Jenna Snyder has finally gotten her life back together. She’s left her shattered heart behind and is quite content being the caretaker to a flirtatious geriatric man. In between his daily marriage proposals and in-home nurse visits, she manages to relax and ease her mind at her potter’s wheel. The only thing holding her back from finding true happiness are the painful memories from her past that … that can never be erased. She wants to leave them behind, and that includes Tristan. It doesn’t matter that he’s smart and successful and sexy. Or that he’s the sweetest man she’s ever met. He destroyed her world and tore her heart into a million pieces and that can never be forgiven.
Tristan Ketch never thought his catering business would have him pairing his food with a small town winery in Crystal Cove, Maine. Or that he’d run into the woman he once loved. Hell, the woman he still loves. He regrets the way they ended, and he’ll do anything to make things right with her now. But first he needs to regain her trust, and that means doing everything in his power to make sure she never discovers the truth…the real reason behind what ripped them apart.

I recommend having tissues and a glass of wine handy while reading this heartaching romance. Jenna and Tristan’s story unfolds at a slow burning pace, so you must be prepared for that. Trust me, it will be worth it once all the details and secrets are revealed and you finally have a clear picture of what stands between this couple and a HEA in this beautiful second chance romance.
She is finally finding her place after a rough time. She finds peace in doing her pottery while looking after an elderly gentleman and she is in for a shock when a face from the past reappears. He is shocked to see her again and he still loves her but he needs to keep hidden the truth of why he left. Will she give him the time of day? Will she allow him close again? What if she finds out his secret? See if she finds out

This is a great 2nd chance romance in the wonderful Well Paired series. Jenna & Tristan married when they were young and after suffering a tragedy they divorced & moved on. When Tristan is hired to cater at the winery Jenna’s friends own for a food & wine pairing event Jenna is taken off guard. She wasn’t expecting to see Tristan at all, after all the years they spent apart. I liked how much Tristan worked to regain her trust, how he helped her with a loss in her life. This is such a heart wrenching, emotional read.
I really enjoyed this story line in this book, it was gritty and emotional. Jenna and Tristan suffered a tragedy in their life but I loved the twist in it as I was not expecting that. The author has written superbly and I could not put this book down, looking forward to reading more from her. I voluntarily read and reviewed a advanced copy arc.
This is a second chance tale between Jenna & Tristan, even a bit of a triangle too! Jenna has found a new life caring for an elderly gentleman. Tristan has found success as a chef catering for events etc. it’s when he is trialling for a dinner he meets his ex. The connection is still there but I won’t disclose their history as this is revealed slowly throughout the tale. Actually it brings a touch of sadness to the story esp at the end when a major twist is revealed.
That’s a very condensed version as the story is quite intense at times & slightly angsty.
There is a decent collection of secondary characters, no doubt appearing in the series. It does get a bit confusing at first getting to know them & where they’re involved but it’s the same with many small town series.
I was in awe of Tristan in the end for what he did.

This book left me an emotional mess. I loved it and am glad Tristan and Jenna got their second chance.
“We can’t live our lives with regrets and what-ifs. We can only live in the now and use those experiences to help us make better choices in the future.”
Finding Our Way Back is a beautiful and emotional second chance story full of hope, healing, friendship and love.
Jenna has made a beautiful life in Crystal Cove with great friends, a wonderful job, and far away from her past. When her past comes walking through the door seven years later, the air is sucked from her and her world stops. Will she have what it takes to forgive and finally move on?
To say I loved this book would be an unsterstament. Marianne Rice has created a beautiful town with relatable characters who are sure to take you on a emotional journey with them. This book captivated my attention I found the pages flew before my eyes. I highly recommend reading this series.
Please note books can be read as a stand alone, but I find it more enjoyable to read in order so you can truly understand all of the wonderful characters.
Jenna and Tristan married young and through a tragedy went separate ways. Eight years later they find themselves in the same town and when they connect it is sorrowful in ways and yet as time pass they begin to come together. Jenna works as a care giver to Jerry who helps her heal and it is Tristan who helps her through her ordeal when Jerry dies. Now they have come full circle and it is Tristan’s mother that is the wild card in their lives. Will they make it back to a happily ever after?

Jenna and Tristan have a past which was separated due to a tragic event. Now Tristan is back will they have a 2nd chance? No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which is heartbreaking, heart-warming, emotional, gritty, and with unexpected twists and love. I highly recommend this gifted authors’ work for all.
I have mixed feelings about this story, mainly because I am not a big fan of weak, whining females. Yes Jenna is sweet and everyone loves her, big heart and all and yeah that’s great. The problem is she spins too much time whining and depending on other people for her happiness. These two have a story that isn’t unique but this author does have a way with words and a way to draw you into the pain and the love as they experience it. She doesn’t supply unnecessary details about what happens behind closed doors or overload us with loads of idle brain chatter. It’s a story that will draw you in and hold you from start to finish. The girls will keep you laughing and do well with putting her in check. Jenna’s story will touch your heart. It’s a story of tragedy, healing, forgiveness and moving forward. It’s always great when you have a chance to know and enjoy catching up with characters from previous reads. If you’re looking for sex don’t stop here but if you want a great emotional read and a second chance romance this is what you’re looking for.
Get the Kleenex ready for this second chance love story between a young couple who go through so much heartache in their young lives. Jenna and Tristan’s story is a heartbreakingly beautiful one. They were married young, suffered a tragedy and it took such a toll on them ending their relationship in divorce. Fate brings them back together years later and they get a second chance to love again. This book is an emotional one but also it also made my “books I will reread” list. Loved it!
I would have a hard time starting over in a relationship with my ex when I lost our child. There were a lot of painful memories and hurtful things said between Jenna and Tristan. She thought she could be in a relationship with Carter because he had nothing to do with her past, but she couldn’t really let it develop when she still had feelings for Tristan. I thought it was cool that she made pottery and painted pictures. I wish I was more creative. The elderly widower Jerry she cared for was a riot. I loved that he watched GH because that’s what his wife used to do. They both helped each other heal after their losses. This was a sexy second chance romance with plenty of humorous, sad, and romantic moments.
Tristan broke Jenna’s heart, and she’s not sure she’ll ever recover. She’s a caregiver/companion to Jerry, a charming 92-year-old man with an absentee family. She loves her job, and has become Jerry’s close friend. Tristan has a new catering business, and takes a catering job at a small winery. Where he runs smack dab into Jenna. Their marriage couldn’t survive a tragedy, and his second marriage was a failure as well. I’m in love with this book. All of the characters were truly wonderful, exactly the friends we all hope to have. It’s a great story about finding your way back to love after incredible heartbreak, forgiveness and healing. And please don’t think you’ll get through this book with just a couple of tissues – grab the whole darn box.

