Boring
This Book shows it is never too late to fall in love. Inspirational for middle aged folks.
Great story lines with wonderful characters
Enjoyed this book. Nice story line.
I enjoyed the book. 1 because it was nearly all good caring people. 2. I have been to San Juan Island.
The kind of book to read when you want characters with enough money to never be concerned about money. In addition, a set of circumstances that start out pretty perfect, then turn into only minor complications which also turn out perfectly, no surprises, no plot twists to hold the reader’s interest.
The characters are somewhat one dimensional and everything is explained in paragraphs full of the background information that should have been woven into the plot and allowed to unfold gradually. Unfortunately, the plot itself is somewhat thin, making no demands on the reader and very few on the characters.
If that sounds like just what you are looking for, go for it.
Eager to continue the series!
Loved it, I am currently reading the other books in this series!
The writing style was more like reading a to do list. While I liked the characters in the book, everything was just a little too pat and unbelievable. Honestly, for such a short book, it took me a long time to read because I kept falling asleep reading it. I did appreciate that it was a clean book and the two main characters referenced going to church without getting preachy.
A little rambling but a very nice story. I enjoyed it.
Some spoiler info.
A recently divorced woman moves from Seattle to an island with her dog. She is beautiful, has plenty of money, and lives in a beautiful house. She buys a coffee shop/book store immediately. Her faithful assistant takes care of all the details. The local carpenter is gorgeous and can do all the work she needs immediately. He has a wonderful welcoming family. Life just keeps getting better.
This was so unrealistic and ridiculous. If you like really light romances, this might be for you. It is a upbeat story.
Just so-so. Nothing exciting happens. Actually became boring near the end. Some characters were introduced that could have added some excitement but they were never developed.
I love romance novels where there are animal characters. This was a great story. The author’s writing style wasn’t to my taste, but that’s a personal preference.
I loved the whole series.
Kept waiting for the book to get interesting but it never happened. Won’t be reading anymore books from this author.
This was a very slow moving book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was an easy read but very pleasant.
Very dry story.
I enjoyed reading a story about a small community with a history of coming together to support neighbors. I found it interesting to see how a business was transformed and modernized and I also enjoyed the human elements. This was a great change-of-pace book for me.
Excellent book to read. Enjoy reading about the life in a small town with many different characters and a rich variety of relationships and events.
