In the town where Christmas lives year round, the new year promises a new beginning, a new life, and renewed hope for two lonely hearts….In the past, Christmas had been anything but joyous for Kiki Long. Born into a prominent family, her parents sold her the family home years ago and moved to California, leaving her alone in her hometown, where Christmas never sleeps. This was a delightful tale of two people who knew each other in high school but come together years later. Kiki went through high school in an Emo phase. Taren was the typical jock during high school. He played sports and was dating the cheerleader/homecoming queen.
The copy that I received was an ARC and had several typos, wrong words, grammar… I also couldn’t figure out the timing. Kiki was a junior in high school to Taren’s senior. While Taren proposed to his high school sweetheart (Scarlet), no mention as to when they were married but Taren rejected going to college on his scholarship to care for his then 6 week old baby, Abby when Scarlet abandoned them. But in this story, Kiki was 21. That would make Taren 22. Abby was 6 so I really couldn’t figure out the timeline.
Putting the above paragraph aside, I really enjoyed the story. It made for a wonderful escape from life for a few hours. This book was also written in my favorite dual POV format. I love getting into the characters’ mind to read their thoughts. That really helps me to understand their actions and speech so much better during a scene.
I would recommend this to anyone as it was a sweet, clean romance.
This is a sweet romance set in Christmas Cove where everyone celebrates the holiday and it’s hard to feel like celebrating when your family moved leaving Kiki on her own and Taren is left after his ex wife left with his child. Loved how they found each other and were perfect together.
The second book in the Christmas Cove series a well written second chance story with a very good storyline. I enjoyed seeing Kiki Long and firefighter Taren Davis and his daughter Abby’s story come together.
This series has been so beautiful every story has such wonderful characters and I’m so glad I found this author. Kiki and Taren knew each other in high school but back then Taren married his high school sweetheart but she left him to raise their daughter and years later he and Kiki meet each other again on Christmas Eve. Kiki and Taren are starting to fall for each other when Taren’s ex wife comes back to caise problems and that she does will Kiki and Taren get their happily ever after read the story and find out. I loved their story and Abby is too cute for words.

A sweet, clean romance bringing us back to the lovely town of Christmas Cove. I admit to falling in fall with single dad Taren myself. I love how it treated his Mother and his daughter Abby and to top it off he’s a sexy firefighter. Circumstances bring high school friend Kiki back into his life. When Taren’s ex-wife returns to Christmas Cove Kiki and Taren’s relationship is at risk. Will love prevail or will misunderstandings keep them apart? Another heartwarming story as magical as Christmas itself. Looking forward to my next visit to Christmas Cove.
I love small town romance and Christmas Cove is no exception. Kiki and Taren were friends in high school. I enjoyed how they got together years later. Abby is a great addition and makes the story.
It was great getting to know Kiki more after meeting her in the first book and she definitely deserves a bit of love in her life, but I also get her being wary of Taren. Thank god Taren and Kiki have Taren’s Mum to meddle otherwise I am not sure what would have happened, I did get a bit confused about Taren and Kiki’s ages as Taren’s daughter is six, but Taren and Kiki had study group together in school, however she also went to school with Jocelyn who is twenty one. This is a sweet story of a two people who get after growing up a bit get a second chance at love and an opportunity to really get to know each other either though there is insta love they are both wary. I would have loved to know why Taren’s ex came to town and what the go was with wanting to go to the ball as this was all left unanswered?

I really liked the story. It would make a good Hallmark movie. Taren’s first love fell apart but have him Abby. Kiki is a very easy going woman. I liked how their romance built from a friendship in HighSchool. I really did enjoy the book but this book really needed some reviewing before being printed. So many story line errors. Some of the story lines did not make sense or stay consistent. *Scarlet left when Abby was 6 weeks old and they had not heard from her. Yet Taren says that he did not want to fall in love and put Abby through what Scarlett did to her. At 6 weeks old she would not remember her mom leaving and with her dad and grandma she would miss having a mom but she seems ok in the story.
