Two fractured hearts and a forbidden love they can’t deny. You shouldn’t want what you can’t have… wealthy uncle, his fashion-empire-owning wife, and their seven screwed-up sons is quickly turning into a nightmare—especially when certain inappropriate feelings arise.
Kyler Kennedy makes her head hurt and her heart race, but he’s her cousin.
He’s off limits.
And he’s not exactly welcoming—Kyler is ignorant, moody, and downright cruel at times—but Faye sees behind the mask he wears, recognizing a kindred spirit.
Kyler has sworn off girls, yet Faye gets under his skin. The more he pushes her away, the more he’s drawn to her, but acting on those feelings risks a crap-ton of prejudice, and any whiff of scandal could damage the precious Kennedy brand.
Concealing their feelings seems like the only choice.
But when everyone has something to hide, a secret is a very dangerous thing.
“Being a fan of the Royals series and the Fallen Crest series this book had everything I love – drama, mystery, betrayal, love, friendship, and the bond of family.” ★★★★★ Emma. Goodreads Reviewer.

This is a totally taboo romance full of family drama, teenage angst, and so many twists that my head is still spinning. The book ends on a totally shocking cliffhanger too. That being said, I still couldn’t put it down. My emotions were all over the place with this story.
Faye has lost her parents in a terrible tragedy and finds her life being uprooted from Ireland to Massachusetts in America to live with an uncle that she didn’t know she had. The Kennedy’s are a big family with seven sons and are very wealthy. She’s a strong character and stands her ground.
Kyler is a bad boy and a big jerk at first. He’s been hurt in the past and takes it out on everyone around him. He has an instant attraction to Faye and she sees through his walls to who he is inside.
When this book released, Siobhan Davis was a new author to me. And I wasn’t sure why I was just now hearing about her at that point. Her assistant contacted me asking if I’d review an early copy of her next release, Finding Kyler, in a new series she was debuting. I was immediately interested after reading the blurb and was truly excited to read a new author (new to me).
I can’t sing enough high praises about Finding Kyler. Yes, some people will find the plot line to be taboo, but that’s what drew me in. I love the taboo and shocking story lines. I love it when a plot goes against the norm and pushes boundaries. I feel that the stories are more unique and authors are able to open up more in their creativity. And I just flat out love how Siobhan writes this story. She starts this series off beautifully and hits the ground running.
” ‘My family is gone. They’re never coming back. And I’m trying to find a way of existing when sometimes I feel as dead as them on the inside.’ “
In Finding Kyler, we get to meet all the Kennedy boys plus their parents. We get a glimpse into each of the boys, and there are ALOT of them. And let me tell you, their gene pool came from the Gods because they are equally hot in their own way. Bu in Finding Kyler, we dig deeper into Kyler and Faye’s lives. Faye is thrust into a new world when she is forced to move in with her uncle and aunt whom she never knew existed. Kyler is being a typical brooding teenage male and going through his first heartbreak. Sounds like typical, normal teenage garbage, right? That’s where you’d be wrong. Let’s just Finding Kyler is Gossip Girl meets O.C. And I FUCKING LOVE IT!! It’s my guilty pleasure in a book!!!
“The truth always finds a way to out itself.”
What I absolutely love in this book, is how Siobhan writes these characters. You get an understanding that there is alot more going on underneath the smoke and mirrors that the Kennedy’s show everyone. Each of them is battling their own demons and issues, including the mom and dad. And appereances are everything to the Kennedy’s. Faye is slowly developing her own relationships with each of her cousins and relating to them in different ways. Faye is trying to find her place in this new world, without losing who she is. And in this high society, when you are already a target before you’ve even be able to make move, defending yourself becomes a whole new battle.
“Alone, we both suffer in this world. Together, we can conquer it.”
All I can say is, Siobhan has me completely hooked on this series. I am curious as to what her other books and series are about. Siobhan is very talented and keeps her readers in the story, never wanting to stop. I can’t wait til the next book comes out. She threw us one hell of a doozy at the end of this book, so I really hope we aren’t kept waiting too long.
Finding Kyler is a phenomenal start to what I know will be one hell of a great series!!
