This is a great quick read. It’s part of a wonderful series. There are twists, turns and surprises. i really enjoyed reading it.
I received this book as a ARC in return for a honest review
I really hate leaving negative reviews. I always look forward to new books but I really didn’t enjoy reading Finding Freedom by Avery North. I felt the writing was stilted and there was not much of a plot. The characters were not fully fledged out and I found I couldn’t connect with them. I was also disappointed by the shortness of the book, it didn’t leave a lot of room for plot and character building. Looking for a kindred spirit towards one another but I felt that was all they found: someone who understood exactly what they were going through. The relationship felt more like friendship that was halfheartedly pushed into romanance for the sake of the story’s direction. That spark just didn’t feel real to me.But lacked a connection.
Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and action packed journey filled with interesting and engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists, exciting turns and undeniable passion. Great reading!
Finding Freedom is a book that evolves around finding oneself. When Brad’s father suggest he accompanies him on a trip to Marrakesh, he goes against his better judgement. When they arrive his father grabs his camera and off he goes. While getting breakfast he overhears a family arguing with their daughter. Being caught admiring Brad’s tattoos, her parents get in her face and tells her what is expected of her. Swimming laps cools her temper and Brad admires her from afar. When he hears the strange wailing coming from above Simone explains what is going on and the two gets together. While talking they learn of all they plans their parents have made for them that does not follow with what they want. Touring the city they become separate and when Brad finally finds Simone she is being robbed by a would be robber. He comes to her rescue and escort her back to the hotel. These two have more in common than just parents mapping out their life choices. The attraction grows, they get along well together and they realize their kindred spirits.

This was a quick easy read. If you like young romance, a little danger and heroics this is the book for you. The main characters are Brad and Simone. Both are a little rebellious. I wanted more back story on Brad and his father’s estranged relationship. They are together but still very much apart. The romance between Simone and Brad is sweet. Would like to see more from these two.

An artist’s heart and soul
Finding Freedom is the third book in the Riad Dubois series and is the story of Brad and Simone.
Brad is in his late twenties and is in Marrakesh with his father Joshua who is a photographer for “that magazine”, the travel magazine Prestigio. Joshua was sent to take pictures for an article, as he is the photographer who is working with Louise for another article. Brad has accepted his father’s invitation and was determined to have a good time and explore the city. But his mind is somewhat back home in England with his band. They are in the studio putting the finishing touches to a recording that will break them into the music scene.
Simone Berger is her mid-twenties and is studying post graduate “stuff” before deciding on a career, that her parents find acceptable. but expect her to work in the family business and take it over. She is on vacation with her parents in Marrakesh where she has been a number of times as her father owns a factory there. Her mother is very concerned with appearances but Simone has an artist’s soul and is much more open and free, wanting to explore and experience new places and things.
After Joshua left Brad at breakfast to go to work Brad observed family at another table where the parents were arguing and the daughter had her head down and was obviously embarrassed. When they are walking out Brad watches and is mesmerized at the swing of the beautiful young woman’s hips. It seems Marrakesh might just be a lot more interesting and offer more sights than he originally thought. Simone”s parents were arguing after she had made a comment about Brad’s tattoos and what beautiful artwork they were. As she cannot take them bickering any more she decides to spend the day without them and heads to the pool. As Brad has nothing to do he lightly stalks her and goes to the pool also. They get to talking when Bard is surprised by the loud call to prayer, as he had not heard it before, and Simone tells him what it is. Thus they fall into conversation and end up making a date to meet at eight that night so Simone can “show him the real Marrakesh”.
This is a sweet story that also has more than a little drama, some action and some violence. But it also has instant attraction, romance, caring, protectiveness and of course hot and steamy chemistry between Brad and Simone. They are two young people who are both discovering who they are and what they want in life when they discover each other. They just know that they must be together and even though he lives in England and she is Paris they will figure it out together.
An amazing book three in the Riad Dubois series! The story line is well written, fast pace, captivating, and full of action, drama, intrigue, suspense, and steam. The characters are likeable and strong; their chemistry is instant. Definitely recommended!

I loved this book, it was definitely worth reading and I really recommend it.
This was a good book from start to finish. It moves along at a fairly fast clip so it makes for easy reading. Simone was struggling to make her parents see that she had become an adult and no longer needed them to make her decisions for her and she wanted the freedom to explore all the possibilities life had to offer her. Brad was a musician who was also trying to make his way in the life he had chosen while still trying to respect his own upbringing and not hurt anyone by striking out on his own. The two meet when they are both on vacation with family in Marakesh. A short book jam-packed with action, drama, danger, suspense, and love plus a lesson for parents on how and when to let go and let your children fly.

Brad’s father invites him to go to Marrakesh with him.
Simone’s parents are always having arguments and she feels embarrassed. She wants to fly away from her life of luxury with her parents.
I like the characters and the chemistry between them. What happens in Djemaa el Fna adds some intrigue to this short story.

