OHMYGOODNESS!!!! I did NOT want to put this book down! I ADORE Asher and Peaches. This book gave me so many feels! As with all of Brittney’s books, she kept me turning the pages and emotionally invested – I didn’t want the book to end!! The emotional (and sexual) tension, the action, the flashbacks… all.so.good. I just finished it and already can’t wait to read it (and the whole series!) again!!
Navy SEAL Asher Hayes & former CIA officer Jessica Scott are dynamite with their explosive chemistry simmering just below the surface. They had one secret night together years ago and years later fate has brought them back together working at Scott & Scott Securities. Forced to work together side by side for months while her brother, Luke, is out on paternity leave, old feelings spring anew and the heat of their sexual tension rises to triple digits.
When an op goes south & Jessica is taken, Asher can no longer hide his feelings for the smart, sassy woman he’s teased relentlessly. Gone are all thoughts except finding Jessica, keeping her safe & staking his claim on the woman who makes his blood run hot. However, things are anything but simple once Jessica’s back safe and sound. She’s pushing everyone away and erecting sky high walls to protect herself from the pain that comes at the price of love. She can’t bear to lose someone close again nor allow anyone else the chance to get close. As Asher fights to break down her walls, the secret of their relationship and past history are soon exposed and it threatens to rip apart the very bonds of brotherhood among the team.
Can Asher convince Jessica to find the fight within herself to grasp what she truly wants in life? Or will she continue to shield her beautiful, caring heart beneath her icy exterior, abandoning any hope of a future and leaving their time together to stay a fond, distant memory?
This is the story you didn’t know you needed!! I had a hard time waiting for Jessica and Asher’s story. Holy Crap did Brittney Sahin deliver!!! Asher and Jessica had a steamy entanglement a few year back when she was with the CIA. Fast forward 3 years and they meet again. They both grow and develop in the story. I’ve been excited to wait for Jessica’s fall knowing that Asher will be there to catch her.
I think anyone who’d read the first two Stealth Ops books has been anxiously awaiting Asher and Jessica’s story and I count myself among you. Finding The Fight not only met but exceeded all expectations. These two have been dancing around each other for the past three years and we found out even longer. But to get them where we want them, they have to wade through kidnappings, assassinations, terrorist plots and family drama not to mention suspense and some fast paced action
Asher and Jessica each have their own demons. He’s volatile, lethal and sometimes unpredictable. Overcoming his past is an ongoing process that he sometimes fails at. Jessica is wicked smart, seemingly fearless and keeps herself under rigid emotional control. When her life is endangered Bravo Team pulls out all the stops despite orders from on high to the contrary. After neutralizing the threat they set about to discover what really is going on. However Jessica may be a changed woman because of her experience. Dare she finally give into feelings and can she overcome her doubts? Asher is dealing with things in a very unhealthy manner too. These two to quit ignoring the elephant in the room…they love each other.
Asher – Oh Asher! FINALLY, we get Asher’s story! I just couldn’t wait for Asher and Jessica’s story. I knew it would blow my mind! AND I WAS RIGHT! Oh my the HOT, STEAMY CHEMISTRY between these two, WOW! I didn’t want it to end. And I knew Asher was as Alpha-man as you can get, but his gentle side? OH baby!
Asher Hayes is a former underground fighter. He joined the Navy to get away from the temptation of following in his father’s footsteps and going to jail.
Jessica Scott is a former CIA agent who with her brother co-head a group of covert SEAL Teams.
These 2 met 6 years ago on a joint mission in the Middle East. After a HOT and intense night together, they thought they would never see each other again. Fast forward a few years and Jessica and her brother Luke recruit him to join their team. These two try to hide their steamy chemistry by baiting each other and trying to hate each other. The Team sees through their love/hate relationship, well all except her brother Luke.
Jessica goes to Germany to be with a group of girls that she saved/teach for the mission 6 years ago. While there, she gets kidnapped/tortured, and the girl she once saved is killed. The Team goes after her and saves her while stopping a terrorist attack. Jessica and the Team are grounded to for not following the President’s orders to stand down. Jessica’s wounds are healing but her mental wounds are not. Can Asher help heal her? Oh, yes he can!
Brittney has done it again. She is just incredible in her character and world creations that you feel like they are part of your friend group. You feel what they feel, you are invested in their lives. You fall in love with them and cry with them. I can’t wait to read about the rest of Bravo Team.
