Justice Weathers has his hands full with the ranch and his twin boys. A widower whose love life is pretty much non-existent and maybe that’s for a reason. His family doesn’t seem to have much luck with happily-ever-after. Sex? That’s something an ex-rodeo bad boy can handle. Love ‘em and leave’em.He’s not looking for love. Heck he runs from it.He might have a bit of running to do. Someone’s on … do. Someone’s on her way to Cotton Creek and when she gets there she’s gonna stir up a whole lot of feelings he’s spent the last three years trying to forget.
Yeah, that bit about nothing ever happening in Cotton Creek? So wrong.

I just finished listening to the Audiobook of Finding Justice. I actually read Finding Justice about 3 years ago. Listening to the Audiobook reminds me why I love Ciana Stone’s writing. Her cowboy heroes are swoon-worthy and her heroines are mostly strong independent women. But like us all, flaws are there too. Action, adventure, fun and loving ensue! I love the town of Cotton Creek and its quirky inhabitants! J. Scott Bennett narrated this tome. His voice is a bit husky at times but fits in so well with the story and many of the characters. I really enjoyed his narration.
I listened to the Audiobook. The narration was ok. I think Justice was in his mid to late 30’s, maybe 40 yo. The narration for Justice gave me the sense that he was an older man. The Justice voice sounded as old as the voice of his father, Jason. That have me a different picture of Jo and Justice together. I just could not picture a younger version of Justice with the associated voice. I did think the narrator did a good job on the female voices.
Justice was not my favorite H. Why he would blame Jo because he couldn’t man up is beyond me. Not to mention he never told her he was married. No matter how scrappy his marriage was at the time, he KNEW, and Jo had no clue. When the choking incident came up, I kept waiting for his dad to come to the door, for someone to see or hear something, for a mark to be on her neck, etc. something. This entire incident was ignored. Justice may have apologized for the choking, but I missed it if he did.
Jo had a really tough path to walk in this book. I have to say that she was a tough, strong, forgiving, intelligent person who was willing to put others first.
I guess J.D. apologized enough to make Jo happy, and her stipulations allowed them to end up with their HEA.
I voluntarily listened to and reviewed the Audio version of this book received from the author.
What a story! A perfect second chance love story with some drama and suspense added to it. I loved everything about this book as well as the series to far. Great writing and fantastic narration!
J.D. and Jolene have history and meeting again may not be a good thing. Although things heat up between them pretty fast, it’s not necessarily in a good way. This is a tale that carries a lot of emotions, and when an unexpected element of danger is introduced, it’ll keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s an exciting and, at times, gripping love story that will keep you involved from start to finish. The characters and storyline are engaging and being able to continue to read about the inhabitants of Cotton Creek only adds to the overall enjoyment. In addition, the story link to the Whisperers makes this even more pleasurable. J.D. and Jolene’s love story is the perfect addition to this wonderful series.
