A novel about a shattered family, broken hearts, and healing love by Rachel Van Dyken, the number one New York Times bestselling author of Stealing Her.Coming out of a coma was one hell of a wake-up call. While I was in the dark, my estranged twin brother, Bridge, had replaced me in the company I owned and swept up my fiancée in the takeover. With my ruthless reputation, can I blame them for … reputation, can I blame them for falling in love? I have to look long and hard at where I’ve been and where I’m headed. Alone time? The universe has other plans.
Our family’s secluded Vermont cabin comes with a gorgeous—if at first, unwelcoming—surprise. She’s renter Keaton Westbrook, a social media superstar struggling with her own private grief. As a winter storm bears down, we’ve found something to keep us warm—an intimacy neither of us expected and both of us need.
After we say goodbye, what happens then? Keaton and I are longing to reconcile with our painful pasts. I can’t bear to do it without her. Is it too much to ask of fate to give us a second chance at life and love?

Emotional roller-coaster filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and unexpected turns. Was a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this heartwarming and sweetly sexy read.
Finding Him is like reading 3 stories in one…
Finding Him is a tale that is told in 3 parts: Julian, Keaton, and Noah’s. I managed to hold onto my waterworks but just barely. Noah is the kind of person we all hope we can be when faced with the end of our lives too soon. Having witnessed the decline cancer causes, I can say RVD went easy on us. Its not about Noah’s end though, but Keaton and Julian’s beginning.
She found him, and like a fungal infection, she can’t seem to get rid of him.
Keaton is torn between the world of social media and real life.
Julian is teting to be real for his new “life”.
Both are struggling. This is their story.
I’m swooning like an overheated 18th century debutante. Know for all his flaws, Julian’s heart and honesty are not counted correctly. People assume the worse and it’s a shame. This beautifully damaged man is more than people give him credit for. Finding Him is Keaton’s chance to love again. Its also Julian’s chance to love right.
I enjoyed this journey. I was so worried- not the writing but my own hang ups. I think reading a teaser on Facebook gave me too much insight and I panicked. I have a hard time with terminal cancer books. I appreciate the way Rachel Van Dyken hit us with the feels with out killing us with the details of Noah’s pain. I can’t help but wonder about the cat though…lol. (Sometime you need to laugh so you won’t cry.)
Finding Him may be the end of a series but clearly its just the beginning.
Wow! Rachel can write one heck of a story. I seriously didn’t think she’d ever be able to redeem Julian Tennison after reading book one in this series. But boy oh boy does she. I loved his rawness, vulnerability as well as feisty attitude towards Keaton Westbrook.
I also loved how she took two people who were fighting to survive a tragedy and helped them heal together. My heart was totally wrapped into this story completely. I loved the book so much I didn’t want it to end.
The audio version of this book was incredible. Brian Pallino and CJ Bloom performed this story perfectly. I am now a huge fan of both of them thanks to this performance!
Finding Him is book two in the Covet series. It is romantic, angsty and steamy, mixed up with some drama. The story flows easily and captured me from the beginning just like it did with Stealing Her. Although it is book two in the series I feel it can be read as a stand-alone. There are small explanations that fill in the gaps. This is Julian’s story…..
“Maybe it was because she wasn’t scared of me.”
“Maybe it was because she was genuine and insulting, and women typically didn’t treat me that way.”
“Maybe it was because I enjoyed her scowl almost as much as I enjoyed her smile.”
Julian Tennyson needs a break. After waking up from a coma and finding out his fiancée Izzy is in love with his twin brother Bridge, he has just had it. There are other circumstances surrounding his much needed break. He heads to his family’s’ cabin to find solace. Instead he finds Keaton Westbrook, a social media superstar. Both have strong opinions about each other based on their social media presence. Julian has quite the bad boy reputation. And Keaton is like an innocent star who wants to please her followers.
Julian and Keaton out angry and fueled. The chemistry between them is hot! And so is their sexy times! Will they walk away lonely or will fate step in?
I found Finding Him to be a quick and romantic read. I enjoyed the buildup between Julian and Keaton. They had chemistry but also friendship, companionship and a closeness between them. The Covet series had been a fun, sexy, steamy, romantic duet. I enjoyed it very much! It will make a great poolside read!
