
I almost piddled myself when Cambria announced this book. How can we not love more of Arrow and Hopper?! And Joey and Jace too? Clickclickclick! I read this whole book in one sitting I was that excited about reading it.
The whole book was just perfect and sweet. It had me smiling, giggling and feeling some of those things called emotions. I hate that we can’t be besties with fictional characters because I would love to be with this whole crew. What more can I say, another one that I absolutely love and adore. Every single book in this whole series is phenomenal. I can’t recommend it enough.
Man, oh man I will never get tired of these books. Cambria kind of surprised everyone with this book. #Blur hadn’t been out for too long when she did a surprise reveal for the cover and blurb for #FinishLine. I think all of her readers were ecstatic to see the series continue for one more book. I’m pretty sure that 99% of us are not ready for this series to end and wish she would continue writing more GearShark books. In relation, the end of GearShark, also means the final end to the Hashtag series, the original series that sparked this series. Although we have a lot of new characters that we’ve fallen in love with, most of the characters in GearShark were introduced in the Hashtag series. Saying goodbye to GearShark also means saying a final goodbye to Hashtag (unless Cambria decides to surprise us again in the future 😉 ).
With all that said, this book was amazing. I honestly loved it even more than I expected to (which was a lot) and couldn’t stop reading it once I started. With being nine months pregnant and a lot of other life crap thrown in the mix, it took me forever to start #FinishLine, something that I’m not happy about because I love these books and love to devour them immediately, and I definitely did once I finally got a chance to begin.
I never thought that the wedding bells would be happening for these two characters and especially not so soon. I was holding out hope for Trent and Drew, but only because I love those two so much and honestly miss them like crazy. Once I have paperbacks of the Hashtag and GearShark series, I definitely plan on doing a reread. Even though it wasn’t the two boys I wanted to say I do, I’m still sooooo happy and excited that Cambria had two of her male characters get married. We’ve seen so many hetero couples exchange vows and it was so exciting and satisfying to see two of the characters we loved most tie the knot.
I really couldn’t get enough of this book. It’s so full of romance and sexiness and just all around tug-on-your-heartstrings goodness that it’s impossible to put down. I’m sad to see the books come to an end, but they definitely ended on a high note and I’m more in love than I ever have been with Cambria’s words and characters.
OMG! This book was such an amazing end to an amazing series. I love the entire Gear Shark series and characters. This book had me crying happy tears and smiling so big and so much my cheeks actually started to hurt.