I wish authors would have
More plot and less sex! Some of my favorite authors are filling their books with over fifty percent sex scenes. I don’t mind some but when it’s practically all there is it’s just ruins a good mystery!
Something about the third book in a series. There’s always a special spark, maybe because the author hits her stride with her characters. Britney Sahin certainly did with Asher and Jess. I loved the push pull of their relationship. I loved how Asher was fighting the fact that his sister was dating his childhood best friend and that Luke was fighting a similar demon with Jess’ relationship with Asher. Then there was the fact that both hero and heroine were emotionally locked up yet slowly let each other knock down the walls. Good thing I work from home because this one distracted me when I was suooosed to be doing my job!
I knew before starting Finding the Fight I would love Asher & Jessica’s story. These two already gravitate around each other in Finding the Mark and Finding Justice. It was just a matter of time for their walls to fall and their feelings to be expressed.
Once again, you can’t resist being sucked in the story from the start. Brittney Sahin perfectly masters the art to capture her readers’ attention within a few chapters. Finding the Fight starts with a bang and you won’t catch your breath for a long time! Action-packed, the story flashes upon your eyes letting you hooked up to your kindle for several hours without wanting to put it down!
When I was reading It was like watching a TV show such as Homeland where national security is at stake, where hard decisions needed to be made and where the people you care the most are put at risk!
How amazing would it be for the Stealth Ops series to be on screen? I’m signing up right away!!
« We’re a team, remember? You go. »… « I go. »
Finding The Fight being a romantic suspense filled with twist and turns you won’t see coming; you shouldn’t be too worried about the romance because I can assure you, the chemistry is all over the place.
Asher & Jessica teased each other all the times even in the more difficult times. If you’ve read the previous books in the series you’ve witnessed more than once how both characters are around each other; how with a look they say more than words can express.
Being a SEAL, Asher needs to stay focus and is dedicated when it comes to work but he’s also a laid-back guy cracking joke whenever possible. He’s a fighter coming from the street and to him the best way to release the tension is through pain. Several times while reading, my heart ached at the decisions he had to take. Seeing his vulnerabilities and discovering what he hides made me love him even more.
What I enjoy the most when reading characters you’ve met in previous books is to finally get to know their secret. I see them open up and it feels like discovering another person.
« She needed to be a hero. And heroes didn’t have time for love. »
As an former CIA agent, Jessica knows how to be strong and how to show no weakness. She must stay in control all the times and at all costs which make people think she can be a bit cold. What happens to her in this story will shake her to the core but she stayed strong no matter what.
Jessica will have to decide if her love for Asher is strong enough to let her walls down.
Asher needs to make peace with who he is and makes the woman he loves see what being a team really means.
« How much do you want me? » Her long lashes lifted, and her blue eyes stole his breath.
« More than you can possibly know. »
The Stealth Ops series has many more books to come and I’ll be here waiting for each and every single book Brittney wants to write.
Next is Liam… can you already see all the hearts in my eyes? And from what I learnt, his story might be hurt.
Bring it on!
This book was amazing ! I’m so happy I got a chance to read this book, I love all the stealth ops books I can’t wait for many more I don’t want to give away how amazing all the characters where , I like how they all came together from the other stealth Ops books ! Amazing well done
I Love! Love! Love this book!
Fighting the Fight is the third installment in the Stealth Ops series. This is the story of Jessica and Asher.
Action?
Drama?
Terrorist?
Romance?
Sex?
Brittney Sahin has a way of pulling you in to the world of covert ops without losing your way. True to her writing style, this story is full of action, drama, deceit, romance, hot scenes, and a sprinkle of humor.
Asher and Jessica are two pretenders who try to avoid their undeniable chemistry. Unbeknownst to everyone, they have a history together. But to maintain a professional working relationship, they must agree that what happened six years ago will not happen again. How far until they’ll surrender? You’ll have to find out!
While Asher may appear like a jokester, behind that façade is a past he carries that he’s trying to escape. Jessica, like his brother Luke, is an uptight female. Most of it is from a past experience and upbringing. Both have vulnerabilities that caused them to build walls around their heart. But when tragedy shook them to their core, they must learn to open up and become the strength to each other.
I love it when Asher finally admitted how he truly feels for Jessica. You can feel the sadness, frustration, and love for the woman he holds dear in his heart. The slow burn is worth the wait between these two. This is a must read for a Brittney Sahin fan.
I can’t wait for Liam’s story next!
