When being seduced by a rock star, only a fool falls in love.SEANThe night Dante Sinclair lured me into his dressing room and gave me my first kiss, I was oblivious to one important fact: all rock stars are spoiled narcissists. I learned my lesson when our failed attempt at a reunion left me humiliated and heartbroken. Now, Dante is booked into the music retreat I run. Years have passed, so he … won’t recognise me. He’ll have no idea the man cooking his meals and washing his clothes is the same skinny boy he kissed so long ago. And when he begins to look at me like I’m his new favourite muse, my anonymity will be my only protection against the sensuality of his charms.DANTEGrey. It’s the name I gave to the only boy I ever kissed. He is my favourite memory. The place my mind goes when the expectations of rock stardom threaten to choke me. I barely remember what he looked like, but I’ll never forget the way he made me feel. When I came to this retreat, my goals were simple: get out of my creative rut and write my new album. But one look into Sean’s eyes is enough to threaten the tenuous control I have over my life. He swears we’ve never met, but there’s a Grey-ness to him that inspires me, even as it makes me long to satisfy the cravings I’ve denied for so long.He may not be the real Grey-but he’s close enough.

This was something a little bit different to what I am usually used to. But I’m glad I decided to give this one a chance. Ended up really loving it. Gritty, real and emotional.
Omg this book was incredible!
Two boys, and one kiss. That one kiss changed everything in both of their lives. It may take years but these two finally get to start what they never got a chance in the past. Dante’s father saw to it. But after years of being apart Sean and Dante finally get their love story. This book was incredible and I found it impossible to put down till the very end.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I picked this second chance MM romance. Sean runs a retreat and after years of concerts and being on the road, Dante has come to the retreat to relax and try to get his head back into writing music. I liked the ending.
New to me author. This is a mm contemporary story set in Australia. Main characters are Sean and Dante. We follow them at three meetings in time. This is a second chance story. Lots of lies made by controlling parents involved. I’ll read this author again.
The only reason I gave this book 4 stars is because of the idea that Roger ruined so many lives and never understood that it wasn’t ok or had any consequences for his action. This story tore me up. I loved all of the feelings, good and bad. Dante’s willingness to call out to Grey through a public venue was so promising. I kinda lost respect for Sean after all the subterfuge with Dante. I loved how Sean’s mom and dad treated Dante like family (since he never really had one) and Phil could talk to him like a son. He needed someone older and wiser to be able to talk to. I absolutely loved how good they were together. Everything was fun and easy when they were alone. If you want a romance that will tug at your heart and make you just want to squeeze Dante. This book will do that. Plus a happy ending and I was in awe. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This was my first read by Rebecca Raine but you can bet I’ll be back for more. I really enjoyed the push and pull of the story. From the moment they meet, both their lives changed for better or worse. Without even knowing his name, Dante knew that the moment their lips touched, he wouldn’t be the same. Sean tried to keep himself in check while still pining for the man that EVERYONE wants. There are secrets and lies and people who want to keep them apart including themselves. Finding acceptance in Dante’s world seems to be non-existent. Is he willing to push the boundaries to be who he is meant to be? And does Sean have what it takes to be on that ride with Dante?
When unrequited finds requited! Fantastic story. You feel each emotion as you travel through. Sean took photos of the rock bands while he follows his dad working the concerts. He was 15 when he met Dante a rising rock star who was 17. After a concert, they met and shared their first kiss with a boy. Neither forgot the other. Dante used the pictures Sean took and calls him Grey. Dante has been looking for whom he called Grey because he neglected to get his name. Dante’s dad, Roger is his manager. More manager than dad, he convinced Dante he should ignore his attraction to men as it would ruin his career. They had an opportunity to meet again, but something went wrong. Roger intervened. While they both had fulfilling lives, something was missing. Something vital, life giving and important. They each look in their own ways. Dante reserves two months at The Bard’s Retreat hoping to collect himself and write songs for a new album. Sean worked there helping his father, who owned the retreat. Dante, noticed Sean’s eyes, but he didn’t recognize Sean who elected not to reveal himself. Sean is out and proud, Dante is not. Getting to know each other is a delicate dance. Hopefully they find themselves in perfect sync. What does Roger think about the situation? Will Sean ever reveal himself? Will Dante guess? Excellent story. Very romantic. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
This was a fun read, a second and third chance to find what could be. Sean and Dante met and sparked when they were teenagers. Another opportunity knocked, but they did not connect. This time, after a few lies, they reconnected and developed a strong bond. Sean was so sure of himself and knew they were from different worlds. Dante wanted Sean but had grown up showing a different face to the world. I loved the two of them together.
I received a copy of this story through Candid Book Reviews, and this is my unsolicited review.
My first read by this author. A second chance, rockstar mm book that worked from the first page.
This is romantic, intense, heartbreaking and sweet. Dante is the man his father made, a troublemaker, drag addict and straight. But he’s not really any of those things. He’s a bi-sexual, vulnerable and unhappy man who fell for a boy he met when he was 17. Sean is a broken hearted gay man who fell for the boy who gave him his first kiss. Lied to, manipulated and controlled, Dante tries to reach out to the boy with the grey eyes, but his father prevents it. 8 years go by and Dante finds himself burned out and needing some peace, so he goes to a very private retreat for musicians. Which happens to be owned by Sean’s father, and run by Sean. It’s not exactly a happy reunion, but eventually they get their past straightened out and have a happily ever after relationship.

