A sassy chef with a crush on her boss finds herself on a ‘not-a-date’ with him in this hilariously steamy romp. Complete with a problematic socialite, a cream puff fiasco, and a killer dress with a strategic peek of lace, there might also be a man-bun…a pair of dueling best friends…and a wedding…or two. From the day she got the job as Nick’s personal chef, Breanna has been a smitten kitten, … smitten kitten, but she knows the rules. Nick is her boss, he’s gorgeous, rich, and off-limits. Nevermind the beautiful brat, Veronica, hanging on his arm.
Finding himself inconveniently single on the night of an important gallery event, Nick asks Breanna to stand in as his ‘plus one’. What Breanna doesn’t know is that Nick has a crush too, and he’s hoping that this ‘not-a-date’ is anything but business…until Veronica crashes the party.
Two love stories, two HEAs, double the fun! A perfect read for those who want the drama low, the steam high, and the laughs one right after the other.

I read an ARC of this book of my own free will.
And enjoyed every second! The characters are awkward in the most lovable way, their inner voice is exposed to us all the time and it’s hilarious!
I was crying from laughter for over half the read.
I have to say that the low drama factor was great in my opinion, two people fall in love and feel good together and that’s enough. Sure there are more dramatic moments but it’s never over the top and always believable.
And did I mention I loved the characters? Because I did. Both Bree & Nick as well as Margo & Williams were so well written and relatable. And hot.
To which I’ll add – major steam alert!
A solid 4.75, and the only reason it’s not a solid 5 is because I felt a lot of tell in places that could have been a great show and given us even more delicious character interaction.
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, double-whammy romance. It is a thoroughly enjoyable, quick read that made my heart full (and my husband happy ).
I love Roberts’ style which brings her charming, funny and spunkyncharacters to life.
This was a cute story or stories. Sweet, Steamy, Romance, Comedy and some Feistiness. Once the romance started is was fast paced. I loved how Bree had enough and put Veronica in her place. Margo and William’s back n forth banter was great!
I received this as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
This is my first read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I love it when a new author. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I really enjoyed this book, it’s really two books in one, or two stories in one but all the characters are in both books so it’s nice to see how their story evolves too.
The difference with this book is that it starts with the couple getting together and then you follow through how they fall in love and start to share their lives together, most books are leading up to this point and then end just as they become a couple so I loved that I got to find out more about them as a couple and the ups and downs they go through.
While I’m not usually one to read a boss romance, this one was a fun read. It was sweet, fast passes romance with plenty of steam. If you’re into boss romances, this is a great start to a series that will surely keep you begging for more.
This is my first book by Halo Roberts and it will not be my last. You actually get two romances in one book. The first is Bree and Nick and then you have. Margo and Williams. I am not going to tell you about the book because I want you to read and feel all the love and romance in this wonderful book. A must read. Enjoy.
A bit about this story.
Brianna has just graduated culinary school and if looking for a place to work. When one of her instructed sets her up with cleaning and cooking for Nick. Things are about to go down. Nick is an art dealer with his own gallery. He doesn’t have much extra time with the and the travel he does, so he asks if there’s anyone who can help him out and gets Brianna in the process.
I am so much in love with Nick. He quiet, aloof, a bit gruff but he cares so much. Raised the only child of rich parents he grew up with nannies and boarding schools not really having the human contact so when he mentions a bit of his past to Bree they starting eating their meals together. Thus begins the start of their friendship of sorts.
The chemistry between these two is Richter scale levels. One night it all changes between them and after that the rest, I’d like to say easy but it’s not. It’s good though. Really, really good. This book Los has a bonus story of Bree’s aunt Margo and Nick’s business partner Williams.
**********************************************************
Margo and Williams’ story moved fast with it. They clashed at first. Total opposites but things turned hickey after a drink at a bar.
Finding they have more in common other than their amazing chemistry, the progression was relatively smooth. They had one drawback but it sorted itself and their relationship was on the fast track.
Nick and Bree have the love story we all wish we could have! I stayed up all night reading it! Awesome book!!
Really enjoyed this story
Finding my Night: a review
We meet Breanna, a culinary school scholar who’s hired as a personal maid, chef and overseer of Nick Mason’s apartment and life. Mr. Mason is a very influential art dealer within the city. He travels a lot on business so Breanna cooks his meals and other things. Nick is dating Veronica Rockford whose daddy buys her everything for his love like a boat, Veroni”bitch”as Breanna calls her. Breanna daydreams about Nick as if they’re in a relationship together.
