A sassy chef with a crush on her boss finds herself on a ‘not-a-date’ with him in this hilariously steamy romp. Complete with a problematic socialite, a cream puff fiasco, and a killer dress with a strategic peek of lace, there might also be a man-bun…a pair of dueling best friends…and a wedding…or two. From the day she got the job as Nick’s personal chef, Breanna has been a smitten kitten, … smitten kitten, but she knows the rules. Nick is her boss, he’s gorgeous, rich, and off-limits. Nevermind the beautiful brat, Veronica, hanging on his arm.
Finding himself inconveniently single on the night of an important gallery event, Nick asks Breanna to stand in as his ‘plus one’. What Breanna doesn’t know is that Nick has a crush too, and he’s hoping that this ‘not-a-date’ is anything but business…until Veronica crashes the party.
Two love stories, two HEAs, double the fun! A perfect read for those who want the drama low, the steam high, and the laughs one right after the other.

I love romantic comedy! To me, the deep emotions brought on by a good love story are best balanced by some great comedy–that’s what makes the rom-com so awesome. This debut novel is a wonderful example of what makes this genre so fabulous.
This story features a highly misunderstood man, Nick, who could pose for a Greek statue with his sexy swoony good looks, and has a heart of pure gold. His cook/housekeeper, Bree, secretly melts for her mysterious boss, but is entirely too smart to let that show. She may seem quiet and mousy, but she’s actually full of backbone and bite when necessary. She’s also got a great inner monologue with a penchant for fantasy that kept me giggling throughout the story. Together Bree and Nick find themselves in all kinds of misadventure highlighted by snarky comments, sexual tension, and emotional turmoil. Yahoo. While they tried to work out their HEA they nearly over heated my Kindle. Sweet cuddly kittens, these two could melt the polar ice cap! This read was a definite treat.