I could read and reread books by Siobhan Davis a million times and never tire of them. Finding Kyler is no exception. It’s so much. Twists and turns you could never imagine, its like…how can she even think some of these things up. Where does she get these ideas. She’s not afraid to touch on the risky subjects no one would broach. Finding Kyler is a love story like none other. Siobhan takes you for a ride you can’t resist…even after reading it once…even twice. I felt all feels: sadness beyond repair, happiness with no bounds, laughter raiding pure sunshine. I laughed so hard I thought I might bust a gut, cried like a girl with my first heart break and swooned with all the Kennedy boys sex appeal…especially Kyler’s hot and cold demeanor. So grab some tissues and get ready for the ride you never realized you wanted to take, curl up with a BIG glass of wine and a fluffy blanket…then enjoy the first look at all these amazing characters…because there is so much more to come!!!!!
This book left me gasping! Needing to know more! It was hot and intense! This authors writing style is impeccable. She has a way with words!
This is a good book til you get to the part where they are half brother and sister, it was good til that happened.
Before i put this review up i read some of what other reviewers had wrote about this book. According to them it bares similarities to another book Paper Princess but considering ive never read that book my review is solely based on what i think about this book. Which is this
When both of Faye’s (FMC) parents die in a car accident at the beginning of this book she finds out about a whole lot of family she never knew about. An Uncle and 7 sons. Moving to another continent, a new family and a new school all bring on there own complications. Bullies, belonging, dysfunctional families as well as unconventional love this book is chock full of it all & blimey its a great read. The cliffhanger ending was killer too. Shocked the hell out of me thats for sure!
Omg this book was so amazing. I loved it so much. It was filled with so much drama and angst. The Kennedy’s are one crazy family, but they will always have each other’s backs. This was a roller coaster of a read and I’m still experiencing an adrenaline high. Siobhan had so many twists and turns my head is still spinning.
I highly recommend this book.
What a journey poor Faye has had her world turned upside down . She is struggling to find her place and it becomes an emotional time, as she navigates this new life she now lives in. Bring the Kennedy boy’s in to the mix and it drama and trouble with a capital T. There’s is hurt, anger, fustration, lust, love, loyality, friendship and devastation. This is an amazing start to the series. With a major cliffhanger.
The cliffhanger in this first book in the Trilogy took my breath away. Kyler and Faye are so tortured! Both have lived completely different upbringings but their pasts sure start to collide, totally didn’t what happened to happened! Gosh, I’m buying this next book right now so I can get more of their story! Hard to put this down!
OMG! Kent is one of Triplets and the focus in this finally Kennedy brothers series.
Talk about an engrossing page turner that’s in depth and well developed. The feelings and emotions are palpable and realistic. I felt I was their there and actually part of.
Each book brings new dimensions to the Kennedy brothers and has them having my back, and instant unconditional love as support.
*I was given a copy and am voluntarily giving my honest review.
This books is insane!!
I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put this book down!! Why has it taken me so long to start this series!!!!!
This book is action packed, emotional, interesting, mysterious, has secrets, lies and amazing characters that you can’t help wanting to know more about and unravel.
Ky and Faye are amazing for each other, they understand one another on a deeper level and want to be the one to help the other deal with their demons but within the Kennedy Family there’s already so much turmoil going on that it’s one thing after another and then a bombshell is flung on them all and their already fragile and forbidden relationship is once again on the line!!
I’ve already downloaded the next book and can’t wait to see what happens next!!
A MUST READ!!
OMG! This is a super angsty novel. It ran with forbidden romance, and didn’t let go. I loved how strong Faye is. She is willing to fight for her family and friends. Ky is the ultimate bad boy who finds his soul mate in someone he can’t have. The twists and turns of this book kept me guessing, and I never guessed the end.
Siobhan has never shied away from the taboo topics and she delivered this one beautifully! A book full of pain, secrets, and one crazy messed up family! Kyler and Faye are definitely a forbidden romance but they can’t hide their love forever. They have a ton to overcome if they will ever have a chance at happily ever after.