Veronica surprises Nick at James’s gallery opening. She throws some shade at Bree. In return, Bree throws a tray of cream puffs at Veronica and they hit her hair, face and butt.
That was my favorite part so far.
This book was just as good as Finding My One if not even better. I loved Nick and Bree and their story as well as Ford and Margo ( that by far was my favorite surprise). I recommend this book so so much
Excuse me for a minute while I officially fan-girl and swoon all over Halo Roberts and Finding My Night! This book was a fabulous mix of sweet, romance, steamy scenes and comedy. Roberts nailed it! I found myself smiling, laughing and swooning several times while reading this book.
Nick and Bree start as boss & employee and quickly morph into so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed both characters and thought they were great together. This book is broken up into two parts. I wasn’t expecting that at all but I enjoyed the break up of the story and liked part two just as much as part one!
I wouldn’t let the low overall rating fool you here. I read a few reviews and am honestly shocked by people who said they enjoyed it, would read the next book, and then only gave 3 stars. I don’t understand that mindset at all.
I loved this book, will definitely read the next book and say this is a well deserved 5 star read!
You get a two for one in this book which is totally different from anything I’ve ever read before but in a good way!! I loved both stories with their happily ever afters. Although I do have to admit I absolutely loved Margo and was so glad we got her story and didn’t have to wait. This book was such an easy and fun read. It also covered all the bases…insta-love, age gap, steam, sass and HEA of course. I can’t wait to see where this series goes, the way both stories intertwined was amazing so I have pretty high expectations.
This is the first book in the Finding my series. This story is a delightful, sweet and wonderful read. I truly enjoyed all the characters. It was wonderful written. It has a good storyline. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Interesting, intense, hot. This was off the charts interesting and hot. Breanna goes to work for Nick as his house keeper so to speak. She finds that she is instantly in lust with him upon meeting him. But does Nick feel the same? Things move between them extremely fast. This was a very intense storyline. I did enjoy reading it. Wished it would have been a little longer. I am hoping to get more from these characters and enjoyable storyline
I absolutely loved this book and had a hard time putting it down. From start to finish this book hooked me and had me smiling so hard!! This book has it all, humor, hotness, intense and swoon worthy moments. Finding My Night was a funny, entertaining, fresh, sweet and steamy romance and I highly recommend it.
I loved this book! Two HEAs in one for two couples no one saw coming. Well written, wonderful characters and great romantic storyline.
If you love sweet romance reads I think you’ll truly enjoy Finding my Night.
This is a lighthearted and fun romantic read that is somewhat Cinderella-esque. Beautiful and charming girl cleans the house of the out of reach and handsome artist all while dreaming she was his in an altogether different way.
Finding my Night is a perfect title- when you read, you will find out why. It’s a romantic notion that makes total sense and can be applied in reality.
Sweet story about lovely people and a HEA!
The first part of this book is about Nick and Bree. Bree has been working for Nick for about eight months as his personal chef, she was instantly attracted to him but has kept a professional façade on her to ignore the attraction. Nick owns an art gallery; he is rich, reclusive, friendly to Bree, and helps other in any way he can. Nick is attracted to Bree from the moment he met her and due to the girl he was dating being a spoiled brat he basically dumps her and asks Bree to be his date to an art show. They had an instant attraction and it falls into an instant love which was cute and the story flows nicely and it is a quick and easy read. Part two of this book follows Bree cousin/friend Margo and Nick’s friend/coworker Williams who both stubborn but they have an instant attraction that turns into love. It’s a quick and easy read but it all flows together to turn out for a good read.
This was a fun little story with a story within it! The characters are delightful and I love the whole finding my night aspect of it. It is truly a unique story title and reason for it!
Finding love when you are looking for it can be a challenge, we all know this. When you don’t think you deserve it then you find it, well it is just all the better!
This tale has a few twists and turns that are great and just add to it. I love when the characters talk inside their own heads and sometimes things slip out. There are a lot of cute moments and funny moments but also some truly loving, caring moments.
Another unique thing is that our characters are not completely ‘screwed’ up! They are just like anyone else. I loved that about them. They have insecurities and faults but everyone does.
When you get to part 2 of the book it also has some delightful surprises and fun times.
5 Stars all the way! I truly enjoyed it.
