A novel about a shattered family, broken hearts, and healing love by Rachel Van Dyken, the number one New York Times bestselling author of Stealing Her.Coming out of a coma was one hell of a wake-up call. While I was in the dark, my estranged twin brother, Bridge, had replaced me in the company I owned and swept up my fiancée in the takeover. With my ruthless reputation, can I blame them for … reputation, can I blame them for falling in love? I have to look long and hard at where I’ve been and where I’m headed. Alone time? The universe has other plans.
Our family’s secluded Vermont cabin comes with a gorgeous—if at first, unwelcoming—surprise. She’s renter Keaton Westbrook, a social media superstar struggling with her own private grief. As a winter storm bears down, we’ve found something to keep us warm—an intimacy neither of us expected and both of us need.
After we say goodbye, what happens then? Keaton and I are longing to reconcile with our painful pasts. I can’t bear to do it without her. Is it too much to ask of fate to give us a second chance at life and love?

Stealing Her, a novel about a shattered family, broken hearts, and healing love by Rachel Van Dyken, the number-one New York Times bestselling author.
Sexy, heartwarming read. Highly recommend! Love Rachel Van Dyken.
Finding Him by Rachel Van Dyken was an unexpected read and the second book in the Covet series. This time around we get Julian’s story. Needing to deal with everything that happened, he needed to get away. When he did, he found Keaton, dealing with her own loss and grief. Each are going through so much, but can they find something more together? The story was sweet and emotional and on the light side and just what I needed.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Oh my me. This story, this duet of books is going to give you all the feels.
This is Julian’s story. Waking up from a coma to find his whole world has changed. To see and learn things so upheaving and mind-blowing that he is struggling to cope.
Now I will admit, I was a bit leery going into this story. The first book in this series, Stealing Her, had painted Julian in a twisted color. He seemed arrogant and selfish and almost unredeemable.
But a true testament to the talent and magic of Ms. Van Dkyen’s writing and storytelling skills was this story, Finding Him. Because that is what this story is about. Seeing and finding the real Julian. And that’s what Keaton did, she found the man, the beautiful soul behind all the drama and negativity.
Keaton is suffering too, she has had one of the most tragic losses anyone can face. Unfortunately being in the spotlight the way she has been all her life can create a whole new set of problems on how to proceed with tragedy and loss.
I absolutely loved this story, I cried, I laughed and I also cheered hard for Julain! Bravo sir for standing up for what your heart wanted and for not taking just “enough” but for demanding it all!
This story is one of my favorites of 2020. Probably my favorite RVD book EVER!
Julian Tennyson is EVERYTHING AND MORE!
After reading Stealing Her, I couldn’t wait to read this story because I knew that we were all going to fall in love with Julian. I knew that he was going to redeem his broody self and boy did he ever! I knew deep down there was a heart of gold but we get to see something even more. We get to watch as these two write their story while saying goodbye to the past.
A furry of emotions will hit you while you read a
heartbreaking love story that turns into true love.
Highly recommended!
As always RVD slays at storytelling.
Thank you to Net Galley for providing me with a free advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are those of my own.
it was amazing
I seriously wish I could give more stars…..This book was EVERYTHING!!!!
I loved how Keaton was. She truly is someone I could admire. Let me say this better. I truly started to admire her more towards the 55-60% mark.
But Julian> That man is amazing. He fraught his demons and WON!!!
My heart barely handled this duet! I went into this book 95% sure I was going to hate Keaton, but he wormed his way into my heart with his redemption story. This beautiful story was both heartbreaking and an emotional roller coaster ride, but one that I’d gladly go on again!
True love story
We humans greatly underestimate the power of empathy and it’s connection to love. Yes, even two people who go through the same experience won’t feel it the same way.
It doesn’t change that if you reach deep into your heart, your heart tugs at and bleeds for people’s pain and struggles, even when you cannot fully comprehend their experience.
Such is the power of this simply beautiful book. It made me cry, laugh and smile; but most of all, it made me feel and empathize. It made me feel a love that wasn’t mine. It made me empathize with a pain I didn’t endure.
It made me say a little prayer for everyone going through anything. It made me say a little pray for the healing power of love.
Finding Him is a spelling-binding romance. Julian is a broken man who is incredibly sexy, fiercely protective, and complex. Keaton is sweet, giving, and very guarded with her heart. They share a connection that is intensely strong and unexpected. Their chemistry is undeniable and electric. Their witty exchanges are so natural. The storyline is well-written and a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I could feel everything the characters experienced; the emotions radiated from the pages. I laughed, cried so many tears (happy and sad), felt the butterflies, the heart palpitations, every ounce of pain and all the joy. The heartfelt moments stole my breath and the heartbreaking ones shattered my heart. Oh, and those swoon-worthy moments left me breathless! Witnessing these two souls heal was breathtaking. A poignant and powerfully inspiring story that was emotional and breathtakingly romantic. It forever left a mark on my heart and soul! A must read!