Finding Kyler is book one in The Kennedy Brothers serial and first of a three-book sequence based on Kyler & Faye’s story and don’t get me wrong I though it was going to be too much of a YA for me, but boy was I wrong, so much I devoured Kyler’s books and working through them all!
Kyler is part of the Kennedy clan, his mother spearheading the infamous Kennedy apparel brand and they‘re all used to being in the limelight.
Faye however is a grief stricken YA, who’s just lost her parents in a car crash and suddenly introduced to an ‘American’ Uncle did know existed, as she’s still months from her 18th birthday she has no choice but to uproot and travel halfway across the world to the Kennedy mansion, where she meets seven cousins she also didn’t know she had.
Kyler, being the closest in age, took an instant interest in his new ‘cousin’ but with demons of his own and a major chip on his shoulders they clash immediately.
This book although touches on the forbidden ‘kissing cousins’ is an exceptional introduction to the dynamics of the family, full of secrets and twists and with a cliffhanger, leading us into Losing Kyler -book two – one I couldn’t put down or wait to jump into book two.
Absolutely loving it Siobhan!
Ummmm WOW!!!!!!!
Drama, suspense, sexual tension, drama, romance, forbidden/enemies to lovers, and did I mention drama?!
Faye is ripped out of her world and Country by a drunk driver and whisked away to America to a family she never knew she had.
Kyler is an absolute “Richard” that tends to grate on my nerves, in the beginning. His attitude needs a swift kick to the rear end.
This book is a forbidden love, enemies to lovers drama that completely caught me off guard. This is the first in a trilogy and the first in a long line of Kennedy brothers to follow. It touches on all the brothers personalities and teases you with what could possibly happen with their story while wreaking havoc on your heart with Faye and Kyler.
Be prepared to have the second book on hand when you finish this one, because it’s a doozie!!!!
Well played Siobhan, well played!!!!
For the first time in ages, I actually saw a twist coming. This gives me a whole lot of Paper Princess vibes with more kids and a lot more taboo. Bring on the next one.

Wow! I have a serious book hangover!
Finding Kyler is the first book in The Kennedy Boys series written by author Siobhan Davis. It tells the story of Faye Donovan and Kyler Kennedy, and it’s full of angst, drama, steam, and forbidden love! Since this is the first book in a series, be prepared for it to end with a cliffhanger. And boy, it’s a doozy!
The story begins with Faye in her lawyer’s office in Ireland. Her parents passed away tragically, and she’s now learning that she has an uncle that lives in Massachusetts. Moving to the states is one thing that she’d rather not do, but she has no choice. Faye soon learns that her aunt and uncle have seven boys, and they’re very rich. Most of her cousins give her a hard time, but she’s very strong-minded and has no trouble standing up for herself.
The storyline is gripping with many twists and turns! Seriously, I felt like I was on a rollercoaster ride, and that last chapter was jaw-dropping!
I cannot wait to tear into the next book, Losing Kyler!
Voluntarily Reviewed a Gifted Copy
I didn’t start this series at the beginning and now I am going back to catch up. And this book has so much going on with Faye that you will so much sadness for her broken heart. She has lost her parents and is moving from Ireland to live with her only living relative. Her mother’s brother is James Kennedy, husband to Alex Kennedy, queen of fashion. And she meets all seven of her cousins that she never knew she had.
Kyler is a brooding alpha male that doesn’t acknowledge Faye, doesn’t even speak to her. But the more he tries to stay away from her, the more the invisible string pulls them together. He does all he can to protect his brothers and he is beginning to feel that protection for Faye.
How will Faye and Kyler deal with these feelings they have for each other? Will the mean girls at school continue to bully Faye? What will happen with the secret that James reveals in the end?
I have to say that I was not expecting that bombshell that was dropped at the end and I can not wait to read the next one to see what happens. I love author Siobhan Davis and her writing style, she has a way of telling a high school bully story that makes you want to help the one being bullied by climbing in your kindle and slapping the bully upside the head.
*Please note this book contains a forbidden love theme featuring first cousins and a cliff hanger. It is not a standalone read.
