Loved this book. Was sad when I finished it.
Loved this true story.
Everybody who loves animals should read this.
I am so glad he found the little fella.
I absolutely loved this book! It shows the strong love that exists between a dog and his human.
Boring. Someone wanted to write a book about a dog because everyone’s doing it? Maybe.
I didn’t know what to expect but found it interesting & an easy read. If you love dogs or running or travel this is for you.
The traumatic bureaucracy that one must go through to bring a person or an animal to the US is unbelievable. But the further problems of untrustworthy people caring for the dog he left behind made the endeavor more painful. Yet ultimately, there was triumph. I love animals and it thrilled me that Gobi made it to the US.
I loved this book and little Gobi, the furry little heart-breaker. I recommend this book to everyone.
I enjoyed this book!
Great book. Highly recommended.
Great read about overcoming adversity in life in childhood and as an adult.
Bond and loyalty between man and dog is told beautifully!
I was so happy that this runner took the time and effort to save the little guy. However, I did wince thinking of how many thousands of dollars were spent on one dog when there are thousands of animals who are in need.
Heartwarming!
Didn’t much care for this one. Interesting story but redundant and slow moving. Not recommended by me. Sorry.
Lovely true story of a man and dog who find and support each other during a long-distance race across the Gobi desert, only to have a far harder effort in getting the dog to Edinburgh, Scotland from China. Well-written by a first-time author.
Read it in one evening. Even though I knew how it would end I couldn’t put it down. If you love dogs you’ve got to read it.
True story about a man and a dog……….sounds like a repeat we’ve heard before! Full of love, strength, caring and compassion. Also fun to learn about the type of runner the author was and how he got to where he is today. Wonderful descriptions of China and various towns and people.
If you are a person also blessed with a big hearted but spunky little dog, then “Finding Gobi” is sure to captivate your heart. It certainly did mine.