4 stars!

This was a beautiful story with 2 heartbroken people that accidentally find their happily ever after when they both take a break from life. I loved Julian and Keaton, they were both so devastatingly broken that my heart hurt with them. I loved that even though there were heavy subjects it was the perfect mix of heavy, angst, well written banter and some giggles.
Wow! This book was good, so angsty. All about second chances (and if you read the first in this duet, you’ll know what I mean)
4.5 stars
“Would you believe me if I told you that your the eye of the storm? The calmest part of my life when everything around me is chaos”
There are some beautiful words within the pages of this story. Rachel Van Dyken swept me away with Julian and Keaton’s story which had a perfect balance of humour, heartwarming moments and heartbreak.
We were polar opposites. The media painted me like a saint and Julian Tennyson? Hell’s number one sinner
While Julian was in a coma following his accident, he woke up discovering his twin brother was living his life and also living with his fiance, a fiance that he had cheated on numerous times and treated like a doormat. The beginning of this story can be read in Stealing her which is Bridge’s story, a story that also captivated me.
In truth, Julian wasn’t a nice person before his near death experience, he was rich and lived a life of ignorance, like the world revolved around him, he treated people like they were beneath him, even his twin brother who he was separated from as a young boy and who lived in poverty he looked down on, until he nearly died and woke up with a new outlook on life.
When Julian’s mother dies, he struggles with his grief and is ordered by the board of his company to take a break. Julian goes to his place of childhood memories and goes to his remote family cabin.
Keaton is the daughter of a Director and an actress, she is a sweetheart in the eyes of the media. Keaton finds love with a cancer patient while volunteering at the hospital, her story is so moving as she tells it throughout this story in past tense.
In the months that followed Noah’s death Keaton decides to take herself away to a remote rented cabin to write their, her and Noah’s story which is in demand from a publisher and also her thousands of Instagram followers who have followed her story with Noah through it all.
Keaton and Julian end up at the same cabin, snowed in and there isn’t any other way to describe their meeting each other other at that time in their lives, other than divine intervention.
There are two love stories within Finding Him but it is mainly a story of two people who are brought together by fate, connected by grief who find healing and love along the way.
A unique and beautiful plot.
I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed the journey of this moving story.
Finding him can be read as a standalone, Stealing her does not need to be read prior to Julian’s story but it will help you understand the kind of father Julian had and why he was the way he was before this story begins, like a backstory.
Told in first person dual pov and leads to a hea
I’m about to beg RVD to take over my dating apps and help me find a man because this woman writes the most amazing men. Julian may be her best book boyfriend (outside of the mafia guys). The perfect combo of a**hole, sweet, charming, witty and all around decent man. Keaton is the perfect match for Julian. She is so strong, independent and takes none of his crap. She may be the first person to ever actually challenge him. Their chemistry all but leaps off the page at you.
This book will take you through a full spectrum of emotion. Happiness, anger, sadness, love. Grab a glass of wine and some chocolate and get cozy and enjoy the ride. Be prepared to root for the bad guy again, you’ll understand this more if you read Finding Her
Made my little heart patter! I loved this story with so emotional yet not overdone. If you’re a crying have the tissues handy. I’m not and I still teared up a few times. This one is better than the first story about Julian’s twin, Bridge. The first story gave you insight to the before Julian who was not a nice guy. So glad that hit to the head did him good along with his mom’s influence. I love Keaton as the broken hearted social influencer living between her dead love and her future with the super sexy Julian. Girl, what’s there to think about? He’s so yummy and powerful and in the moment with you. I love the transformation of Julian from cold business mogul to a warm, loving human. He’s dealing with his grief also. The lost of his former life, his fiancé and then his mother. He’s a mess but he pushes it aside to be whatever Keaton needs. And he’s a sexy beast! His hotness was panty melting as he took the girl and made her his. There’s so much to love about this story. It’s more than just a romance between two exceptional hot people. There’s grief to overcome, hearts to heal, mending a relationship between brothers and finding a way past the pain a to build a new life. It’s glorious when all the pieces fall into place. The only issue is with Julian’s physicality. In the last book he had so many injuries from his car wreck and there were scars on his face. I know a good plastic surgeon can work wonders but I still think there would gave been noticeable scars. Anyway, it’s still a beautiful love story and so worth the read! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars
4 1/2 STARS
What a great book. It was a quick read with not much bullshit. There were a few times, my heart squeezed with sadness but it was well written. Can’t wait to see what she has in stores next. Grab your copy. I enjoyed this series.
