At 19, Beck Barretti is living two lives. To his family, he’s a young man trying to find his way after years of battling a mental illness that nearly cost him everything. But to the rest of the world he’s just another privileged kid with problems. The truth doesn’t even lie somewhere in between because Beck’s entire life is actually about keeping secrets. From the people he loves. From the ones he … loves.
From the ones he doesn’t.
From himself.
Spending a summer in Dare, Montana with family friends isn’t about starting fresh – it’s about escaping the crippling darkness that threatens to consume him.
Until one encounter that was supposed to mean nothing ends up changing everything…
Quinn Donovan had the life he’d always dreamed of until a brutal act of violence ripped it all away. Even though he’s found a new future working at the CB Bar Ranch in Dare, Montana, he’s not interested in trying to get back what he once had. All he wants is a quiet life that includes a job that’s worth getting up for each morning and hanging out with his best friend, a black and white Paint stallion named Koda.
But nothing prepares him for the strange twist of fate that brings not one, but two men into his life…
Brody Wilder is done hiding in the closet. As the son of a political scion, he’s spent his entire life hiding the truth about who he is just so he could inherit a legacy he never wanted. But those days are behind him and he’s starting a new life in rural Montana where he’s saving lives as a paramedic and building a successful construction business that would surely horrify his old-money, society-loving family.
After years of denying himself, he’s taking advantage of his newfound freedom by indulging in random, meaningless sexual encounters that are about pleasure, not emotion.
So no one is more surprised than him when one night in the back room of a sordid gay club leads to something more…
Can three men who came together by chance find the hope they need to build a future with each other, or will they end up letting their fears tear them apart?

I really enjoyed this book but man was it heartbreaking hearing everything that Beck has been through in his short life and that he was betrayed and used by so men. The worse being his bl*ody a*sehole of a psychologist Victor as he was in a position of trust which he not only violated that but then he also r*ped Beck and then told his fathers’ that he can’t be Beck’s psychologist anymore due to Beck attacking him and his fathers’ believed him as Beck’s behaviour at home had deteriorated drastically, resulting in Beck attempted k*lling himself a few days after he was r*ped and would’ve succeeded if his father Cade hadn’t come home from work early and had to cut him down. After everything Beck went through he found a way to cope no matter that it was completely messed up. Quinn lost his husband Griffin & Brody’s is no longer part of his family now as they hate him because he’s gay but the betrayal from his twin brother Nathan when he came out as gay to him was what nearly broke him. I thought Beck, Quinn and Brody are great together and they all just click. I think they handled hearing everything that Beck told them about his past very well. If that was me I would be hysterically crying and also angry at all the complete and utter a*sehole men who’ve used Beck for their own pleasure and didn’t even notice that he’d never got any pleasure from s*x at all. When Beck instigated things as it was a way for him to get some of his control back that was taken from him even if he wasn’t into it, and didn’t really want it, it was just a way to cope. I liked that Brody and his brother Nathan had a moment and I’m looking forward to reading Nathan’s story next and seeing that everything with the threats that Nathan received in regards to drastically changing his political views and having a gay brother works out okay. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
I could not put down this love story between these three tortured souls. No one deserved a happily ever after more than Brody, Beck and Quinn. All three had painful pasts and while Beck had a much more traumatic past, all three bonded together to become stronger as a triad. A painful but beautiful story in this series.
5+ Stars
Another absolutely amazing fabulous gut wrenching emotional hot sexy romance!!
I can’t get enough.
I like how Ms Kennedy writes MMM. She always gives every man an equal voice, equal chance to tell their story. They give and take in equal measure, and the feelings between them always make sigh. This story had a more measured tempo. It was more about healing and finding stable ground. At times it felt that Beck’s depression was a living thing between them but both Quinn and Brody’s support helped Beck to find himself.
Beck’s story is tragic. It begs to ask a question: How many times people who should know you the best overlook the smile that is fake? How many times will a person lie convincingly before they snap? Beck despite being good at pretending one day simply can’t, and with his decision come so many changes that seem to make it even worse. His trip to Dare is just one of the useless things to pass the time but it turns out anything but. He finds two men who teach him to trust, who make him feel safe and wanted. I liked that despite his fear he still let the spark he felt for both men grow into a steady flame. I really admired him when he sought help when the last time it turned into a nightmare.
Quinn is a man of simple tastes. All he ever wanted was a place to call his own and a family but all of that was shattered when his husband was taken from him. When he meets Beck and Brody he is just existing and surviving one day at a time. Both men help Quinn to grieve and take a chance on love again. I liked Quinn’s patience be it with animals, children or his men when they needed his quiet strength. I felt that he was the most grounded in their relationship.
Brody is leaving his dream life. He broke free from his upscale conservative family but there is still a piece of him missing – his twin brother Nathan who left a gaping hole in his chest when he turned his back on him. Brody is a dreamer. He is compassionate, and he is the glue that keeps their relationship together and makes it light at times.
This book centered mostly on Beck’s issues and overcoming his traumatic past, managing his depression and finally finding the life he always wanted. I loved them together. There were playful times, romantic and intimate times, painful and tearful times. and through them all Beck, Quinn and Brody were just beautiful! Another wonderful heart felt story, and I highly recommend it.
An emotionally tough but amazing story of people who love, suffer and support each other in their big family. I wish to be part of their group, because the love they share is bigger and stronger than any of the difficulties life or society might bring upon them. Their suffering and love made them open, wise, understanding and supportive. I love them all!
