“Jamie Fraser would be Deeply Gratified at having inspired such a charmingly funny, poignant story—and so am I.”—Diana Gabaldon, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Outlander seriesEscape to Scotland with the delightful novel that readers have fallen in love with—inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s #1 New York Times bestselling Outlander series. I met Jamie Fraser when I was nineteen years old. …
I met Jamie Fraser when I was nineteen years old. He was tall, red-headed, and at our first meeting at least, a virgin. He was, in fact, the perfect man. That he was fictional hardly entered into it…
On the cusp of thirty, Emma Sheridan is desperately in need of a change. After a string of failed relationships, she can admit that no man has ever lived up to her idea of perfection: the Scottish fictional star of romantic fantasies the world over—James Alexander Malcolm MacKenzie Fraser.
Her ideal man might be ripped from the pages of a book, but Emma hopes that by making one life-altering decision she might be able to turn fiction into fact. After selling all her worldly possessions, Emma takes off for Scotland with nothing but her burgeoning travel blog to confide in.
But as she scours the country’s rolling green hills and crumbling castles, Emma discovers that in searching for her own Jamie Fraser, she just might find herself.

A warm and funny little read, filled with entertaining and interesting characters. If you’re a lover of all things Scots, this one’s for you. May we all find our Fraser!
Very original, Go out on a limb for your dreams, you’ll never know what you’ll find.
very clever idea and an enjoyable read
This was a very unusual book in a good way. Sometimes we just don’t see what is in front of us. I enjoyed the story that takes place in Scotland and loved the witty and funny people you will meet in this story.
If You are a fan of the book hide the outlanders you’ll love this book
too long. disappointing
Fun to read, but a little predictable.
This is a fun little light romance – especially if you are a fan of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
A quick fun read for all of the fans of the “Outlander” series. As a fun I throughly enjoyed reading this.
I could not even bring myself to finish it.
I am still reading it but I am hooked and it is so different and referring to one of my Most favorite authors, you want to read this fir a light choice.
An absolute must-read for any Outlander fan. The story is both hilarious and romantic, as well as guaranteed to have readers turning the pages until the wee hours to discover if the heroine finds her very own Jamie Fraser.
This book was such a fun read. As a huge Outlander fan, I could totally appreciate our heroine’s quest to find her own Jamie Fraser.
Wannabe Outlander stories (time travel/romance/Scotland) stories are a dime a dozen, but Finding Fraser is different. We follow the journey of an Outlander fan to find her own Jamie Fraser. Not a time travel tale, but a present-time search for a larger-than-life old-fashioned, masculine guy, preferably in a kilt. It’s lightweight, entertaining, and a pleasant bit of summer reading.
I’ve never read anything quite like it. An American woman obsessed with finding her own Jamie Fraser (Outlander) is on a quest…which becomes more of a romp through the Scottish Highlands. She’s faced with plenty of challenges, betrayals, and something to prove (like her sanity) to her relatives back home and fans who follow her progress through her blog. Through all the ups and downs you can’t help rooting for her–even though you know her quest is a bit nutty.
As someone who read the Outlander books 20 years ago and had to wait patiently for each new one to come out, I felt this book was very juvenile. Maybe it is just my age, I wanted to like it but really didn’t. Perhaps, it is made for a younger audience. I found the main character and her sister annoying. I did love the Scottish Farmer though and having visited Scotland myself, I enjoyed reading about places I had been.
Didn’t care for the writing style.
It was predictable but fun. If you enjoy the Outlander books, you’ll relate. Not brilliant writing but entertaining and easy. A nice beach read or take it on a flight.
it was a cute book. I felt there were a lot of missed opportunities for more humor. I did like the premise.
Really fun, modern read
