When Laurie’s car is broken into and then her studio, Tuck is assigned the case. After several more incidents occur, his concern for her safety begins to turn more personal. As for Laurie, Tuck’s warmth and kindness begin to penetrate her stubbornness.
Finding Peace, Book 1 in Melanie D. Snitker’s Love’s Compass series, was my first time reading this author’s work. I enjoyed this story. Tuck and Laurie were a likable couple and made for a good romance. Even though there was a crime involved, it was not a “scary” read. I look forward to learning more about the Chandler family as the series continues.
Well written book with a well thought out plot. You will like Laurie the portrait photographer and detective Tuck. Laurie and Tuck meet when there is a break in that takes place in Laurie’s studio. Great chemistry between these two. The mystery unfolds as they try to find out who is breaking into different places in the community. There are elements of suspense and danger. By placing their relationship in Gods hand, Laurie and Tuck find love and happiness. This is a very enjoyable read.
Wonderful. Hard to put down.
Very human and easy to read. Some romance too.
What a sweet romantic book. Loved it
Very entertaining book with believable characters.
I really enjoyed every moment while reading it.
I really enjoyed this book. It was truly inspirational.
Nice, sweet story. Likeable characters.
A fun family to read about and an interesting take on how other’s lives impact our own. I enjoyed the mystery and sweet romance that grew between these characters and their families. The spirit that drives us each into our own opportunities is very well captured in this story.
If you’re looking for a sweet, clean romance with a little faith and mystery added in, this book is what you’re looking for. I enjoyed meeting Tuck and Laurie and seeing their friendship and relationship develop. Loved the secondary characters as well and was excited at the end of this book to get to know them more in the books that are next in the series.
A simple romance with a bit of mystery as in thefts that bring the two main characters together. A good clean read.
Enjoyed the book but I pretty much knew the outcome very early.
Liked having a bit of crime drama included in the romance
Enjoyed reading and the inspirational part of it!
Good book
The book had an interesting premise but lacked some transitions in spots. For instance, the male main character couldn’t decide whether to get involved in a romantic relationship, but then all of a sudden, he’s totally involved with the female lead character. The tension here was missing. Also, the ending needed more gradual development. It ended too abruptly.
The book was some what unexpected in the story line. Action, danger , inspiration and romance
Easy read engaging characters
