One of three sisters, a mother, and a wife, Sheena Morelli re-discovers the woman she really is… the hotel to receive guests within that year. Sheena, eager to escape her role of unappreciated wife and mother, can’t wait for the opportunity to find herself. Dreams of sitting on the beach sipping margaritas are shattered when they see the property is in need of renovation. But they begin their work of meeting the challenge. If they succeed, the bulk of Gavin’s estate will be theirs. Facing the unexpected, working together, the three sisters learn a lot about each other and the gift of family love.
A beach read with heart… Be sure to read the other books in the series: Finding My Way, Finding Love, and Finding Family.

I really enjoyed this book, maybe because I also have two sisters. It would so interesting to be in their situation.
Currently waiting for the sequel.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Three sisters with very different personalities but who love each other. Spoiled teenagers who have large hearts hidden under their exteriors. Good times, bad times but they all pull through. Look forward to reading the next one in the series.
Good characters, an interesting exploration of family relationships, esp. sisters, and mothers-children. Interesting plot twists, but also a bit too conventional a plot sometimes. romance nicely handled, not too steamy.
I liked the family situation and how hard the 3 sisters were working to accomplish and improve what was given to them. The mother of the 2 teens had very good ethics and demanded good quality from her children.
Really enjoyed this book. The challenge for the Sullivan sisters was insiteful.
Started slow but ended well!
Easy to read and I enjoy the characters and their growth. I will actually be purchasing the others in this series.
I see that Judith Keim has just released number four in this series. I started the series on Finding Me and loved it! This is a story set against the back drop of renovating and bringing life back into an old hotel. The real action is around the renovation and rejuvenation of relationships. Its a story about learning to understand and love the people closest to you and taking time to see that other peoples lives may not be all that they seem. The characters are marvelous here, you will feel you’ve made new friends and you’ll be rushing out to buy the next one in the series!
I totally enjoyed reading this book. It was an easy read with a wonderful cast of characters .
The main characters are three sisters who come together to complete a challenge. In the process they come to find more about themselves and each other.
I liked the characters as they all have a story that are slowly revealed. The story in written in each of the sisters vouces. This is a technique that I like.
Thank you to #Wild Quail Publications through #Netgalley for granting my request. The opinions expressed in this review are mine.
I loved it! I love each of her book in the series!
When their estranged uncle passes away and gives them a hotel in Florida, Sheena, Regan, and Darcy think they have hit the jackpot. In order to keep the hotel and a large inheritance, the sisters must live on the premises for one year leaving behind their families, jobs, and security.
Upon arrival in Florida, they realize that the luxury hotel they thought they were getting, actually is a rundown resort that needs lots of repairs. They have also inherited Uncle Gavin’s group of friends that he is permitting to live on the premises. Sheena finds that working on the hotel is pulling her family (still in Boston) apart. Regan and Darcy seem to be fighting over the same guys while also trying to show that they are mature and have hidden talents.
This book is the first in the Salty Key Inn series by the Judith Keim. While some of the story has questions answered, you are left hanging (to read the next book) to see what happens with the hotel and its unlikely residents. This book is about each sister trying to discover what they want out of life as well as working together to form a strong bond and more loving relationships.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Self Discovery on the Gulf Coast
This is a wonderful piece of women’s literature. It is about discovering one’s self and rediscovering one’s self. It about rejecting the opinion of others, looking in the mirror and seeing who is looking back. The story is well done and leads into the next of the series without having any type of cliff hanger. All of the character development is quite believable, I am looking forward to more of the background stories being told in future books. I received this book for free and this is my honest review.
Finding Me (Salty Key Inn Series #1) by author Judith Keim is a delightful story about three sisters who jointly inherit a rundown hotel in west Florida. There is a stipulation to be followed, the sisters must agree to get the hotel renovated and earning money by the end of the first year or they will not receive the balance of the money waiting in the inheritance. They have no idea how much money their uncle, Gavin Sullivan, has put aside for them if they are successful. He has left some basic instructions and a modest allowance for them with his friend and advisor in order to help them if they decide to accept the challenge. They will learn they not only are responsible for planning, designing, and working within a very tight budget, but there are eight people their uncle befriended and are allowed to live at the hotel as long as they help run the restaurant and help with the hotel renovations. This experience is supposed to be a ‘life-lesson’ for the girls!
Sheena is the oldest sister with a husband and two teenage kids who live in Boston. The second sister is Darcy, a wiz at her IT job is easy to convince. Regan is the youngest and she is ready for a challenge. She is a beauty and has never been challenged for her intelligence, but always considered the pretty but dumb sister.
The three girls agree and start the challenge set before them. It is far from easy and they are presented with many problems and disappointments. This was a fun book to read and think about all the decisions the girls had to make along the way. The book ends before the first year is up, so you will be hooked and will want to read the next in the series, also.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is the first book in the series. 3 sisters inherit a hotel on the Gulf coast of Florida. But it comes with strings attached. The hotel needs a lot of work and they must get it ready to receive guests in 3 years and then the hotel and the bulk of their uncle’s estate will be theirs. They must live together for one year at the hotel and prepare the hotel to receive guests within a year.
Sheena Sullivan Morelli is the oldest sister. She is a wife and mother of 2, who has to leave her family behind and move to Florida for a year. The story shows us, the challenges they face, the things they learned, and the ups and downs of starting out their new journey. It was a book that kept me reading. I added inspirational for what I liked about the book. 3 sisters taking a leap of faith and reading how the journey was going was inspiring to me.
Great book
So nice to have a great read without a lot of sex in it for a change. My new favorite author.
Finding me is the first book of the salty key series. The Sullivan sisters inherit a hotel on the Gulf shores in Florida from their “black sheep” Uncle Gavin Sullivan.
The stipulation is that they all three live together and work it getting it ready to receive guests within one year. Meeting a lot of challenges along the way. I really enjoyed this story and am ready for part two!
The story and characters really grabbed my attention. Not the most literary writing but very entertaining. The plot of the book is intriguing, however, this book does not tell the whole story. I have had to purchase two sequels in order to follow the story and I am afraid there is one more I have to buy before I know how it ends. So I would not recommend reading this book unless you are prepared to buy three more books in order to get the whole story.
Great, fun read!