Holy Hell!! Asher was everything I had hoped he would be and so much more!! I couldn’t wait for Asher and Jessica’s story. From the very first introduction of Asher, you could just tell there was insane chemistry between him and Jessica and I couldn’t wait to see how their story plays out!! I, however, was not expecting them to have such a deep connection and even prior to forming their Scott & Scott Security cover!!! I love the banter that goes on between all of the characters but the relentless bickering that goes on between Asher and Jessica is hilariously perfect!! These two are by far my favorite couple in the Stealth Ops Series!!! And I love, love, love how there is so much more to the story then simply watching Asher and Jessica fall in love but seeing how intense their missions are and the devotion the whole team has to one another; I love the camaraderie!! Thank You Brittney Sahin!!!
Nicknames, sexual tension,
Asher and Jessica make a great couple who would have thought, certainly not her brother wait til he finds out!
Deep deep feelings.
Great story!
Thank you Brittany
This book kept me reading until I finished it! Asher and Jessica had great chemistry and lots of steam. Lots of action as they work together along with great secondary characters. The two had so many things going on with their ops and some surprises as these two come together. Loved it!!!
Brittney Sahin fans’ most anticipated book in the Stealth Ops series is here, Navy SEAL Asher Hayes finally gets his time to shine in Finding the Fight. Asher is the tough guy in the special black-ops team, known for fighting and throwing himself into the fire. He ribs on everyone, but particularly on former CIA officer Jessica Scott. The entire team knows there’s sparks flying between the two, but they have no idea just how much. When Jessica is targeted the team agrees to go rogue to stop any future attacks, but Asher? He’s willing to do whatever it takes, even if that means ruining whatever might be brewing between the two. As the stakes get higher and the mission gets personal, Asher and Jessica have to decide if they have the will to fight or accept failure.
“He was living two lives lately. It’d been easier back in the day. He never walked the fine line. No need to balance.”
The buildup to Jessica and Asher finally putting into motion the chemistry between them has been going on since book one in the series. The side comments from Asher, Jessica’s nickname of Peaches, and the great care Jessica takes to avoid one on one time with him has made it all painfully obvious that these two had some unfinished business. Of course, it isn’t just lust and flirty banter between these two, there’s an unspoken rule that Team Guys don’t go after fellow Team Guy’s sibling, and Jessica is just that. High-stake ops and dangerous missions, as well as Asher being back around family for the first time in years, really brings out the emotion in him, making him question his mortality and his wants, making him turn to fighting again. Jessica has always been better about hiding behind her walls, but when she’s abducted and injured she comes home different, her walls broken a bit, and Asher finds his way in.
“But you need to find the fihgt inside of you. It’s in there. I know it.”
I love how sensitive tough guy Asher was with her, all while trying to feed his inner beast with secret fights and making risky moves to protect both Jessica and the world from further attacks. I think Ashers always been a good guy despite his bad boy appearances, I think Finding the Fight really highlighted that about him. We see him with his family, we learn about the events that hardened him and turned him into the stubborn, brash, handsome man we know. Jessica, on the other hand, has been a mystery to us and Brittney Sahin really developed her in this story. We understand her a little more than we had previously and the slow burn of the romance makes it realistic, because old Jessica would not have been on board. Like the previous novels, the secondary characters play a huge role in the story and bring the setting, the team, to life. Not only could I hear Jessica and Asher bantering in my head, but I could picture the guys as they fought against the bad guys intent on wreaking havoc. This book isn’t just emotional and romantic, it’s riveting, suspenseful, and an action-packed ride.
“’You,’ he whisper-said. ‘You changed me.’ He took a breath and mumbled, ‘Whether I like it or not.’”
While Asher may not be my personal favorite of the bunch, he is certainly the best looking and the one who most obnoxiously begged for a story. He’s a limelight stealer, but in a good way. Like the man who inspired his image, Jason Momoa, Asher is larger than life and this story brings him back down to earth, giving readers a chance to get to know him and see another side of him. We get to see he’s more than just talk and risk taking, he’s got a big heart and a past that shaped him. And Jessica? We get to know her in a way that allows us to see what Asher sees in her. They’re a perfect fit, even if it took a long time for their roads to finally line up. Finding the Fight is such a fantastic standalone story and an incredible addition to the Stealth Ops series.
Oh man..holy smokes…this author does it again, delivering another read that I could not put down. The story of Jessica and Asher, who have a history and work togther, sparks flying off of them at every turn and both denying what they both want. Jesica has been trained to not let emotions get the best of her, keeping everything deep deep down, making her seem like an ultimate ice queen but she does feel and has helped others w/o anyone else knowing. That gets her in trouble when her past catches up with her, and has her team scrambling to find and save her.