*If Taren Played football with Mr. White in school and Taren and Kiki went to school together so you think she would know Mr. White? Fernando clue who he is.
*Also if Taren has been living with his mom since Abby was a baby and her grandma and Kiki both helped out at the same places plus the town does not seem to that big how could they miss seeing each other for 6 years?
*Taren and Abby come to the hospital to watch a football game but the next day Taren is introducing Kiki to Abby as if they had never met.Abby points out they met Christmas Eve at the Children’s house.
*So the day she is leaving the hospital Jocelyn says she will.Go get Kiki’s car for her. Kiki gives her the car keys ! Where did they come from? The only thing she had on was a night gown.
*When leaving the hospital she also put the money from her dad in her purse? Where did the purse come from?
It is as if who ever wrote this had no recollection of what happened in the story before that part was wrote.
In high school Taren Davis was the all star football star. He was dating the head cheerleader and eventually went on to marry her and even went off to college to pursue his football…at least this is the path Kiki Long believed her old friend went.
However, Kiki soon learns how wrong she was about the path her friend took. After graduating high school he did marry his high school sweetheart and they ended up starting a family early. But soon after she walked away leaving Taren and Abby alone.
Now Taren is the fire chief and living to ensure his daughter has everything she could want, while also protecting her from any pain that others could cause, including her own mother.
On Christmas Eve Kiki and Taren have a chance meeting when he rescues her from a house fire. Soon feelings start to stir between the two once again. Feelings that Kiki also acknowledged, but never believed she was in the same league as Taren.
Will Kiki and Taren finally have their chance together?
I didn’t really care too much for this one. Honestly, I felt that the author left quite a bit unanswered for me.
Why did the ex really come back? What was so important about attending the Fireman’s Ball…especially that year that she was willing to sell out the opportunity to see her daughter. It’s not like the Fireman’s Ball was described as only happening once every couple of years. It’s an annual event.
Did Kiki’s parents ever come to see her after the fire? Did they seriously not care of understand that they could’ve lost their daughter?
This is the second book that I have read in the Christmas Cove series and I loved it! Once again I wanted to keep reading, to see what would happen next. The people of Christmas Cove are so loving and caring. I can’t wait to start reading the next book in this series! If you have never read any books by Theresa Oliver, I highly recommend you give one a try…
this book was amazing! she is left alone after her family moves away. he is a firefighter rasing his daughter after his ex wife left.a fire happens that could bring these two together. read to find out what happens.
A beautifully written book. A great book fir all romance lovers. The story of two people finding love after so many years, they finally get their happy ending. Really wish Christmas Cove was real.
Such a sweet, clean great romance. Loved that kiki and taran get a second chance at love. Great holiday romance.
The story line is sappy romantic which I absolutely love. There are twist as the book progresses, but in the end all works out. Her fantastic ability to describe things creates an almost movie like experience as you read. I look forward to reading through the Christmas Cove series of books!
Finding Love in Christmas Cove
Good Christmas story with some twists and turns and also miscommunications before the end
Another magical festive story that warmed my heart and put a smile on my face. I adored the characters and loved watching as their relationship blossomed.
Kiki is alone for Christmas this year. During an unfortunate accident, she becomes homeless. Taren can’t believe he meets up with an old friend when he rescues her. They rekindle their friendship as sparks of love start flying around. What will the holiday season bring?
I love Christmas Cove! I so wish I was able to visit the little town and it’s people. This book has a lot of the things I love about romance reads. Friends to lovers, second chance, and a single dad all in one. Not to mention a crazy ex wife. I cant wait for the next book!
Book 2 in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. Sweet romance and its clean. Sweet holiday romances are so fun to read around the holiday and just whenever you wanna feel light-hearted. Kiki and Taren knew each other when they were young. Circumstances led them on different paths. Kiki is alone and no family close by anymore. Taren married the wrong woman and on Christmas Eve things change when they cross paths. Can these 2 find their HEA?