This is book three in the Riad Dubois series. Marrakesh strikes again as it draws Brad and Simone to it. Brad is looking to seek out and carve out his own path. Simone is wanting to experience life outside of her family’s wealth. When these two meet it is an instant connection. Why is it one has to love and almost lose to recognize that they are in love? This is a fast paced story with two characters looking to find themselves but find each other as well. Enjoy!

This was a quick story which sometimes is just perfect. I enjoyed the exotic location and the writing was well done. It was steamy and fun to read.
This is a voluntary review from an ARC and it is my honest opinion.
Simone’s parents are not happy that she doesn’t want to follow in their footsteps in business. Brad’s father is upset that he quit university to become a musician. Staying at the same hotel in Marrakesh, they hit it off immediately, and make plans to go out. She’s attacked that night, and he’s not content to let things be – he heads out the next day to look for her attacker. This book had a little darker turn than the earlier two in the series. Brad and Simone are great together, with mutual interests. He’s not quite mature enough to listen to others about criminals, but he learned his lesson. Her parents didn’t like him at first, what with his messy hair and tats, but they eventually came around.

Brad and Simone meet when they are vacationing with their parents and are attracted to each other. She shows him around the town and when she is attacked he rescues her. Her parents did not like him with his tattoos but soon finds out he is so much more than you see. Sweet romance with some suspense and adventure.
If you’re looking for a quick read then ‘Finding Freedom’ is for you.
Brad is in Marrakesh at his father’s invitation. His father has a photo shoot assignment and this was to be a working vacation. Simone is there with her parents since her dad has a factory there.
Brad is a tatooed musician and Simone is on the cusp of deciding what she wants to do with her life. Originally her parents cant see past the tattoos to the honorable young man but when he defends her from an unsavory individual that changes.
Again, quick read but great read!!

This is an extremely fast paced book (I personally would have preferred a little bit slower), but the storyline is great and the characters quirky. Even though there was very little background on the main characters, I was still able to relate to them.

This is the third book of the Riad Dubois series. It is a short, fast paced, adventorious insta-love romance between Brad and Simone at the Riad that will have you clinging to the edge of your seat. The connection between them is electrifying. Simone takes Brad to the famous square in the old quarter called Dejmaa el Fna and their adventure. Ms. North has written another awesome book.

Brad is a musician, much to the dismay of his father when he dropped out of the university to pursue his passion. His dad had invited him on a trip to Marrakesh and he hoped he made the right choice. Immediately his dad grabbed his camera case and ran off to take pictures for the magazine. Brad already knew there was only one woman near his age, but she was French and was with her family, probably only able to speak French. As he walked by their table to get more breakfast, he heard the adults arguing loudly. Then they all left.
Simone Berger wants her parents to realize she is an adult now and capable of making her own life choices. They had seen her admire the young man’s tattoos at breakfast and started the right about her having standards to keep etc. She tried to explain to them she simply admired the artistic nature of the tattoos but they just were not listening. They saw her still as a child. So she grabbed her bag of beachwear and headed out to the pool where she swam 20 laps before she calmed down. Brad had been watching her, but she was such a good swimmer, competitive quality, that he didn’t join her and just watched. When she sat in a deck chair, he again lost courage when he tried to approach her. It wasn’t until a strange wailing sound from a tower had him looking up in puzzlement. She told him it was a call to prayer, and figured this was his first time here. Ah, she spoke English!
Simone asked about his tattoos and he said they each said something about him, especially the band symbol representing his love of rock music. When he asked if she wanted the career her parents wanted for her, she said no! She wanted something that would set her free from the boring entitled life they want her to live. But she wanted something in art or music, maybe. Then he took her hand and asked if she would have dinner with him. She agreed and said she would show him around Marrakesh. He was amazed at what she showed him, but the streets were tightly crowded and she disappeared from his side. He found her struggling with a man who was pulling on her purse, so Brad ran up and punched the guy before taking her back to the hotel by taxi. She felt so stupid. But he sat beside her, angry at the way she had been treated and wanting to track the man down! Her cheeks grew warm and she put her hand on his.
The two of them really like each other’s company and their attraction is very evident. They recognize each other’s spirit and desires, and their relationship gets stronger as they learn to trust and enjoy what they feel starting. How far will this take them? Will the end of the vacation make them both just walk away? Will her parents try to intervene? Grab your copy and see if this was meant to be something more for both of them!
This is the third book in the Riad Dubois series and my personal favorite. I felt that the characters created by Avery North were very real. We meet Brad on vacation in Marrakesh with his father Joshua who is working. We also meet Simone who is at the Riad with her parents. The two of them meet and that is where the story takes off. You will not be disappointed in this installment.