Asher knows about the op that landed her in trouble and sends shock waves when he admits that yes, they have worked togther in the past but doesn’t let on that they have shared more than an op. He is struggling as well, his past catching up to him when his sister does something that shocks him and he goes back to his old ways to cope with what happened to Jessica and everything else that is spiraling out of control in his life. It’s one thing after another…can’t they catch a break?
WOW WOW WOW WOW what a read that had me on the edge of my seat and biting my nails while flipping the pages to see how it all ends. A read filled with suspense and action, lust/love, and amazing, did I state, AMAZING characters. The story flowed beautifully and the descriptions were spot on, making me feel like I was right there with them. The intensity and attraction between these two was hot hot hot hot, melt an iceberg hot and what I LOVED, did I mention LOVED, Asher was not a man wh*** and only had eyes for Jessica.
I have read all of this author’s books and each read keeps getting better and better, just when I think she can’t top the last book, BAM, she does it again. I can’t wait to see what comes next !!!!!
Loved the book the chemistry between Asher and Jessica was amazing
Looking forward to reS about Liam and Emily
We know from the way Asher and Jessica interacted in previous books in this series that they were meant to be together. In this book there are a few more secrets revealed, but yes they are perfect for one another even if the road they take to get there is not. As with the other Stealth Ops books there is lots of action and intrigue. I loved reading about their past and new relationship!
Asher a Navy SEAL.
Jessica a former CIA officer.
Working together for years as part of a black-ops team.
She’s his best friends sister.
Loads of sexual tension.
AWKWARD lol.
Brittney has certainly made me one happy woman right now!!
This books means absolutely EVERYTHING!!!
I’ve been waiting for Asher and Jessica’s book for what seems like forever lol. It really didnt disappoint!!!
Jessica I love her alot but MAN I wanted to shake her so many times and tell her to get her shit together lol. She really was a tough nut to crack. But I really did feel for her some of the times with what happened to her.
Asher… *DEAD* Loved him from when he was in Luke’s book. Loved him more in Owen’s book. Now I love the big guy so goddamn much.
How much he cares for Jess *swoons*. I love all the flirting he does too. It just makes me laugh so much. Him calling her Peaches just to annoy her haha.
I loved the whole story from start till the very end.
I laughed so hard… those guys in the team are just brilliant, yes I did cry a few times lol but it’s what they said that made me cry and I swooned a hell of alot.
Brittney how she comes up with these stories I have no idea but I dont want her to EVER STOP!!!
I didnt want this books to end. I was so excited for it that now I’ve read it I’m sad because I wanted it to go on for another 100 or more pages lol.
But I know he’ll be in the next books with the rest of the gang
I’m excited for Liam’s book now. That Aussie charmer next haha
Well done love on another fantastic read xx
I couldn’t put this book down. I like that we already know both the main characters (if you’ve read previous books in the series) so there’s not a lot of getting to know the characters. Asher’s character has so much depth, and he really tries to take care of everyone. Jessica was so stubborn it made me crazy at times, but was a strong, solid individual. I think this was the best in the series so far but I’m sure the next will manage to top it.
Asher and Jessica’s sexual tension has been evident since the first book in the series, leaving us on the edge of our seat waiting for their story and the book didn’t disappoint!
This book has all the feels and I didn’t want to put it down! The book starts with Asher and Jessica in charge of the teams while Luke was on paternity leave and Jessica slowly torturing Asher by eating cherries in front of him all the time as payback for him eating peaches, his nickname for her. The relationship between the two really heat up when Jessica is kidnapped and tortured in Berlin and a girl she helped escape Syria was killed. The team was in a race against time to save Jessica and others as she is strapped to a suicide vest. Asher starts realizing his feelings for Jessica are real and lasting but Jessica retreats into herself to try and make sense of what happened but Asher doesn’t give up and ends up admitting his feelings to Luke and Jessica overhears putting an even tighter strain on their relationship. Just when you think they can work things out, one of Ashers friends from his past was killed and his sister shot, causing Asher to go off the deep end. While Asher is away Jessica comes to grip with her feelings and hunts him down admitting her feelings. One of the things that makes this book stand out is that it is Asher who realizes his feelings first and has to work to convince Jessica. I can’t wait for the next installment in this series!
