This beautifully written romantic comedy warmed my dark heart
This beautifully written romantic comedy from Author Laura Rossi filled me with all the warm fuzzies that I was needing right at this moment, and I highly recommend it! It’s my first read from her, but it certainly won’t be my last.
No book background from me. I just want to say how much I loved it, that it was perfect for the moment I started reading it, and that anyone who loves novellas absolutely has to fit this in during their lunchtime or evening. It’s as magical as Melodie, our heroine, who draws people to her, and is as pure-hearted as her words. To good to be true, well yes, and that is what I loved so much about this book. It’s also beautifully rounded out with Melodies’ room-mates, Mike and John, a cheeky couple whose humour absolutely compliments our girl. One of my favourite scenes was these two guys checking out Isaac when they first met him
I was already loving the book, and I honestly thought this was a first person POV; being told by Melodie, until chapter eight when I saw the magic word, ‘ISAAC’, that completely filled my heart. Dual POV’s are my absolute favourite, and to hear from Isaac made an already beautiful and witty rom-com become just perfect. Isaac’s words were the icing on this veritable cake of romance, “this Pixie came along and worked her magic. … Melodie, the pink-haired magic lady. The one that had made me smile on one of the worst days of my life.” Muah!
Now, would you be surprised if I mentioned that Author Laura Rossi also writes dark romances???? For real! It was how I found her, and while I’ve added one of her dark reads to my burgeoning TBR, my heart really needed a lift before I headed into my next heavy book. And holy crap, she did it in spades.
For anyone who loves novellas, beautiful sweet and heart-healing books and don’t have much time to squeeze one in, then FINDING MELODIE from Ms Rossi is for you. 5-Stars

This was a short, sweet novella from Laura Rossi. I’ve read all of Laura’s books to date, and with each book, I find her writing getting stronger. Finding Melody was a sweet romance. A quick read. You’ll be able to read it in one sitting like I just did. I loved the story between Melody and Isaac. It was a story I could see where it was going, but with the magic backdrop of London, a nice story, and two addictive characters, well I didn’t care that I knew how it was going to end.
Well done, Laura! A definite must read for all romance readers.
She is in love with a man she sees a lot of the time but he has no idea. Then one day he comes up to her. What will happen? Will he fall in love with her? See if he will

I totally fell for Melodie and Office Guy!
This is a quick read that flowed perfectly. Melodie, the free-spirited artist who is always falling for her next charity case. Office Guy, the nerdy banker who has his lunch in the park everyday.
Can these two strangers, who have been seeing each other for a while, actually become more than Office Guy and Pixie?
I’m so glad Laura decided to publish this amazing little nugget of writing! Great quick, sweet read that makes you wish for your own “HEA” if you don’t already have one. I love Melodie’s kind, generous heart and Isaac…I’ll take one of him anytime!
“I don’t want you to call me, I want you to find me. You know where to find me, Isaac.”
This was such a cute story!! I loved it!! The straight laced, nerdy bean counter meets the quirky pixie with pink hair and a tongue piercing. Polar opposites yet so well suited for each other.
Melodie is in love with “Office Guy”. Every day he comes to listen to her play her guitar and sing on the banks of the river near the bridge. Every day he tips her and leaves without saying a word. Until one day, he asks her for a favor – play a certain song while he proposes to his girlfriend. That one favor sends them both on a path of friendship, self-discovery, and romance. But, is there heartache in her future? Will her altruistic heart leave her broken once more? Or could this time be different?
Isaac had it all planned out. Work hard, get the promotion, marry his girl. But, even the best laid plans can go to crap. Melodie wasn’t planned though. She’s beautiful, and funny, and makes him realize that he’s lost part of himself somewhere along the way. Can he find his way back? Can he fix what went wrong? Will he finally see the truth before it’s too late?
This was a shorter read, but so, so good. It’s a heartwarming story, the characters are great, and you’ll find yourself routing for both of them. Love it, and I’d recommend it to everyone!!
This story will have you giggling and turning the page non stop from beginning until the very end. Melodie is a woman that acts with her heart above all and she just so open to love and life. When she sets out to help “office guy” with his relationship both of their lives will never be the same. Hearing the tale through Melodie’s eyes for most of the book was wonderful, I felt as though I was experiencing it all myself. This was such a lighthearted, enjoyable read that you will fall in love with these characters instantaneously. Highly recommended you add this to your TBR list and once click. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
A refreshing, romantic and lighthearted novella!
I absolutely love, love, love this book. The characheters are sooo adorable. I kept chuckling at the unspoken dialogue Melodie had with herself and read most of the book with a smirk on my face, with more than a few laugh out loud moments. This story left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. Highly recommended.
I loved Melodie’s personality. Her and office but were a great match. You think Office guy who is just a nerdy guy in a suit. But after office hours Melodie discovers her and office guy have more than in common than she thought. I plan on reading more by the author.
I love this book, my little Italian spitfire shows us her inner sass in this short romcom. It might be a short read but it’s packed with wit, sass, lust, a little bit of stalking and love, making Finding Melodie a complete page turner
Melodie loves her music, she’s also a big softie with a heart of gold who loves an happily ever after. She’d love it to be her HEA even more.
Office Guy finally mans up and talks to her, her being a sucker she jumps right in.
Will Melodie get her own HEA?
Finding Melodie was a really cute story. Melodie plays her guitar outside of Office Guy’s office every day. She crushes on him from a far. When he asks her to play a song while he proposes to his girlfriend, their lives take a change. I love Melodie’s character! Her willingness to help Office Guy get his uptight girlfriend back, even while she falls for him, was totally endearing. I read it in one sitting. Great story!
What a wonderful lighted and fun perfect mash up that finds a way to grab you and have you reading till the end.
Melodie is a pink haired, green eyed gorgeous 27 yr old musician who busks daily in a spot just under The London Eye. She observes all those round her, giving them quirky names, that’s where she spots him, “Office Guy” the good looking, tall, lanky man with the strong and chiselled features and the sweet kind eyes.
This is a beautiful story about staying true to you, about following your dreams and opening your eyes to things that really matter.
A sweet romance novella that have you thinking and leave you happy. Melodie sings at the same spot everyday and starts to imagine office guy is more than what he is that is until he speaks to her and asks for her help. Being the Melodie everyone knows she goes out her way to help but is that just as dangerous as she starts to like him even more. I loved this story it showing being with someone for the wrong reasons when it should be for the right reasons and for yourself happiness as well. A must read beautifully writing story I’d highly recommend.
This was an adorably sweet story about a young and aspiring musician and a kind and generous guy who meet briefly every weekday. One day, he asks her a favor and she willing obliges; pleased to help him, she witnesses a crushing event that should have been filled of happiness. Considering Isaac her “office guy,” Melodie wants to help him regain confidence and self-esteem and in the process begins falling in love. Worthy!