****I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
4.5 Hearts
Finding Kyler is the first book in the Kennedy Boys series. It is also Siobhan Davis’ debut novel and it was impressive. With the amount of characters involved I thought I would get confused especially with all of the brothers’ names starting with the letter K. But surprisingly, with the family tree in the beginning of the book it really helped. This isn’t just Kyler and Faye’s story, this family is one for the books…
Faye only had her parents growing up and now they are gone. She was only a few months away from being an adult so she set her plan but that all changed when she found out that she has an uncle that her mother kept secret. She was now leaving her home of Ireland to Boston, Massachusetts to live with the family she never knew. This includes not only her uncle but his wife and their seven teenage boys. She was nervous but she knew she would adjust. Then she gets hit with the fact that they are The Kennedys. Of Kennedy Apparel. A multi-billion dollar fashion line. So she wasn’t only being thrown into a new world but it was going to be a wealthy one. One that she knows absolutely nothing about. She was told by her Uncle James that his family was excited about meeting their cousin but when she shows up, it’s not exactly with open arms especially when it comes to Her cousin Kyler. And when he warns her that she doesn’t belong with this fucked up family, she is shocked by his statement. He doesn’t want her there but from that moment, she felt something. Something she shouldn’t feel towards her cousin. Attraction.
Faye has been around drama but this is craziness. The family has their own issues. Each of the boys have their own personalities but they have one thing in common: they don’t respect their parents. They have their reasons. She doesn’t get it. Her uncle and aunt seem nice enough and their children don’t look like they are lacking for anything. She figures with having a successful empire and having seven children, it can cause some stress. Kyler warned her the family was fucked up but with each passing day, she starts to see why. She also discovers that her mom wasn’t always truthful.
Now…for the attraction to Kyler. He is an asshole. He also has a sweet side. He is a complex seventeen year old that she shouldn’t want. But her mind and body are not on the same page. Kyler also feels the attraction between them so it’s not just a confusing emotion for her. But, it’s forbidden. It’s not illegal but it would cause scandal towards the family. And The Kennedys have enough. Because of this attraction it causes them both happiness and hurt. And Kyler also has an ex-girlfriend that he has to deal with. And as soon as she meets Faye, she wants to ruin her. She feels threatened by the new girl. The drama is thick with these three.
Ok…I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the “kissing cousins” vibe but it didn’t bother me. Maybe it’s because I love a forbidden romance. It also helped that it was detailed in certain aspects of the relationship. I also think it was because they didn’t grow up together. They didn’t even know about one another. They could have been in a club and hooked up and never would have known until she met his parents of course. I found myself actually wanting them together.
I thought the book was addictive. I am in my mid-thirties but I have and still do watch a good share of teen dramas. I think that was why I was sucked in. With seven wealthy and good looking teenagers I knew there would be some drama and damn. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I think Siobhan did an amazing job at keeping it interesting. I also liked that the boys are all different. Kalvin “the player” cracked me up with his over the top flirty ways. Keaton is the joker of the group but also very protective. Those two stood out the most to me, well besides Kyler but the others were there too.
Overall…it’s a great debut. It’s full of drama, love, scandal, dysfunction, secrets and lies. I will definitely be reading the next book.
Quotes:
“Don’t flatter yourself. You’re the first specimen of prime American A-hole I’ve seen. I wanted to memorize the form so I know what to avoid the next time.”
A reminder of all that is forbidden.
“Relax, Mary Sue.” He holds both hands up in the air. “I’ll be a good boy now. But make this snappy so I can attend to business.”
Thanks so much to the author for a copy to read and offer my opinion. So this book felt like a train wreck ready to happen. Fate brings Faye and Kyler together but it looks like family will tear them apart.
What did I like? This author is known for holding her cards close until the cliffhanger or the sequel. Faye comes to the United States because her parents were killed and since she’s not 18, she gets to live with her uncle. Only family life here is straight jacket worthy. Very little for Faye to do besides just hold on for the ride but her feelings for Kyler are complicated.
Would I buy this or recommend? There is a ton of angst not to mention a ton of things going on but for the first book that’s the usual. Can’t wait for part two. This book was enjoyable and I’d definitely continue the series!
Thanks so much for a copy, four stars!