I wasn’t prepared to like Julian but I completely fell for him in this book. And Keaton is an amazing heroine. Both characters have so much baggage they can barely see straight. But somehow they find peace and hope in each other. The world and all of their insecurities keep encroaching but losing him (Noah) and finding him (Julian) gives them a chance to move on and really start living…and love each other with all of the joy true love brings.
After reading Stealing Her, I couldn’t wait to see where Julian ended up in this story. Its definitely fast paced but that doesn’t take anything away from the story. Its funny, sweet, super sexy, and a tear jerker.
Julian is dealing with his grief, mourning the loss of not just his mother. He’s confident, cocky, sweet, and will make your knees weak. He’s made mistakes but is learning to grow from it.
Keaton is grieving the loss of a loved one as well. She’s learning to heal and move forward. But sometimes you need a little push in the right direction. She’s gorgeous, smart, and isn’t afraid to give as much as she gets.
This story gave me all the feels! You’ll want to devour it one sitting!
Finding Him has easily made its way into my top 5 favorite RVD books and I feel like this was one of the best books RVD has ever written.
When we first met Julian he was a jerk. There was no nice way to put what he was. I definitely thought there was no way he was going to redeem himself. Man was I wrong! I absolutely fell in love with him in this story and I can say he is my favorite twin.
I felt like Keaton was the perfect character to pair Julian with. Both dealing with difficult situations but leaning on each other to help with the difficult times.
I loved the banter with these two, the back and forth with will they or won’t they and I just loved how Rachel wrote their story. It was truly perfect!
I promise this one will not disappoint you. It was well worth the wait for it!
“I wondered in that moment if he understood that he wasn’t the villain. No, Julian Tennyson had been my hero.”
“You feel like something I’ve searched for my whole life without even realizing what it was- the treasure you know exists but can’t fucking find.”
“You fight for love because the minute you have a taste of it, you realize why wars are fought in honor of it. It’s the most precious thing in the world, and it’s worth waiting for… and fighting for.”
Finding Him is the second book in this series and the story of the other twin brother, Julian. Although this could be read as a standalone, I’d suggest for you to read the first book since the characters and the story, pretty much connects with this book.
The story started with Julian post-coma that happened on book one. He was in for a lot of changes and it slowly changed him as a person. When he was forced by his brother to take a vacation to their family cabin, he didn’t know that he will meet Keaton, a woman who, like him is dealing with loss.
Oh god! This book made me cry- as in rivers of tears with snot running through my nose-cry. There were a lot of emotional, heartbreaking scenes relating Keaton’s past and how it affected her relationship with Julian. I never thought that Julian’s story will be this angsty, but I should have known from the start that there is more to this man than his playboy/ jerk attitude.
The story will reaffirm your belief that it really is a small world and fate (or was it love?) moves in mysterious ways. It’s a tale of healing- one agonizing step at a time; finding love when and where you least expect it and celebrating the beauty of life. I simply loved it and couldn’t wait for more from the author!
Finding Him is book two in the Covet series, and although you could probably read it as a stand alone, I suggest reading Stealing Her (book 1) first.
When I read book 1 I really disliked Julian, but this book made me love him. It broke my heart and repaired it again but definitely put my emotions on a roller coaster.
Rachel has once again written a great series. Definitely 5 stars!!
Have your tissues ready- this book had me legit ugly crying at 2 in the morning. I could not put it down. I adored Keaton – my heart absolutely broke for her. I liked this side of Julian too – I was not quite fond of him in the first book but this book has changed my thoughts about him. Their love story is so beautiful and raw. And don’t get me started on Noah – just amazing! You will love this book.