I loved the idea/blurb of this story, unfortunately, for me, the execution was a bit of a letdown. The writing was good, but I don’t know, it was missing something, more passion and chemistry and less detail, maybe? Eh, who knows? *sighs*
I liked Sean, he was adorbs, but I never fully warmed up to Dante. Not only was he in the closet, but he allowed his father to rule his life and career with an iron fist. And don’t get me started with his father, because I hated Roger with the fire of a thousand suns, but Dante was 25 during the present portion of the book, old enough to have cut ties with someone who pretty much abused him since he was a kid. I don’t care if it was his father and he loved him, it just wasn’t healthy. Then we have Sean and Dante together. I loved their chemistry during their first encounter, but it wasn’t the same when they got together again. I think the author got lost giving us all kind of details and missed out on showing us why Sean and Dante belonged together. *shrugs*
Anyway, while not my favorite read, it was still good. I loved Phil, Sean’s father, and the last third or so of the book made it worth the time I spent reading it. And hey, who knows, perhaps you’ll like it more than I did.

An epic second chance romance with angst and heart!
This was a wonderful, feel-good story about second chances, instant connections and childhood sweethearts. I really enjoyed this story and the journey of youthful innocence to adult desire was done so well. This book will give you all the feels and give you great characters to fall in love with. I liked Rebecca’s take on the rocker image and the second chance romance. I could feel all the emotional entanglements of youthful lust turning into adult desire and it all felt believable and organic as Dante and Sean find their way back to each other. There was a lot of angst and false starts early on and a fair bit of back and forth but once they finally realized what they meant to each other there was no stopping them! I loved that this book is set in my hometown of Brisbane and enjoyed the Australian setting. This book is a great opener to this new series and I look forward to seeing where Rebecca will take us next!!! A great take of a rocker romance!!

This is a beautiful romance spanning years. Two young people meet, one famous and one not, and sparks fly. Then life keeps going and hurdles, and they lost each other for a while. Then seemingly out of nowhere they find each other again. I laughed and cried while reading this. It’s beautiful, touching, erotic, and funny. It honestly felt like reading a behind the scenes love story for a famous rock star. I found myself comparing different parts of their relationship to other musician romances I’d read in real life. I received this book at no charge and with no obligation. All opinions are my own.
I have never read Rebecca Raine before, however, the blurb for Finding Grey intrigued me as soon as I read it. And let me tell you, I loved it! Two young men meet and feel a strong attraction and connection right from the start. Their chemistry is undeniable, but then life intervenes, and they are torn apart. Now years later so much has changed. Can this be their second chance?
Dante Sinclair has been a rock star since he was young. He is adored by female fans everywhere. But it was a boy who shakes his world. He has an image to uphold and his father who manages him very strictly. And though they do not see each other for years afterwards, they never forgot the other.
Now Dante is looking to get his muse back and ends up at Sean’s family music retreat. Something about Sean calls to Dante. Can Dante finally admit what he feels and truly wants, or will he walk away again? Can Sean truly trust Dante? I loved both characters so much. They each struggled with their own issues and had to learn to work through them. I really enjoyed reading Finding Grey by Rebecca Raine and look forward to reading more from her.
