It was a nice, relaxing read.
feel good book about starting over.
Good read held my interest
Easy read, decent real-life story. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed this book. Awesome book and well written
Reminded me of the writing style and level of the first book I ever read “Fun With Sick and Jane.”
I really liked this book because of the setting on an island and there wasn’t a whole lot of conflict= easy, mindless read, perfect for a curl up on the couch day.
The main character in this book seems likable enough, but the plot is a little too predictable. She bakes pies in almost every chapter. The only question for the reader was whether chocolate or apple would be flavor of the day.Relationships don’t seem very realistic either. There are very few complications in the plot, but if you are looking for a quick read with a simple story line, this might be the book for you.
unusual premise – great story – great characters with some surprises
showed a very strong female
I am not a fan of romance novels, but if you are you’ll enjoy.
Although this is just a romance novel, and I don’t usually care for predictable endings, it was rather enjoyable.
I don’t recommend this book. It was cliche and a waste of time.
Storyline not well-developed. Characters lacked depth and dialogue was very choppy. Setting was best part of story- plot could have been better developed with characters that were real.
The book was a good easy read while on a long plane ride. Found the writing a bit juvenile, but, otherwise it was a nice way to pass the time.
Dull
If you’re looking for a rainy day pick me up book, try this one. It is well written, the characters are enjoyable, and it’s a feel good novel. I gave it 3 stars because the book lacked conflict. Everything fell into place so easily, with no struggles. Money wasn’t a problem. All the characters but two were all sugar and spice. And even out of those two, one turned out not to be the evil ex, just a misguided ex. The protagonist, Sam, seemed to just have a thought and everything fell into place instantly. Perfect home, perfect business, perfect employees, perfect friends, perfect boyfriend, even perfect weather. A well-written Pollyanna story. If you like that kind of story, submit a 5 star review. I just can’t.
good read when you are in the mood for things turning out right. small home town style
Way too much focus on describing all the food/meals involved which was unnecessary to the story and really was tiring. The story line was good – mostly predictable but one surprise came up.
Sorry to say but it was rather boring, way too predictable.