RVD continues to exhibit such amazing writing ability that makes you fall in love with each new book she produces. Her characters are always relatable. It always bits home with each part of the story.
This book was made of perfection each book, each scenario, each word. Absolutely amazing, enthralling and emotional.
Julian and Keaton meet in crazy circumstances. Their story is filled with heartache, love, emotion. Their story is twisted and crazy and totally obsessive. A definitely 5 star winner for RVD!!
4.5 emotionally heart-wrenching stars
After reading Stealing Her the first book in this series I was quite intrigued by Julian and to me RVD honestly outdid herself with his story. Once I started this one I was completely hooked. It was so raw and emotional, honestly I read the most of the book through tears. The emotions she portrayed into this one was immense, heart and soul.
Our opinion of Julian changed throughout the first book as we got to know him, despite him being in a coma. In this one he’s a broken man. He has woken to find his whole world tipped upside down and his fiancée is now with his estranged twin brother. He is struggling to deal with everything, he feels broken and is throwing himself into his work until his brother and the board force him to take a vacation.
Heading to his family cabin in the middle of nowhere he never expected to find someone else there in the shape of the hot and broken Keaton. She’s grieving the loss of her boyfriend from Cancer and has promised to write his story.
Keaton is the complete opposite of Julian. Whereas he’s the town playboy with a bad reputation thanks to his dads smear campaign, Keaton is the nations sweetheart and everyone loved her romance.
Stuck in the isolated cabin together Julian offers to help her write her story. This lead to them developing a connection between them that was raw, emotional and so much more then either ever thought it would be.
My heart honestly broke for both of them. Julian is desperate for someone to chose him, see the real him, love HIM whereas Keaton is struggling with the guilt over her feelings for Julian.
Can they both find their Forever Love the second time around.
Finally getting Julian’s story! Taking some time to himself after all the drama that ensued in the previous book as well as attempting to get a handle on his brother and his ex-fiancé living their best life, Julian goes to the cabin where he remembers his family being the happiest, and finds someone else already there. After losing who she felt was the love of her life, Keaton is writing a tell-all book on their romance, but can’t seem to write it because of the grief she has and decides to book time at a cabin to hunker down and write. Not happy that either of them are there but stuck in the same cabin until the snowstorm ends, the electric chemistry between these two are hilarious, not to mention the situation that Keaton ends up in outside! But once rescued, these two become shy towards each other although thankfully Julian’s brother and sister-in-law step in and play matchmaker. With the back and forth from the grief and her public image, at times I wanted to jump into the book and shake Keaton to show her how much of a good guy Julian actually is, but thankfully she figures that out all on her own. I was so happy that Julian gets the HEA that he deserves, especially after the things that happened in the last book! I’m excited to see if this series will continue now that both brothers have their stories!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
********* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *********
Story Rating: 5 Stars
Voice Rating: 4.5 Stars
Finding Him is a heartbreaking story that makes you think beyond the exterior, beyond what we share with the world, beyond what we put on the table. Layer by layer Jullian and Keaton break down their walls and find something so raw and so beautiful behind that hardened exterior. An honesty that hurts to share with another. I was completely charmed with Jullian and Keaton. They made me smile with adoration. They tried so hard to dislike each other but bit by bit they were wore down until they found themselves smiling in surprise or laughing in shock at each other. Their sexual chemistry is one that sneaks up on you ever so slowly… until it’s uncomfortable (and perhaps makes you laugh)!
CJ Bloom was a bit of a slow talker but I sped her up a notch or two and it’s all good. She has such a soft and silky voice. She was almost too sweet sounding to have Keaton’s feisty and teasing personality but she grew on me. In the end, I couldn’t imagine another Keaton. Brian Pallino has this deep voice that feels like it’s emitted from deep within the chest. It’s slightly gruff and pulls your attention instantly. I loved the sound of his voice clashing with CJ Bloom’s. It was such a drastic difference that I couldn’t help but pay attention. Seriously, I loved their playfulness. I could feel the smiling and the flirting just in the narrator’s voices. I ended this audiobook with such a happy, content feeling… a big, happy smile while drying the tears on my face.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook from Brilliance Publishing with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a positive review and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