This is another winner in the Well-Paired series. Tristan and Jenna never stopped loving each other after tragedy tore them apart. They are both decent, good-hearted people who have been through so much heartache. Each has tried moving on with their life but together was the only way to really put the past behind them and move on. Tristan is a swoon-worthy hero with a big heart. Jenna could have come across as pathetic but she is too strong of a character for that. I felt for both of them and was rooting for their HEA. I loved catching up with all the characters from the previous books.
I didn’t give the book 5 stars for a couple of reasons. One reason is I felt there was too much unnecessary story before they finally got together at about the 73% mark. That alone wouldn’t have brought it to 4 stars. The real problem for me is how quickly Jenna got over the last trauma. It took her 8 years to get to the point of forgiving Tristan buy she got over the big reveal in a matter of days. That felt false to me. IMO, it would have taken her a long time to come to grips with the truth.
I truly enjoyed the story and recommend reading Finding Our Way Back. Marianne Rice is an excellent author.
Book five in the A Well Paired Novel series a well written story about two people trying to get over things in their pasts. I thought Tristan Ketch was a very strong man for what he did, and Jenna Snyder needed to wake up and stop blaming others. This is a second chance for them from when they got their divorce. A very good story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
First off this cover is SO BEAUTIFUL! In my opinion it starts this story off right.
Ok the story… I love this series and all the characters. It made my heart happy delving back into the well paired world. A book club, winery, sweet girl posse, and east coast town lays a wonderful foundation to this series.
I knew from reading the others that Jenna, our heroine of this book had some mystery and sadness surrounding her. The brilliance of this author is you just have to keep reading to find out what has happened. Eek.
Tristan our hero is new this series so it takes a bit to see his true character. Let me say I fall in love with him. He truly has to make tough decisions to honor his true love and the heartbreak they experienced.
If you are looking for a sweet contemporary romance, then I would say check this one out. Truthfully you should read the entire series but that isn’t required to follow this story.
Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO
This second chance/reunion romance from Marianne Rice is another winner in the Well Paired series that takes place in Maine. Love this town and the people in it. So much goodness and amazing friendships. But take out your hankies cause this book has more than a few deep feels! It’s a little slow to start, with the main characters not being on the same page much for a while, but still thinking of the other. But once it really gets started, it is SOOO good! Hoping we’ll get at least another story and finally see Mia find the man of her dreams!
A Beautiful Story with Incredible Characters
This has been a day for reading books that really tug at the heartstrings. The author has created a slow burn, sweet, and sad second chance at romance that definitely delivers on all the feels. The hero and heroine had been married before when they were in their early twenties, and their marriage couldn’t survive a personal tragedy. They are changed people when they happen to meet again seven years later. He has never stopped loving her, despite another intervening failed marriage, and she is not sure she is willing to forgive the part that he played in their tragedy. The characters in this book are fantastic, and not just the hero and heroine. I loved the heroine’s circle of friends; each woman was unique and able to provide the support the heroine needed. I also absolutely adored the heroine’s relationship with the elderly man that she was taking care of. Their relationship showed her kind nature and generous heart. I thought that the author did a particularly good job with dialogue. It seems realistic in terms of the word themselves and how they reflected the relationships of the people involved in the conversations. Exceptionally well done; a beautiful story with incredible characters.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Finding Our Way Back – I found this book interesting and filled with good, interesting storylines and wonderful characters. There was no stupidity formula, too common nowadays, but plenty of drama. This is story is heartwarming and heartbreaking with emotions running the gamut and plenty of loving supportive friends and families. While this is a standalone, I was confused with Priscilla and her colors. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Marshmallows & Mistletoe – This is my first read by this author and it won’t be my last. An enjoyable, clean story that is so heartwarming and delightful, it’s perfect for Christmas, and every day of the year. The characters are sweet, loving, humble and well mannered. While the child is a large part of the story, his father is the perfect character. Full of consideration and manners, like men used to be, especially in the Deep South; what he had to conquer to open his heart is heartbreaking and inspiring.
The storylines are well written, interesting and realistic, as is the dialog. There is plenty of humor that adds depth to this beauty of this story. One thing had me rolling my eyes repeatedly is that there are three vehicles using the same fuel as the generator, but he was going to walk ten miles for more fuel. Dumb. This story goes so well with a cuppa and a furbaby, or just by itself. I contacted the author to review her book. 5*
Love this beautiful novel by Marianne Rice!
