Two artists meet again amid mysterious wolf shifter dangers. Can they survive and find love?Eric Holbrook lived for the perfect shot. That unique moment where the planets aligned, the lighting was crisp, and the angles spoke for themselves. Growing up in Galena, small-town America, he was struggling to break free of, not only a future of hometown newspapers, but the shadow of his ex and her happy … his ex and her happy existence married to his boss.
But his chase for the perfect captured picture drove him toward secrets he was never prepared to find facing an uncertain world of Shifter, danger, and a love he never saw coming.
That laugh.
That seductive smile.
How could he say no?
When Misty Miller moved to Galena in her teens, she found refuge in the clay, the wire, and the metal. After years in Chicago building her art career, she’s back, and all grown up. She never figured that she would settle down there, not for a lifetime, but anything to keep her mind on her work.
But what about when her high school crush literally lands on her front porch, holding a secret that she could never have imagined? Through the fur and fangs, she finds herself clawing to keep him grounded.
Will lust and discovery be enough to see through the discourse and fear that the shifter world brings?
Or will Eric’s drive end up being the death of more than just his career?

Finding the Wolf continues the world building of Wild Temptations, focusing on the middle Holbrook brother, Eric and Eric’s high school friend, Misty , The story moves quickly going from Eric’s and Misty’s lives apart to them temporarily living together as Misty nurses Eric back to health. When we first meet Eric, he talks about Lizzie, their break up, and mentions her artistic friend, Misty. Then Misty tells her friend over the phone that Lizzie dumped Eric for his boss. And finally, Eric and Misty talk about how Lizzie left Eric for his boss. There are a lot of questions to be explored, namely, how Eric is different from Christian since he was turned by a dark wolf and what the overall implications of this will be.
Eric came back to his hometown after finishing college with a degree in photo journalism. He got a job with a local paper while he also did some free lance work. He hears rumors about wolves being in the forest and he wants to get a picture of one in order to do something different. However he got more than he bargained for when he went into the forest he was attacked by a wolf and barely managed to get away. He ends up on Misty’s doorstep and when she finds him she takes him inside to take care of his wounds. While with Misty Eric shares that his girlfriend just broke up with him for his boss and why he went into the forest. Neither Misty or Eric were prepared for what that trip in the forest would do to him. Can Eric deal with what’s happened to him? Will he give Misty a chance?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Finding the Wolf is the second book in the Holbrook brothers series. I recommend you read them in order.
Unaware of his wolf DNA and unaware his brother is a wolf shifter, Eric goes into the forest to try and capture the perfect photograph for a competition.
He gets attacked and stumbles onto the porch of an old schoolfriend he has not seen in many years.
Misty has just returned to her hometown to complete an artist’s project when her old school flame Eric stumbles onto her porch in the middle of the night.
Misty seems to be either oddly fearless or incredibly brave.
A new shifter story with lovely characters and a twist to the usual and expected.
Yes we have some adventure and tears. We have Eric who is a photographer and needs to get that one! We have Misty that is getting her dream as an artist. One night everything changed for them. What happen to Eric? Who can help him? What will Misty do when she finds him? Will she run or help? What about their past?

First let me state that I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
Holy shiznet!!! This is not your typical wolf story, and I think that that’s why it’s so good. But it does have an HEA. There’s even evil wolves in this story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
This is Eric’s story, the middle brother. Eric wants to do more with his art than just nature pictures for the local paper. To top it off, his high school girlfriend, Lizzie, got engaged to his boss then broke up with him. She was a wicked witch and it worked out better for him anyway.
Misty is an accomplished artist that moved from Chicago back to her hometown for some quiet to work on her art. She and Lizzie were friends in school and she had a huge crush on Eric, but they weren’t close.
After Eric is attacked he makes it to Misty’s house before he passes out. Misty and Eric are finding out how much they have in common and they are getting close and just make a perfect couple. But, all is not as easy at it sounds. They are still in danger and don’t even know it.
I loved the dynamic that Eric and Misty have and how easily they fit into each other’s lives. The only thing I wish I could have seen, is Lizzie finding out about her ex boyfriend and ex best friend making such a wonderful couple. I am looking forward to the next book. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This was a good read. Well written with enjoyable characters. The storyline draws your interest and keeps it throughout. I would recommend reading.

It took me a little bit to get into the story but I remember the first one did the same thing with me! Eric was awesome and Misty was so cool through all of the mess. It turned out good
I enjoyed this book more than the previous.
Eric and Misty seemed to mesh well as characters. It was easy to be drawn to Eric especially after discovering that his boss had married his ex.
It will be interesting to see what is in store for the next brother.
I received this arc for an honest review.
Eric was looking to forget his ex because she is now married to his boss. He loves to take pictures and find the perfect shot but what do you do when life turns you upside down and you aren’t quite what you used to be. Now you are half man and half beast, a shifter and to top the icing on the cake you fall in love. Secrets sometimes are hard to swallow but can Misty accept this side of him and the new world that comes with it.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Finding the Wolf by Renee Carr is the second book in her Holbrook Brothers series. I thought this book started out a little slow, but once I read through the first chapter, I realized why. This is a great addition to this series. I loved that it features a lost chance at romance that is found again. This sweet and spicy story has lots of action and some emotional moments. With a very artsy flavor, I really enjoyed the sculpting and photography angle enhancing the story. A fun and satisfying read. (Mature Readers Only Please)

Eric and Misty’s story was good and kept my interest throughout. I liked that Misty had a crush on Eric before he shows up on her porch. This was a good part of the series.

ONE HOT AND HEAVY TREAT!!!
Holy crap! Renee hit pay dirt, racking ’em up and laying ’em out, throwing this gem into the eye of the storm, breaking it down, tossing this baby into a tailspin with shocking impacts. Blundering through the trials and tribulations, sharp twists, sleek turns and thin lines, lighting it up, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Divvying up delightful, well rounded scenario’s, ramping up the thrill and adrenaline, with such intensity and precision, blazing this gem to life brilliantly. Battling the drama, turmoil, intrigue, danger and suspense, while tension spirals, fusing this gem together seamlessly. The chemistry and attraction is intense, white hot and explosive. The characters and scenes are strikingly sharp with such colorful descriptions it gives you a full understanding and realism that flow smoothly. Awesome job Renee, thanks for sharing this incredible jewel with us.
In the begining it was hard for me to get into the book but as I continued reading I really enjoyed it. The story line and characters are well developed
This is the second book in The Holbrook Brothers Shifters series. While it can be read as a stand-alone book, it is better appreciated afterf reading the first book. It does not contain a cliff hanger.
Eric is a photographer and Misty is a sculturist who grew up in the same small town. Misty discovers Eric outside her home one day after he was apparently attacked by a wolf. Neither of them knows that the wolf was a shifter intent on creating another shifter and Eric possesses an inherited gene that makes him susceptible to this transition.
The story is enjoyable as was the first book. I got the impression from the first book that Dark Wolves is a pejorative; thus, I was surprised to read one of them refer to himself by the same term. Other than this, I had no qualms about the book.

I found this book to be better than the first one in series. The romantic story of Eric and Misty was by all means everything you expect from a romance story. Their background setting very believable. Not to mention that the back story got even more intriguing.
The author has given us characters that we can care about. Eric is attacked in the woods and somehow finds his way to Misty. When she sees that he need help, she immediately tries to help him. From this moment on, their lives will never be the same again.

The second book. It stayed on track with the theme of the first story instead of jumping to a whole new one. Which pleased me to no end. In fact, characters are related. If you liked the first one s well s undid them you should really enjoy this book. I give it 9 stars as there are none to give.
