An enjoyable read.
A romance is what the bookish heart needed for Valentine’s Day.
It didn’t disappoint either! It had every element that I look for in a romance. It had great characters with chemistry. There was side elements that deepened the plot. There was passion in parts.
Still it wasn’t the best romance that I have ever read.
Sometimes you weren’t sure who …
The only thing more embarrassing than finding that her gig was at a bachelors’ party instead of a kiddies event, was finding herself back at the same address applying for a job as a nanny. However, one look at the little girl Bella, tells Harper that she is exactly where she needs to be. At first glance, Harper and Cameron are a mismatched pair, …
Cute
She is working at a party not realising her boss set up to strip. Hot southern gentleman. But needs a nanny for his little girl. She needs a job. The challenges are great, but the rewards are better.
What a wonderful book. The characters jumped right off the page and into my heart. Can’t wait to read more by this author. Delightful.
This is the first book I have read from Barbara Lohr and I enjoyed her writing style very much which let the reader feel the pain and joy, but not in an “angsty” way. It had a good plot and likeable characters, both primary and secondary. I’m glad this is the beginning of a series because I didn’t quite get enough of Harper, Cameron and Bella. …
Loved the beginning! (No spoilers here.) Harper, Bella and Cameron are all outstanding characters. I almost feel like I know them. This is a prequel to an awesome series of books. I did not want to put this down. I highly recommend the entire series.
This is a good overall story, however the heroine is very insecure. So much so, that it grew old by the end.
Cameron is such an amazing man, but I can’t believe he stayed with Kimmy so long! And I loved little Bella! And Harper was such a uniquely colorful person, outwardly confident, yet as unsure of herself as many people are. From Cat Woman to nanny to HEA, this was a great book!
Loved this book!! I could get lost in reading this book and did loose track of time. Just a fun entertaining love story.
Heartwarming, light romance and a easy read.
The main characters had a good rapport from the beginning. As the book progressed, the passion in their relationship grew. There was a slow development from just meeting to steamy passion which was very believable since he had a daughter.
A sweet, poignant, witty novel all rolled together with a fabulous cast of characters and plot that you will not soon forget. I could not stop reading and now moving on to the rest of the Windy City series where I know they will also be as well written and endearing as Finding Southern Comfort!
Sweet story
Enjoyed this book and looking forward to reading more in the series.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters are wonderful and there is more depth to them than I first imagined. I found myself thinking about this story long after I read the last page.
A good afternoon read
A Southern Gentleman is not all he seems to be. Enter one interior design female wearing a Cat Woman costume. Add a five year old little girl with an eating disorder. Find out how they all become a family.
Loved it! Didn’t want to put it down
a little funny but she’s a little too pathetic. she’s the college girl in the horror movie that always falls down running away from the murderer. mildly funny moment in the very beginning.