Finding Him is the second book of the Covet series, and takes place after Stealing Her. I loved reading Julian and Keaton’s story. Each trying to find their place in the world around them. I have become a fan of Rachel Van Dyken, and look forward to reading more of her books.
This book was such a sweet love story. It had a lot of heartbreaking moments that I definitely teared up on but holy moly was it a beautiful story!! I was constantly rooting for Julian and Keaton. I found myself often times getting frustrated with Keaton BUT its understandable with what she has been through. I honestly loved this book and it left you with such a happy fuzzy feeling!
For the most part, I enjoyed this romantic story about two grieving people finding their way out of the wreckage and into happiness. The dialog was uneven in some parts, making it hard to follow the characters’ emotions and kind of boomeranging all over the place from sad to joking and back again. But Keaton’s backstory with Noah was well done, and Julian’s story of redemption was interesting.
This book… guys… it got real, real fast, and I LOVED every moment of it. Rachel knows how to draw you in by your heartstrings, strum them like a well tuned guitar and give you ALLL the feels.
With both Julian and Keaton having gone through such loss are looking for solace, whether forced or voluntary, and a secluded cabin in the mountains seems to hit the mark. Each one bringing so much hurt and baggage, figuratively that is, they start as enemies till they are forced to call truce and be open with each other.
Watching both struggle with the boundaries society has placed, and how they handle it, my heart aches for them. For those with true hearts, what does it matter what society thinks if you find true happiness. This gives real meaning to “You can be the juiciest peach in the basket, but someone will not like peaches.”
As Julian learns to open his heart again this time to Keaton, becoming selfless with his time and his heart, it brought me to tears with how much he was willing to give to her. Then to have her learn how to be her without all the stress of what social media followers thought, just really hit home.
This book was another incredible read that I would recommend to anyone looking for a great read that’ll really make you think and one you can become totally immersed in.
*You will need to have read Stealing Her first for to keep from having spoilers*
FINDING HIM is the second instalment in Rachel Van Dyken’s contemporary, adult COVET romance series focusing on businessman and heir Julian Tennyson, and model / writer / social media darling Keaton Westbrook. FINDING HIM can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book one STEALING HER for back story and cohesion.
SOME BACKGROUND: At the age of fifteen, twins Bridge and Julian Tennyson were separated as a result of their parent’s divorce. Bridge had always promised Julian he would protect his brother but years of separation meant the two had become strangers until the fateful day when Bridge would be pulled back into his brother’s world. Having lived with his ailing mother, Bridge watched from the sidelines as his brother Julian excelled in the business of high finance, a business that was destroying Julian and the woman with whom he was about to marry. A near fatal accident left Julian Tennyson in a four-week coma during which time his fiancé left and married his twin brother Bridge.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Julian and Keaton) FINDING HIM follows the building relationship and romance between businessman and heir Julian Tennyson, and model / writer / social media darling Keaton Westbrook. Julian Tennyson was struggling in the aftermath of an accident, and the resulting loss of his fiancé to his brother Bridge. Told to take some time off, Julian headed to the family cabin only to come face to face with social media darling and America’s sweetheart Keaton Westbrook, who had rented the cabin from their corporate head quarters in an effort to write a book focusing on her relationship with her late, best friend Noah. A snow storm and the subsequent loss of internet connection found Julian and Keaton stranded together where they would work side by side on a book about Keaton’s grief in the aftermath of losing someone she loved. What ensues is the building relationship between Keaton and Julian, and the potential fall-out as Keaton continues to struggle with grief, and the perceptive attitude of social media towards her possible relationship with America’s bad boy, as Julian battles between head and heart knowing their time together is coming to a close.
Keaton Westbrook is the daughter of celebrities, and as such her relationship with Noah, and his subsequent death became one of the most popular trending stories in social media. When a publisher suggested Keaton write a story focusing on her love with Noah, our heroine went into seclusion only to face her future in the guise of bad boy Julian Tennyson. Julian’s reputation and the fall-out of his relationship with both his brother and his former fiancé precedes his introduction to Keaton Westbrook but forced time together found Julian considering a second chance at love but a love predicated on Keaton’s social media standings, and the public perception of Keaton’s new love. Grieving the recent death of his beloved mother, Julian understands Keaton’s loss but struggles with her inability to move on from the past. The $ex scenes are passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to Julian’s brother Bridge, and his new wife Isobel but the majority of the story line focuses on Julian and Keaton’s time together in the cabin, in the woods.
FINDING HIM is a story of grief and recovery; of friendship and family; of acceptance and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive and sweet; the characters are broken, struggling but healing.
Rachel Van Dyken writes unique stories in the way the characters interact and go through allot to find happiness. The Covet series about two twin brothers really should be read in order. In Finding Him, Julian wakes from a coma a new man. He’s no longer the selfish billionaire obsessed with business. He’s lost his fiancee to his brother, Bridge. After plotting with Bridge to remove their father from his position, Julian heads to the family cabin to de-stress. There he comes across a knife-welding beauty, Keaton, who thought she had the cabin for her own recovery from a broken heart. Together they find that hearts can heal in time with the right person.
