I know it happens in real life (a person taking advantage of you sexually) so it was not a story I really enjoyed. It is very tastefully, well-written though also sad because Amanda turned away from good advice from her husband. Fortunate for her, he did not give up working to help her & bringing about a good ending. I received a free copy from the author. This is my voluntary review.
OH WOW! OH WOW!! OH WOW!!!
Finding Amanda is an intense suspenseful thriller that tells the story of Amanda and Mark. Where Chasing Amanda covers the time period before Mark is deployed to Afghanistan, Finding Amanda picks up several years later. Amanda is determined to publish an explosive memoir which creates a chasm in their already rocky marriage.
Robin Patchen is masterful in capturing a reader’s interest and building the suspense to fever pitch. She throws in some plot twists (that I never saw coming!) and hurls the reader toward a surprising resolution.
With excellent writing skills, great character building, and a strong storyline, this author has provided an inspirational romantic suspense worthy of 5 star accolades!
Again – a winner from Robin Patchen! Her books are clean & inspirational. This one had a great plot with some twists, along with action. Love her books!
I am hooked on Robin Patchen’s books. You will be too if you like Christian suspense.
Love the intricate character development. Highly recommend.
Hard to put down. We don’t know the whole story, God does. That is why it is always best to ask Him for wisdom in making decisions.
What a wonderful follow up to book 1. At first I was so upset, Mark and Amanda divorcing…say it isn’t so! Then Alan comes in the picture, something doesn’t sit well with me with him…how do I end up liking him and feeling sorry for him? Thank goodness there are times love conquers all…especially when God is present.
Enjoyed this book a great deal. The main characters were so realistic. I highly recommend this book for people who are lost or lonely.
I loved it and will continue to read this author’s stories !
Amanda had no foundation in the word of God I mean He had failed her when she needed Him most so why should she believe . Mark had a strong foundation but hadn’t really done anything to strengthen his relationship. Amanda has a past that is chasing after her and because she has’t given herself or her yoke to God she is being drowned in fear, guilt, anger and so may other crippling emotions. When Mark finally turns their relationship over to God will it be soon enough to save her, to save them?
A great story based on the word about being unequally yoked. While this isn’t your standard spiritual read it is based on good word and this couple learn a hard lesson about seeking wise counsel and not being emotionally available to others when you are married. There is suspense and intrigue to go along with it and a great story to round it out. Loved it and this author.
This was a delightful book about a young girl, Amanda, and an unwilling (at first) young man who comes to her aid. Mark, has an amazing ability to sense trouble and the courage and strength to step in to help. Scarred by his past with the unhealthy relationship between his parents, he is very reluctant to ever marry but … the reader and Amanda are hoping he will change his mind when he returns from from his service as a Marine. As soon as I finished this book, I ordered the next book … Chasing Amanda, as I couldn’t wait to find out what happened.
Good but predictable
